Four months. Four months had passed since the death of Percy Jackson. Everyone still dragged themselves around, as if they were lost. I couldn't blame them. But we had to prepare for the final battle.

Luke Castellen hadn't gotten away from Elysium and given up eternal peace for nothing. In fact none of those fallen half bloods or hunters had done it for nothing. So we started preparing for the final battle, getting traps and spears ready.

I was on my bed, sharpening my spear when Jay came in, a bouquet of flowers in his hands and a box of chocolate.

I raised an eyebrow, "What are those, Wolf Boy?" over the months I've gotten more bitter and Jay and I had started hanging out less and less.

"Its Valentines day, February 14th, right?" he asked, "I've never really been good with dates.

I barely cracked a smile, but I nodded and got up, looking at Jay.

"Was this your failed effort in trying to get me to cheer up and become less cranky?" I ask.

"Well... Yeah." he replied, sighing. "Silver, the happiness has been sapped out of you. I can see it every time I looked into your eyes."

"You know nothing." I snapped.

"I know that your depressed, I know that your sad. And I know that you need some rest."

"How can I rest when I'm constantly haunted?" I hissed.

"Don't get in a hiss." chided Jay and I blinked.

"Fine. I blame myself for your brothers death." I said at last, "Maybe if I had been paying more attention..."

"Silver, I know what your going through, I blame myself too, but we can't dwell on it." He murmured, "Tell you what. When we get married we are going to dedicate the wedding to every fallen hero. From demigod to hunter to just helpful mortals."

"Your not as dumb as I thought you were." I teased softly and Jay actually laughed.

He managed to kill his smile and he said, "come on, I have to show you something." Immediately my mind thought uh oh, but I followed him anyway. We stepped into his cabin room Where an Irish message was playing. "Look."

"Come on!" Yelled a black haired girl with gems weaved into her hair. "I thought you were cyclops! SHOW ME FEROCIOUS!" As she turned I could see piercings in her nose, by her eyes, tattoos around her arms and neck.

Dozens of monsters were gathered around her, yet she didn't seem very scared. Many monsters from Dragons to hell hounds to werewolves were gathered.

"Come on! Gaea has already risen, all she needs now is her world back, and we will all get what we were promised!" I suddenly realized who that girl was, the girl speaking to the mob of monsters. It was Gem.

The message shut off and I looked at Jay, trying to find an explanation. "W-what did she mean by 'Gaea has already risen?'" I asked, gulping.

"I think you already know the answer to that." he whispered quietly.

"I-I do, but I fear if I say it out loud..."

Jay leaned forward and kissed me, cutting me off. I felt my worries melt along with the kiss.

Finally he pulled away and I hugged him, "Was that to shut me up?" I asked, smiling slightly.

"Maybe. Or maybe I just wanted to do that."

"Well, Wolf Boy. Lets go to battle. Are the troop ready?"

"Ready as they'll ever be." he replied, "Lets go."

He slid his fingers into mine and I gave him a small smile. It was time for the final battle. Officially.

Whoever came out alive would be more than 'lucky'. But those who would die would be honored.

If we lose, I'll still die with my friends, my family, and most importantly.

Jay.
