"And here are the dorms, the final bit of the tour. Here's the girls, the boys are down the hall." Mr. Aizawa explained, "Now, like I said earlier due to internal complications we're 'overpopulated' so some will have to share dorms for the time being."

At once a grumble arose from the crowd, and everyone began making their way towards their friends.

"Hey Nik," Adara jogged up to the other, "We just met and all but wanna share a dorm?"

Nikki laughed and smiled at her for a moment, before her face went blank, "oh, Wait really? Aw, I'd love to! I thought you were joking for a minute there." She rubbed the back of her head shyly.

"Haha, nah. Come on let's go get our dorm."

It took quite a while for the two to get where they needed to be, as students rushed to Mr. Aizawa to get the best dorms. And that would be the dorms closest to the staircase, of course, so you wouldn't have to rush to class.

Luckily, Adara and Nikki ended up getting a dorm closer to the staircase than they both anticipated, so after 30 grueling minutes of pushing their way through crowds to get their dorm key, they were relieved to find a spacious dorm with one window, one bed, one dresser, and one pull-out couch.

They both sighed and smiled at each other.

"Ah- I can sleep on the couch, if you want. I don't mind." Nikki suggested, dropping her luggage in the corner.

"Nah, we can take turns." Adara responded, sitting on the bed, and opening one of her suitcases.

"I wonder if all the other dorms look like this..Do you think somebody else got a bigger room? I hope nobody got a smaller room, that would stink for them. Hey, how soft is the bed? Oh!! I can't wait for training tomorrow! I can't wait to meet everyone officially. This is gonna be great!" Nikki rambled, piling stack after stack of clothes and books and supplies on the dresser.

Adara watched with an amused grin as the other rushed from the restroom, to the closet, and up to her. "Hey..er....I just realized, I don't know your quirk." She said sheepishly.

Adara nodded as if she had expected the question. "It's solar absorption. I absorb energy from the sun and transfer it into energy. You know, red and pink flames that I can control, though occasionally they burn me. Oh, and I don't mean to brag, and I'm pretty sure this isn't part of my quirk, but I can do hand to hand combat pretty good." She shrugged with a smile.

Nikki's eye sparkled as she gaped. "That's so cool..." she muttered under her breath.

"I think so." Adara winked, turning back to her luggage. "So tell me more about your quirk...you make people hallucinate?" 

"Mmhmm." Nikki said, re-folding her clothes, "If I lock eyes with someone I can make them see, hear, feel, smell, or taste anything I wish...Ah- but I can only do one at a time on one person at a time."

"Is that why?..you know." Adara said.

"Oh, my eye? Yeah. My quirk makes the left side of my body really light and heat sensitive. That's why I wear the eyepatch thingamabob-" she lifted it to reveal her left eye shut firmly, then put it back on, "And this glove- and this hearing aid. I also always have to wear tights- or a really, really long stocking on my left leg."

Adara nodded in understanding before plopping on the bed.

"Well, I don't know about you but I'm beat, so I'm gonna try to take a nap since we don't have class until tomorrow."

"Alright. I'm going to finish packing but I'll try to be quite and...I think I'll take a nap in a bit too."

"Alright. G'night."

"Night."

Then, as if contented by what it had just heard, just outside their dorm door, a shadow slithered away.
