While drawing Onyx today, I realized that their colour palette is really limited since their hair is two-toned (more specifically, blue and orange- which means their clothes could only be muted versions of those colours, mixes, and browns for the palette to be cohesive) and so I adjusted some colours just a little.

I made the oranges a little more red, which means now I can include red in their outfits! I love the colour combination of muted coral-red & turquoise sm it's not even funny :')

And I'm super proud of the pose and fluidity too!! :D
I spent most of my free time today trying so many times to get it right, and I think it definitely paid off.
And yes, I am going to be one of those people who draws feet like this now >:)

Which leads me to wonder what Onyx is wearing on their legs. Would it be entirely shoe or entirely pants?

Anyway, I achieved the cartoony style I was going for, and that makes me really happy! A lot of the time it's hard to tell that I'm improving at art; I try so many times to get a single pose or expression right, and it just doesn't work. But this is one of the times when I can definitely see it, and it's reassuring ^^

ACK IM GETTING AHEAD OF MYSELF-
ok ok so I actually merged my last two images of Onyx & Lunaris, and here they are together with their heights as accurate as I could get them!

And of course these are just concept sketches; I might (and probably will) change things in the future
