"Avengers Tower?! Are you serious?!" Millie asks in excitement. Molly chuckles and nods as they walk into the front lobby. "I am." She says camly. Molly shows her badge to a security guard and he lets the two of them pass. Millie bounces excitedly as she looks around. This is freaking awesome.

"Millie." Molly calls from the elevator. Millie runs away from the photo of the original six Avengers and runs into the elevator with Molly. Molly presses the 175 floor button and the elevator begins to rise. "But why?" Millie asks as she looks around the elevator. "I thought you couldn't bring visitors into the tower."

Molly hums as she waits patiently for the elevator to rise, a smile on her face. Millie looks around the elevator as if it's made of gold. "I couldn't." The elevator reaches the 175 floor. "Until today." The two of the step out and Millie squeals in excitement as she looks around the hallway. The Avengers are only about 20 or so floors up. This is so cool!

"What's so special about today?" Millie asks as she tries to peer into the blurry glass walls. There are 20 by 20 glass cells and Millie believes they are individual labs for each employee. She's done enough research about the tower to guess that. "I called in a favor." Molly answers simply as they reach a glass cube in the corner. Molly scans her card and they both step inside.

"Woah." Millie breaths as she looks around. Molly has a window view. Cool. A robotic arm sits on a desk in the corner, a strange pen in its hand. "So what do you do here?" Millie asks as she sits down on a circle swivel chair. Molly puts her purse into a locker and takes Millie's and puts her in there too.

Molly opens her mouth to supply the scientifics of her research, but Millie won't understand what any of it means so she decides to dumb it down. "I am trying to find a way for cancer cells to disappear on their own. I am using a willing recipient's blood to help the process." Molly chooses to leave out the name of her recipient. Millie would go into shock if she found out Molly had drawn Captain America's blood.

The man's regenerative healing factor is able to fight off any sickness and from what her research shows, destroy cancer cells as they begin to appear. She's only in the testing stage and had yet to get into animal testing. Human testing is years away, but science can't be rushed.

"Cool." Millie states as she spins on her chair. Molly sits at her desk and pulls her lab coat on and buttons it closed. Millie gasps at her. "You have a white coat?! Cool!" Molly shakes her head with a fond smile. The lab coat is simply for sanitary reasons. If particles from her clothes get into her test tubes she would have to go to Rogers for more blood.

The man doesn't seem bothered by it, but even a super soldier has to take a break to get their blood sugar up after so much of it has been taken. Especially from the artery. Highly oxygenated blood cells show the most promise in Molly's research.

"Millie," Molly starts as she turns to face her sister. "I know you aren't that excited about your-" Molly waves her hand at Millie and she frowns, instantly knowing what she is talking about. Her mutation. "But I think it is incredible." Millie smiles a bit at Molly. "I was wondering if you wanted to see how it changes your body."

Millie stares at her sister for a moment. She's been taught to hide it all costs, but this is Molly. She trusts her sister with more than her life. And she stuck up for her when her parents were discussing their secret careers.

"...Okay." Millie says after a pause. Molly smiles at her sister, then reaches into a drawer and pulls out a small device. "I know you hate big needles so," Molly shows the finger prick. The needle can't even be seen. Millie nods and sticks her hand out. Molly takes her hand and presses the finger prick to her index finger. Millie yelps as the needle pokes her.

Molly laughs at Millie's light outburst. "You only need a drop?" Millie asks as Molly presses a bit of Millie's blood onto a slide. "Mhmm." Molly mumbles with a nod. She prepares the slide under a high tech microscope and lets out a breath at what she sees. Millie's blood has strange greenish and orangish-red hues around each blood cell and they all appear to be fluctuating and pulsing. Similar to a heat wave like effect you see on hot days.

She presses a button and the blood appears on the computer screen. "Woah." Millie breaths as she sees her blood. Molly nods as she leans back to look at it on the bigger screen. "Incredible, huh?" Millie nods slowly. Molly narrows her eyes at it. "I can run more tests. See what you can do, but," Millie looks at Molly. "Only if you want me to. I won't do anything you aren't comfortable with."

Millie gives Molly a long look, then the door to Molly's lab room beeps. Molly turns the monitor of her computer off and takes the blood slide out from under the microscope, tossing it into her biohazard garbage bin. They both watch as a well known face steps in and smiles at them both.

      Tony freaking Stark.

"No way." Millie breaths in shock. Molly smiles and stands. "Mr. Stark." She greets as she shakes his hand. "When will you start calling me Tony? It's been two years, Ms. Maverick." Tony shoots back teasingly. Molly chuckles. Millie gapes at them both. "This is my baby sister Millie." Tony turns to Millie and smiles. "So this is one of the many Maverick kids I've heard so much about."

Millie's jaw drops. "Tony Stark knows who I am." She whispers. Tony chuckles and Molly smiles at her sister. "So which one are you?" Millie gapes for a moment. "Ah," She swallows hard, then shakes her head and smiles embarrassed. "Um, the middle one. Homeschooled." Tony nods at her then turns around. "Parker! What's keeping you?"

Millie watches as a boy her age walks into the room. "Sorry Mr. Stark! I was watching someone making some elephants toothpaste-" The boy stops talking and stares at Millie. "Uh, hi." Tony and Molly share a look as the two teens stare at each other. "Peter. Peter Parker." he introduces and sticks his hand out. Millie smiles a bit, her cheeks turning red and causing Peter's to do the same. "Millie Maverick."

Molly clears her throat and Millie looks at her. Molly gives her a smirk and Millie narrows her eyes at her sister. "Millie, it was Tony whose favor I called in." Millie looks at Tony wide eyed. "Really?" Tony nods and puts a hand on Millie's shoulder. It takes everything in her to stop a fangirl squeal. "Oh yeah. Molly here said you've been cooped up because of homeschool. Asked if there was anything I could do to help."

Millie stares wide eyed at Tony, then looks at Molly. "Really?" She says, an octave too high. Molly shrugs. "It was no big deal." Tony nods and smiles at Molly. "I figured you and Parker could work together." And the red returns to both of their cheeks. "What?" They both asked at the same time. The red deepens. "But I'm not smart. I can't do all the cool stuff."

Peter's face, if at all possible, turns even redder. Millie just (indirectly) called him cool.

"Well, I'm sure you are smart enough for an assistant roll. Running errands. Keeping track of needed supplies. Maybe even work out some schedules for the team." Millie's eyes practically pop out of her head. "The team? You- You mean the Avengers?!" Tony shrugs and glances at Peter seeing how red his face is and smirks knowingly.

Millie's eyes meet the floor. Molly watches as she stuffs her hands into her pockets, not missing the forming grey clouds. High emotions mean low control for her. Luckily she's learned how to hide it.

"Maybe that's enough for today. If Millie hears anymore, she'll have an aneurysm." Tony chuckles and nods. "C'mon Underoos. We've got to order pizza for lunch. Barton keeps spamming me texts." They both leave the room, Peter giving Millie one last look before the door closes behind him.

"Millie, have you forgotten how to function?" Millie slowly nods, eyes still wide and cast at the ground. Molly chuckles and sits at her desk. "Okay. Tell me when your system reboots."

"So that kid with Mr. Stark," Millie starts as she and Molly walk out of the McDonalds. She sips her coke. "Who was he?" She asks looking at the ground to avoid Molly's knowing look. "Why? You think he's cute?" Millie elbows Molly and the elder sister laughs. "I'll take that as a yes." Millie grumbles out demonic noises only making Molly laugh harder.

"Peter Parker is Mr. Stark's personal intern. He's been at the tower since early in the year." Millie nods and sips her drink again. She can't seem to get Peter's face out of her mind. "He deserves the job too. The kid is brilliant. I heard whispers he's working on the nanotech prototype suits with Stark." Millie looks at Molly. "Nanotech?" She asks, confused.

Molly shakes her head. "You won't get it." Millie hums and goes back to her drink. If Molly says she won't understand something, then she won't. Millie trusts Molly's judgement better than her parents' judgement. Then again, she's not even sure she can trust them with all the secrets they've been keeping. Speaking of which....

"Hey, Molly?" Molly looks away from her McFlurry. "Yeah?" She responds. "Um, a few weeks ago, I kind of overheard mom and dad talking." Molly's face becomes stoick. "I'm not sure what it's about, but I was wondering if you could tell me." Molly clenches her jaw and stares at Millie for a moment, then looks away, blatant guilt on her face. She forgets about Millie's enhanced hearing sometimes.

"...I can't tell you." Millie creases her brows and looks at Molly. "Why not?" Molly doesn't answer and keeps her eyes away from Millie. Getting the message, Millie nods and looks at the ground. "Great. Now you are keeping secrets too." Molly sighs heavily and stops walking. Millie pauses and looks at her.

"I'm not... Keeping secrets." Millie raises an eyebrow at her. Molly sighs in defeat. "Okay, maybe I am." Millie sees the conflict in Molly's eyes. She can tell Molly wants to tell her. "I just- It's not for me to tell, Mill. It's Mom and Dad's job to tell you on their own." Millie looks down.

"Why do I get the feeling they won't?"

Molly's eyes dance across Millie's face, then starts walking again. "I feel that way too, Mill. I'm sorry." Millie's shoulders sag in defeat. She's going to have to figure this out on her own.
