~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Batra sir was sitting in his cabin with his head covered by both of his palms. He was thinking that how fast the night changes. A few days ago only he was mentally praising Monami for per commendable performance in drills. And today, the best cadet of the academy is no more!
Suddenly, he remembered something and he stood up with a jolt.
O Ri Chiraiya
Nanhi si chidiya
Angnaa mein phir aaja re
Batra sir - Oh god! How could I forget such a huge thing!?
Batra sir hurriedly picked up his phone and dialed a number while fiddling with some papers. After 2 rings, the person on the other side picked up the phone.
Batra sir - Hello, am I talking to Dr. Deepak Mahajan?
Person - Yes, Dr. Deepak Mahajan speaking! But I'm not taking any patients right now as I'm not at the hospital. By the way, who's this?
Batra sir - ah..oh, this is Col. Pushpendra Batra, incharge of Parakram SAF. Mujhe aapse kuchh zaroori baat karni thi.
Dr. Mahajan didn't replied anything but laughed sarcastically and Batra sir somewhere knew the reason and closed his eyes tightly in disgust.
Dr. Mahajan - I knew it! I knew it ki ek din Monami academy se haar mankar vapis zaroor aayegi. Isliye hi phone kiya hai na aapne?
O Ri Chiraiya
Nanhi si chidiya
Angnaa mein phir aaja re
Batra sir (in a wet voice) - I wish ki ye sach hota, Dr. Mahajan ki Cadet Monami Mahajan chahe academy se haar mankar hi sahi...lekin duniya mein hoti to. I'm sorry to inform you that Cadet Dr. Monami Mahajan lost her life while serving the nation!
These words of Col. Batra were enough to shake Dr. Mahajan to the core. His phone fell from his hands and unknown to him, his legs and hands started shivering and he immediately fell on the floor with a 'thud' sound and an expressionless face.
Andhiyara hai ghana aur lahu se sana
Kirno ke tinke ambar se chunn ke
Angna mein phir aaja re
Many servants of the house rushed towards Dr. Mahajan looking at his condition and helped him to sit properly on a couch beside. They were confused seeing tears streaming down his cheeks. The servants wanted to enquire about the matter but didn't do so as they knew how 'Khadoos' Deepak is. As soon as the servants left, Deepak stood and went in Monami's room remembering each and every moment he has spent with Monami since her birth till now. Deepak felt as if someone's snatching a part of his heart away from him.
Humne tujhpe hazaro sitam hain kiye
Humne tujhpe jahaan bhar ke zulm kiye
He remembered the moments he spent with unborn Monami, when Juhi was 8 months pregnant and Monami started to kick.
Juhi (excitedly) - Deepak dekhiye..Baby ne kick kiya!
Deepak being extremely happy, came and kept both his hands on either side of Juhi's tummy and tears of happiness started falling from his eyes feeling the movements of his to be daughter. But today he can't feel any movement in her and today the tears of happiness are replaced by tears of grief and loss.
Deepak remembered the day when he first held his daughter in his arms and heard her voice for the very first time and felt the happiest in the world. But today his girl is no more with him nor he can hear her melodious voice anymore.
He remembered the day when he was teaching Monami to walk while supporting her with his hands. She fell and started crying. That's when Deepak taught her to never give up, like her mother! But he never asked her to leave, like her mother!
Humne socha nahi
Tu jo ud jaayegi
Ye zameen tere bin sooni reh jaayegi
Kiske dum pe sajega angna mera
Deepak remembered the day when she was asking him to permit her to join Parakram SAF as she wants to be an army doctor and serve the nation just like her mother did. Deepak's felt himself being extremely broken as Monami also left him like Juhi did!
O Ri Chiraiya, meri Chiraiya
Angnaa mein phir aaja re
Deepak stood up and somehow reached near Juhi's photo and fell on his knees while crying hysterically.
Deepak (while crying) - JUHI!!! Mon..aaamiii! Chhod..kar..cha..chali gayi mujhe! Hu..humesha kehti thi tumhare jaisi ba..egi, tumhare jaisi banegi! Kya pata tha ki vo bhi... tumhari tarah hi..mu...jhe chh..odkar chali jayegi!
Tere pankho mein saare sitare jadu
Deepak then suddenly remembered something and wiped his tears forcefully. He picked up the car keys and left to somewhere while crying.
In about an hour, he reached a place and as he entered, he saw someone looking at whom his anger reached at it's peak and he immediately slapped that person so hard that the corner of his lip started bleeding. The person turned and was shocked to see Deepak there. His eyes filled with guilt while his face reflected no emotions. Everyone there were equally shocked to see Deepak and were also surprised as Karan didn't said anything.
(So, ya! The place was Parakram SAF and the person whom Deepak slapped was Karan.)
Teri chunar satrangi bunu
Deepak held Karan by his collar and was again going to slap him but Sid came in between and everyone tried hard and freed Karan from Deepak's hold. All this while, Karan was all quiet and this was only noticed by Faizi.
Sid (quiet angrily) - Uncle! Ye aap kya kar rahe ho!? Aur aap yaha!?
Deepak (shouting angrily) - Col. Batra ne call kara aur iss Special Agent ki kartut ke baare mein bataya. Isi ki wajah se gayi hai meri beti ki jaan! Pehle meri beti ko goli mari thi aur ab usne uski jaan bhi leli! Tum beech mein mat aao, Sid. He'll pay for his deeds. I'll sue him!
Tere kaajal mein main kaali raina bharu
Deepak was again going towards Karan and this time, SidZi pushed him away angrily.
Faizi - Dr. Mahajan, agar koi kuch keh nahi raha to iska ye matlab nahi ki aap apni hadein paar kardein!
Sid - Mahajan uncle, jo hua usme Karan sir ki koi galti nahi hai!
Bala - Haanji doctor sahib, humare Karan sir kuchh galat nahi kar sakte! He is...
Chitra - #The best!
Teri mehandi mein main kacchi dhoop malu
Tere naino sajaa doon naya sapna
Deepak (sarcastically and in wet voice) - Oh is it? To fir aapke so-called best trainer apni cadet ko hi nahi bacha paye!? Aur jaha tak mujhe yaad hai, tum aur Monami to shayad ek dusre se pyaar bhi karte thhe na? KYA MIL GAYA TUMHE APNE PYAAR AUR MERI BACHI KO MAAR KAR!!!
O Ri Chiraiya, meri Chiraiya
Angnaa mein phir aaja re
Now this was it for both Deepak and Karan. Deepak started shedding bitter tears as he was not able to digest the fact that the girl who was his daughter, his life, his everything is not going to be with him ever. Sid too got tears in his eyes as he was also missing his Monu bro and also understood Deepak's point of view. His outburst and cruel words said to Karan were somewhere obvious and relevant as losing a daughter is not a small thing which could be forgotten easily.
But Karan didn't understand Deepak's views, instead he took each and every word said by Deepak very seriously. He didn't said anything and left towards the terrace while shedding unknown tears. He made sure to not to come in anyone's notice but someone noticed him going towards the terrace and the person sighed sadly and followed him.
O Ri Chiraiya
Nanhi si chidiya
Angnaa mein phir aaja re
O Ri Chiraiya...
