"I TAKE BACK THE WORDS THAT I MISS YOU. To be honest, I have a girlfriend. I'm trash that was trying to have an affair with you. I apologize." Soo-ah said, finishing reading the message Jug-yeong had received from the guy she had a date with the night before. "What's with him?"

Kim Ji-an shook her head from her spot beside Soo-ah and squeezed Jug-yeong's shoulder reassuringly. "Don't be sad, Jug-yeong. He's not worth it. It's better that it happened this way instead of him leading you on more and then getting your heart broken. I'm sure you'll find someone a lot better than that guy."

Jug-yeong nodded still a little surprised by the turn of events, but if she was being honest she didn't care as much as she should about that guy dumping her. Since the start she hadn't been that keen about going. She only had agreed because Soo-ah had insisted on it.

"Did you get dumped?!" Han Seo-jun chuckled in disbelief his cat like eyes shining with amusement. Around him, his little group of friends laughed at his remark, the sound increasing when Seo-jun continued his teasing. "How can you get rejected that easily? How long did it last? A day?"

Kim Ji-an suppressed her eye roll as she turned to her fake boyfriend with irritation. His attention had already been on her as if he had anticipated a retort from her the second he finished his sentence. "How can you be so noisy? This is non of your business Han Seo-jun."

"Yeah, listen to your girlfriend." Soo-ah said giving the couple a look to not start an argument in front of the class. She didn't think I'll work given the two were equally as stubborn but miraculously it did, the couple turned away from the other like a little kid would after getting told they couldn't play with their toy anymore. After all, they had a facade to maintain—which they were pretty much failing at keeping. The one person they had to convince wasn't believing one single bit of their act.

Once school was over, the group consisting of Soo-ah, Soo-jin, Tae-hoon, Jug-yeong, and
Ji-an made their way to the usual spot they went to study. It was a nice cozy place provided for study groups. Ji-an had immensely missed this place while in Miami. Online school did not provide this type of experiences. The moment they went inside the group of five froze on their spots, all of their eyes settled on Lee Su-ho who was sitting at one of the tables. Previously, Soo-jin and Soo-ah had told Ji-an about having asked Su-ho to join them in their study sessions. The pair had told her that he hadn't accepted so Ji-an was confused to see him there.

Sharing the same confusion, Soo-jin spoke, "What's are you doing? You said you don't do study groups."

Lee Su-ho stopped writing on his notebook looking at the group with his usual cold expression. His eyes lingering on Ji-an a little longer than necessary which did not went unnoticed by the girl. "I said I don't want to, but never said I wouldn't do it".

Tae-hoon seemed more than happy with the news. "Wow. Our study group has the schools first, second, and third ranks." He aggressively placed his arms over his chest forming an x. "We're totally the avengers."

"Okay, then." Soo-jin shrugged being the first to make her way to the table. The rest followed suit leaving Ji-an to be the last to reach the table which resulted in the only available spot to be the one next to Su-ho.

It was hard for Ji-an to concentrate knowing Su-ho was sitting next to her. For the most part she did a pretty decent job at it, she was able to finish most of hers and Han Seo-jun's homework. Part of the deal was for her to do his school work. They had made a pinky promise on it and those were sacred to her so she couldn't back down—and there was also the nagging thought of Seo-jun messing everything up by revealing the truth once he got tired of their little act.

Ji-an hadn't realized that she had been blankly staring at her math homework for a while now while she got lost in thoughts, Lee Su-ho on the other hand did. He had placed the act as though he was completely immerse in his work but in reality he had finished a while ago and had been stealing glances to the girl beside him. Just like Ji-an he found it hard to concentrate which was an unusual occurrence for him. He was Lee Su-ho, the smartest student in the whole school. Nothing could make him lose his composure regarding his academic work.

Except Ji-an.

The sweet scent of her perfume had invaded his senses the second she had seated beside him. The smell wasn't strong just barely lingering in the air but he could still have recognized it from miles away. It was a Versace perfume he had gifted her a few years ago for her birthday. He knew it had to belong to her the second he smelled it years ago and even now she still used it. He didn't know what that meant and also don't want to indulge in those thoughts anymore than he was already doing.

Kim Ji-an hadn't changed at all. The same expressions took over her features when she was concentrated. Her long hair fell over her dark eyebrows as they slowly furrowed. An almost no visible pout formed on her lips once she began having trouble with something. He could hear the sound of her leg moving side to side, the movement never ceasing. She always had found it hard to stay still, needing to constantly move one of her limbs to feel at ease.

"Do you still struggle with math?" Su-ho found himself asking, his voice loud enough just for the girl beside him to hear and grab her attention.

Ji-an perked up at the sound of his voice turning to her left to stare back at him, remembering the last encounter they had. He had asked what type of coffee she liked and for some reason ignoring the circumstances of their previous interaction, she had answered. Just the same way she did now, but this time slightly embarrassed and avoiding eye contact. "Yes."

Letting out a sigh, Su-ho looked at his now finished paper. He was already done with everything and it was clear to him Ji-an was in need of help. Although their relationship at the moment was rocky he couldn't allow himself to watch her struggle knowing he could help. Besides he knew Ji-an had grown used to the way he explained stuff given he has been her tutor for as long as they have known each other so having someone else explain in a way she wasn't used to might not work for her.

Or so he said to himself.

After a seconds of internal debate Su-ho hesitantly spoke, "Do you want me to help you?"

The Kim girl turned to him with wide eyes obviously not expecting that offer. As much as it hurt her pride Ji-an did need help. This was the reason why she was always in the third ranking and not second. All of her grades had high scores except math. Ever since she was younger, that had been her weak spot which always left Su-ho to teach her what she needed extra help with.

While she was taking online school, it was a lot easier to cheat and get a passing score on the course but now being back to a normal school program took her back to square one. Only difference was this time Su-ho wasn't at her disposition—or at least that's what she thought.

It was hard to keep her voice steady under the pressure of her heart painfully beating in her chest. "You're willing to help me?"

"Yes." His voice was soft only meant for her without an ounce of doubt. The two made eye contact both taking their time to admire the other without the strong tension that had been before in their previous encounters. It was still there but slightly different. More comfortable if that's what you could call it.

Su-ho's black hair covered his forehead and it made Ji-an want to reach forward and push his hair to the side. He always had looked good with his forehead showing. It allowed her to have a nice view of his face, to see his features and the emotions swimming in his eyes properly. Right about now even when he tried to pretend he let himself slip, portraying vulnerability in his eyes.

Ji-an barely blinked scared if she did his cold demeanor would be back but it didn't and so she took pride in it. To finally pull something other than anger or annoyance out of him. It was almost like seeing the old Su-ho in front of her. Her childhood best friend, her crush, her boyfriend.

She didn't speak only nodding her head as a response and allowed the boy to lean closer to her to take a better look at her paper. Ji-an's breath hitched in her throat at the sudden proximity, her eyes never leaving Su-ho's face. She took this time to admire him—really admire him after not having seen him for ten months. His side profile. His perfectly sculpted jawline and the sharp of his nose and the way his smooth skin shined underneath the warm lighting of the room. Ji-an had always wondered how she had been able to pull a guy like him. Smart, caring, loving, and to top it all off he was one of the prettiest boy's she had laid eyes on.

Just as if it had been yesterday she could remember that feeling, the beating of her heartbeat, the overwhelming feeling taking over her mind and body when she looked into his eyes. The sensation of her heart jumping on her chest from the words uttered from his lips, his mouth.

Do you want to be my girlfriend?

The girl had been over the moon. Happiness not good enough of a word to describe how she had felt that night. Her best friend, her long time crush liked her back, and not only that but he liked her enough to ask her to be his girlfriend.

Years later, now the two sat beside each other their relationship no longer being the way it used to be. Perhaps it won't ever be the same, perhaps it was a thing meant to be left in the past, perhaps everything—the act, the lies of a nonexistent relationship with Han Seo-jun won't change anything, but anyone could see it, including their friends sitting around them. See it in their eyes, the longing, the vulnerability, the regret coursing deep inside their veins like an incurable poison that slowly but steadily killed them inside.

See that sooner or later those emotions that only swam in their eyes would burst through like a raging tsunami. Pushing away everything in its path with the possibility of only leaving an idea of what was left behind, a broken shell, or on a better outcome just leaving the calm after the storm, letting the sun shine once again.

Either Su-ho didn't noticed she was staring at him or maybe he just pretended not to as he took his notebook and opened it on a random page, writing on it as he began explaining. He made sure to talk in a slow pace knowing that was the way Ji-an understands better and won't feel overwhelmed.

"When N goes to infinity, it becomes N over N squared, which makes it 1/N, so the limit value is zero. In contrast, if it is N squared over N, the value will be N, which means it would go to infinity."

Su-ho looked at Ji-an to find her already staring at him deep in thought, biting the inside of her cheek something she did when she had something in mind. "What?"

The girl shook her head keeping the eye contact as she spoke, her voice dripping with sincerity and warmth it made Su-ho's heartbeat increase knowing it was directed towards him. "Thank you."

A frown formed on Su-ho's face. "You can thank me once you're sure you understand everything."

"Why? If you're the one explaining I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon." She said oblivious to the way her words affected the boy beside her. "I mean, right now I still think N over N squared is just the same as N squared over N but yeah."

"But it's not, look." Su-ho wrote the problem in a different way trying to get the girl to understand both in their own little bubble basking in whatever time they could spend together without their complicated feelings interfering.

Unknown to the couple, everyone had been watching the whole interaction with curious eyes specially, Jug-yeong. She felt her heart break a little seeing how gentle Su-ho was being with Ji-an. How softly he spoke and looked at her, like she was a rose and the sharpest movement would cause her petals to fall. It was totally different to how he had treated her when she had asked for help. He had even mocked her a little when she asked what his IQ was and kept telling her to focus. However with Ji-an it was as if he had all the time in the world even when she made it clear she wasn't understanding what he was saying.

↶*ೃ✧˚. ❃ ↷

Bright neon lights shined in circular motion, rotating around the karaoke room. Ji-an's hand was tightly wrapped around the mic and the singing and jumping had caused her hands to become clammy but through her adrenaline she ignored it as she danced around with Soo-ah, Soo-jin, Jug-yeong, and Tae-hoon.

Giggles slipped from their lips not really minding their lack of singing skills and just caring about enjoying the moment. It wasn't often they got to have fun in after school hours, specially Ji-an. With all the current drama going on at the moment, her home situation, and stressing about the modeling casting she'll be having soon the girl hadn't had time to enjoy herself.

Her swift movements were followed by her long silky hair moving around gracefully and smoothly as if she was in some sort of hair commercial. Kim Ji-an was highly aware of the singular pair of eyes on her and she made sure every once in a while to make eye contact with Lee Su-ho. It had been a shock to the group when the boy had agreed on joining their little activity. Of course, even if he was there he didn't participate in any of their singing or dancing. He was just sitting there—observing just like he always did.

Lee Su-ho had never been the type to care about his surroundings or pay attention to the little details, he just lived life like any other teenager would.

Like any normal teenager with a good life would.

But he wasn't a normal teenager anymore or maybe he never had been at least not since the moment he witnessed his father having an affair with another woman while his mother laid in a hospital bed slowly dying—but he liked to pretend he was. It gave him a feeling of control. Despite his handsome looks and his popularity around school, that was just some outside shell—a facade he had always used.

Grief. Something that not many can explain with words. It's a feeling, a painful one that doesn't take over your life until you've lost something that you won't ever regain back. Grief. It was mocking and heartless. It comes like a sneaker wave, it crashes into you hard and unexpectedly taking everything away from you, your breath, your stability. It sends you into panic, into a rabbit hole dug so deep you don't see a way out. No light. No peace. No escape.

That's how it had been for Lee Su-ho.

Se-yeon's death had left a rabbit hole in his heart. It made him question the meaning of life, many why's and what if's constantly floating in his mind.

It made him see everything in a different light. Stuff he wouldn't give much of a thought before now meant more than he ever thought it would. Being able to wake up, see the sun, and enjoy the breeze. Stuff that some would take for granted meant a lot to him now.

He might not be present in body but in mind—oh in mind he always was.

Maybe that's what death does to a person. Loving someone so dearly for them to get ripped apart from you without a second thought. It makes you want to reverse time to enjoy all those moments you spent with that person wishing that you had appreciated it more. Wishing you hadn't taken it for granted, wishing to say so many things you thought but never spoke outloud, wishing to stay silent to relish in the moment and in the feeling of being with that person.

When grief crashed a second time into Su-ho's life, this time he welcomed it. Not only allowing for it to take everything but also allowing it to take control over his life, over his every thought. He pushed Ji-an away because of grief, because he was scared that because of him that dreading feeling would come crashing again to take the little remaining happiness in his life.

"Our best friend is dead because of you! What makes you think you won't end up killing Ji-an too?!"

They were just words spoken in the heat of the moment. Han Seo-jun didn't meant it he had been consumed by pain and grief. Deep down Su-ho knew but he had welcomed grief and he wanted to keep feeling that pain because if there was one thing he truly believed was that Se-yeon's death had been his fault and so he choose to believe Han Seo-jun meant what he said. To believe that Kim Ji-an would never find happiness beside him that he'll only bring pain and death into her life.

Which is why he tried. He tried so hard to not let her presence affect him. It had been easy enough when she was away but he had allowed himself to slip and had maintained contact with her for a few months. Thought when he realized what he was doing he stopped. Then Jug-yeong came and he thought that maybe he'll be able to move on but of course Ji-an returned and something that he made himself believe to be easy became more difficult.

It hurt him so much. That day, the look on her face and the tears in her eyes when he left her to go help Jug-yeong. He wanted to stay with Ji-an, he wanted to help and comfort her, but the look on her face when she had seen him, it hurt him. He had seen it before. The sparkle in her eyes, the softness in her stare, the love. He couldn't do it. He wanted Ji-an to hate him. Hate him as much as he hated himself.

Here she was sitting beside him looking as pretty as ever even with a thin layer of sweat covering her skin. He found it impossible to remove his eyes from her figure for more than a few seconds because of how breathtaking she was. He had always been taken back by her beauty. Even since they were kids her sweet nature drew him in.

Involuntarily his eyes had trailed off to her exposed legs the short skirt the school uniform provided doing nothing to cover her skin. It wasn't like he hadn't seen her legs before so he shouldn't be making it weird but he hadn't seen her in so long and her presence was intoxicating. Grabbing a throw pillow that had been laying around, he placed it on her lap, ignoring the confused look the girl send him.

↶*ೃ✧˚. ❃ ↷

After a while Kim Ji-an grew tired so she left the room to go the bathroom. The girl hated feeling dirty and her skin had grown sticky from sweating so the least she could do was rinse her face with some water. In her way back Ji-an froze mid step. Her eyebrows furrowed in disbelief at what she was hearing and without much thought she followed the sound until she stood in front of the door of one of the karaoke rooms. She would've assumed she was hallucinating maybe blame it on being tired but she could recognize that voice anywhere. She had listened to its soft tone plenty of times.

The longer she listened the more it clicked in her mind that the voice she was hearing was Han Seo-jun's and the touching lyrics that were falling from his lips were the ones belonging to Se-yeong's song. Kim Ji-an darted out of the hallway passing by the room her friends were currently in and making her way out of the building.

She could still remember the first time she heard it. She could still remember the excitement and the pride in both Seo-jun and Se-yeong after creating the song. Ji-an remembered how touched she had been by its lyrics and she had expressed how good it was and how happy she was by their creation.

If only she could feel the same way now as she listens to Seo-jun sing. All that happiness was gone only replaced by this suffocating feeling taking over her body. The girl wasn't sure what was affecting her more—the song or hearing Seo-jun singing after many years. She had always loved his voice, its steady tone, and soft pronunciation. The words always spilled out of his mouth like sweet honey pulling you in by its sweet melody. Before it was a frequent occurrence for Ji-an to beg Seo-jun to sing to her specially in those late night calls where she couldn't sleep and the only thing that managed
to relax her was his voice.

She felt like she had just received a punch to her gut. The cool air of the night did little to calm her down and she tried taking deep breaths to help slow down her heartbeat. She blinked away the tears that had formed in her eyes feeling stupid for her reaction. She couldn't let her friends see her like this and specially not in front of Su-ho.

But it seemed the world wasn't on her side because when she turned around she collided with someone.

"Ji-an? What are you doing here?"

Meeting eyes with Han Seo-jun the girl cleared her throat and silently prayed that the lights outside weren't bright enough to show she had been close to crying.

How the hell did he get down so fast?

"What are you doing here?" The girl returned the question making the tall boy raise an skeptical eyebrow. If Seo-jun noticed her disheveled appearance he didn't mention it which she was thankful for. Instead he ignored her question and turned his gaze away from her and to something behind her.

"Were you doing something to my motorcycle?"

Confused, Ji-an turned around noticing moments ago she had been standing rather close to the boy's precious vehicle. In her close to be breakdown she had failed to notice the parked motorcycle. It wouldn't have changed anything anyways. She already knew Seo-jun was there but he didn't need to know that.

"Oh, that?" She turned back around forging innocence. If she messed around with him maybe he won't bring up her obvious distress. "I gave it a little scratch but nothing to worry about."

"You what?!" His eyes widened comically and he moved to inspect the motorcycle as best as he could under the poor lightening of the street signs. Once he saw there was no imperfections on the black paint he looked at Ji-an with an expression of mild annoyance but relief. "Was your intention to give me a heart attack?"

"If it means, I won't have to deal with you then, yes absolutely."

Seo-jun scoffed, "Says the one that keeps following me."

Ji-an opened her mouth to retort back but her eyes fell behind Seo-jun, to the big glass windows of the small convence store giving view to the people inside and to Lee Su-ho who was currently looking through the items displayed on the shelves. Another day Ji-an would've been more than happy about the timing but today she felt too drained to deal with any drama. She knew how escalated things could get between Seo-jun and Su-ho and right now her top list of priorities was not getting stuck in the middle of it.

The girl tried to make herself believe it was just because of how tired she was but in reality she knew it had to do something with hearing Seo-jun singing. It also had to do with the fact that since she came back to Seoul, today it had been the first time she had been able to hold a proper conversation with Su-ho without one of them having an outburst. In fact, dared her to say back there at the study session, under that dimly lighted lap, she could've sworn she saw that old sparkle ignite in his eyes even if it was for just a second.

Acting faster than her mind could keep up with, she grabbed Seo-jun's arm and dragged him away from the view of the convence store and to a more reserved place away from prying eyes or to be more specific, an alleyway.

"What are you doing?" Seo-jun removed his arm from her grasp turning to look at her as if she grew two heads.

Ji-an shook her head, running a hand through her hair. "I just don't want-"

"Hey! Han Seo-jun!"

An unknown voice interrupted making Ji-an frown as she tried to look over Seo-jun's tall frame which had immediately turned around to face the person who had spoken and in the process also covering her from their view or at least trying to.

A sound of anger and frustration left Seo-jun. "Why are you coming out from there?"

"What do you mean?" The same voice spoke and finally Ji-an was able to take a look over Seo-jun's shoulder and her heart dropped when she saw not only one but a whole group of boys approaching them, all with a slyly smile on their faces as if they had won some sort of price by finding them there.

"Oh, what is this? Why did you bring a girl to this inconspicuous place?" The same guy who spoke before said, and Ji-an squirmed a little on her place when she felt his eyes shift in her direction. The girl could only assume he was the leader of the group and by how tense Seo-jun had gotten they were definitely bad news.

"Not that it's any of your business but I was the one that dragged him here." Ji-an responded, causing Seo-jun to briefly look over his shoulder to send her a stern look, his voice low for only her to hear.

"Not right now." While turning to face the unknown guy again Seo-jun with his arm pushed Ji-an back, trying to keep her as far away as possible but still close enough to know she was there, even if he was really wishing she wasn't. "You should hurry and go."

Seo-jun addressed Ji-an but never once removed his gaze from the leader of the group, the hand that wasn't pushing her back kept continuously folding and unfolding into a fist. Ji-an wasn't stupid she knew something must have gotten down between them for Seo-jun to be acting the way he was. She rank her brain going through all the possible outcomes of the situation and all of them ended with Seo-jun getting beaten up by whoever those guys were.

It wasn't that Ji-an didn't believe in Seo-jun's fighting skills but the chances of one guy winning against a group of five was very unlikely unless you were a very skilled fighter, and even then there was still the possibility of losing.

The only way to try and avoid that outcome was to run away and hope to not be caught by them, so that's exactly what she did. Grabbing Seo-jun's already outstretched hand, she pulled him with her yet again leaving Seo-jun no choice but to follow her as the two started running, with the group of guys following close behind.

"Grab them! Grab them!"

The couple darted across the streets, the sound of their steps and the shouts of the other guys grabbing the attention of the people outside and inside the convenience store which included Su-ho. At first he was confused over the sudden commotion but once he recognized who were the figures getting chased he impulsively followed after them.

Han Seo-jun readjusted his grip on Ji-an's hand taking a look behind them to see the group trying to catch up to them and immediately took the lead as he now was the one guiding Ji-an. Seo-jun led them through the busy streets doing his best to dodge the people who were walking by. Ji-an's legs felt like they were on fire but she pushed through and she made a mental note to start exercising more often.

The two kept running, Seo-jun taking them through the alleyways in an attempt to make it easier to escape from the guys. The longer they ran the farther away they got from the others and the darker the alleyways got. Turning a corner, Seo-jun intentionally dropped some storage containers that were stacked against a wall and quickly lead him and Ji-an in the opposite direction. Both went up the stairs of an abandoned building and crouch down behind a railing where some plastic items blocked the view from the street they had just come from making it the perfect place to hide.

Seo-jun had his hand on top of Ji-an's head, trying to make her as small as possible giving the fact the amount of space was very limited. They stayed in that same position until they heard the group's footsteps and shouts fade away, meaning Seo-jun's strategy had worked.

Slowly, they came out of their hiding spot after making sure the coast was clear. Kim Ji-an let out a sigh of relief and patted Seo-jun on the back. "I'll give it to you that was probably the smartest thing you've done."

Ignoring the girl's comment, Seo-jun rolled his eyes. "I told you to go. Why did you drag me along? What do you think those jerks would think?"

Now it was Ji-an's time to roll her eyes as she turned to look at the boy with raised eyebrows. "Why should I care about what they think?"

"If you run like that, it looks fishy to anyone." He said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world as he started to walk away. "You're so stupid."

Ji-an quickly followed after him, grabbing his arm to stop him from walking any further and if looks could kill Seo-jun would've already been six feet underground. "I saved you. Stupid? The only one stupid here is you. What the hell did you do to make those guys so angry?"

Seo-jun removed his arm from her grasp. "It's none of your business. Now let's go before they find us again."

This time Ji-an didn't argue knowing he was right. When the girl arrived back at the karaoke place her friends were nowhere to be found. Her phone was dead and her friends had taken her backpack so she had no money. Letting out a cry of frustration, Ji-an walked out of the building but luckily for her Seo-jun still hadn't left so without a word she took the extra helmet he had making the boy bring up the shade of his helmet to stare at her confused.

"The hell are you doing?"

"My friends left me and they took my backpack so I have no money. Which means you're taking me home."

"And why should I?"

"After what you made me go through I'll say you owe me one, so this is not a matter of discussion. You're taking me home." Putting on the helmet, Ji-an took a seat behind Seo-jun and tightly wrapped her arms around his waist. "Come on, stop staring."

Letting out a sigh, Seo-jun started the engine. "Fine, whatever you say sweetheart."

↶*ೃ✧˚. ❃ ↷

When Han Seo-jun's motorcycle stopped in front of the gates to Kim Ji-an's house the least thing she expected to see was Lee Su-ho's figure right outside. Turning off the engine the two took out the helmets and got out off the motorcycle. Ji-an ran a hand through her hair trying to smooth it out as best as she could while she ranked her brain trying to think of how this could end. She had gone through all that trouble to not make them end up confronting each other and it had been for nothing.

"What are you doing here, Lee Su-ho?" The girl asked, taking notice of the small cut on the boy's lower lip.

Did he got into a fight?

For a second, Su-ho didn't say anything as he looked between her and Seo-jun. His eyes unreadable. After a moment he made eye contact with Ji-an. "I just wanted to make sure you got home safe."

Ji-an's mouth parted in surprise clearly not expecting that but before she could say anything a scoff came from beside her as Seo-jun responded, "So, now you care?"

"Han Seo-jun!" Ji-an muttered glaring at the boy who seemed to pay no attention to her as he kept his eyes on Su-ho who was now doing the same.

"She was safe. She was with me." Seo-jun added.

Su-ho narrowed his eyes. "Now, was she?" He had seen them running away from those guys and Lee Su-ho didn't need to be a genius to know it had something to do with Han Seo-jun's antics. The leader had been very adamant on wanting him to call Seo-jun. Tonight could have went a lot differently and the thought of Ji-an getting hurt was unbearable for Su-ho.

"I'm her boyfriend. So, yes she was safe with me." A smug look took over Seo-jun's face when he saw Su-ho clench his jaw knowing he had hit a nerve.

"Are you really? Because I'm not stupid. I don't believe the whole story about the two of you suddenly being a couple." Su-ho said, and Ji-an tried her best to not look nervous. Obviously Su-ho was right but she could see the small glimmer of doubt in his eyes. She couldn't give away the fact he was right.

"You really don't believe us?" Ji-an asked with her brows raised.

"No."

"Fine. If you don't believe us then I'll prove it to you." It was like an unknown force had taken over her body and before any of them knew it she took Han Seo-jun's cheek in her hand to make him turn to her and going up on her tippy toes she leaned forward pressing her lips against his in a kiss.

Well well well, look who's back 😝

6.1k words. You guys deserve it. If you see some misspellings is because I didn't prof read the whole chapter. Sorry about that.

It's been a while so I have A LOT to say. PLEASE READ EVERYTHING. 😫

First of all, I want to thank you all for the 29k views on the book. Seriously i appreciate it so much, I never would've thought people would be interested in my writing. I still remember when I had just started and It's already been a year 😭

I want to clear out that Kim Ji-an is THE MAIN CHARACTER in this story. Which means everything would be focused on her so Lim Jug-yeong? Who is that??

I want this book to feel like—yeah you're reading a True Beauty ff but at the same time getting a whole different vibe and perspective. I'm not creating an oc just for her to be a side character who's sad because the boys prefer Jug-yeong no no no. That's not happening here. I already said something similar when I started the book but I just wanted to clear it out again.

Also now looking at the previous chapters and actually thinking about what I want to do with the book I've decided to change stuff that I had previously planned. So some things you saw on the trailer would not happen on the story now.

NOWWW LETS TALK ABOUT SOME SERIOUS STUFF— 🌝

HEAR. ME. OUT. 🧏‍♀️

I've been thinking yk about the possibility of once I'm done with this book maybe do a few AU chapters where Ji-an ends up with Su-ho? Idk it all depends on you guys. Someone mentioned it once and when I started writing this chapter I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Now, you might be like meh but once you see what I have in store for the story I think most of you are going to want that AU heheh.

I'm talking too much so BYEEEE

I WONT LEAVE YOU WAITING TOO MUCH ON THAT CLIFFHANGER I PROMISE—
