The three were back at the TVA, leaving where they were to hurry to a door, then out and to the desk room where the infinity stones were.

"Doomsdays. The variant's been ambushing our soldiers and hiding out in doomsdays to cover his tracks." Mobius said as he walked to one of the desks.

"Or their."
"You're welcome."

Wanda spoke a touch before Loki, but Loki still spoke over her cause he could.

"Yeah." Mobius said.

To which one he was replying too, neither knew.

"But in order for this theory to hold, the disasters have to be naturally-occuring, sudden, no warning, no survivors." Mobius continued.

He grabbed a file off of one of the tables then started out another exit, the variants following closely behind.

"How many disasters could there be?" Wanda asked.

"I don't know. We're gonna find out."

They went to the library and all sat down, picking up the variant files and reading through them to figure out where they could go next, or where they were now.

"How long have we been here?" Loki asked after a few minutes of them researching.

"Dunno. Time works oddly here." Mobius replied.

"It'd be easier to know if I had my magic but I'd say 26 or so hours in Earth years. Rounded at least." Wanda said.

"Great, well every god needs his beauty sleep." Loki said.

"We don't have any special beds for you- okay."

Mobius stopped as Loki set his arms crossed on the table and laid his head on his arms, soon drifting off to sleep on top of multiple files.

Wanda watched him, confused as to how he fell asleep so easily.

"So do the TVA soldiers ever sleep?" Wanda asked.

"No. This is a twenty four hour job. Besides, we were made to not need sleep." Mobius replied.

"Odd." Wanda nodded.

"Are you not tired?" Mobius asked.

"No. I've gone longer without sleep. I once didn't sleep for a week when I was ten." Wanda chuckled.

"So I saw." Mobius replied.

"What do you mean?"

"Well I haven't looked at the majority of your life but I did see the tragedies and your reactions to them. I've scanned Loki's past more, I will admit. Both of you have some pretty messed up lives." Mobius explained while looking at a file.

"So do the TVA soldiers really have no say over what could happen to the timeline? Everything that has happened to me was supposed to happen exactly how it happened? Nothing could've been changed?" Wanda asked.

"Yeah. And that's how it always will be." Mobius shrugged.

He gave a small sigh as he saw nothing in his file.

"This isn't going as planned." He shut the file folder and tapped Loki with it.

Loki looked up, a bit confused and a tad annoyed.

"Come on, let's take a walk." Mobius said.

Loki got up and Wanda stood as well, both following Mobius as he began walking.

Mobius led them to the cafeteria where they'd been before, although this time there were much less people as it wasn't lunchtime anymore.

Mobius and Loki had switched places from last time, Mobius on the left, Loki on the right, but Wanda still was in the middle.

"Find anything?" Loki asked as they sat.

"Not yet." Mobius replied.

"We looked, came up pretty empty handed." Wanda frowned.

"By the way, at your desk, that magazine?" Loki started, turning from Wanda to Mobius.

"Yeah. The one on jet skis?"

"Yes. Why do you have that?"

"Because they're awesome." Mobius replied.

Loki chuckled. "I suppose they are."

"Yeah. You know, some things.. Actually, most things in history are kinda dumb, and everything gets ruined eventually. But in the early 1990s, for a brief, shining moment, there was a beautiful union of form and function. Which we call the jet ski, and a reasonable man cannot differ." Mobius stated.

Wanda smiled, definitely agreeing on how most things in history were dumb.

"You ever been on one?" Loki asked.

"No.. No. I think a TVA agent showing up on a jet ski on the Sacred Timeline, that would create a branch for sure." Mobius said with a sad frown.

"It'd be fun though." Loki replied with a smile.

"Yeah, it'd be really fun."

"So, why read about them?"

"Just helps remind me what we're fighting for."

"Kids who can ride on jet skis?" Wanda asked.

"Exactly."

Loki scoffed.

"I mean, you really believe in all this stuff, don't you?" He asked.

"I don't get hung up on, 'Believe, not believe.' I just accept what is." Mobius replied.

"Three magic lizards,"

"Time Keepers."

"Created the TVA, and everyone in it,"

"Right."

"Including you?"

"Including me."

"You see, every time I start to admire your intelligence, you say something like that."

"Okay, who created you, Loki?" Mobius asked.

"A frost giant of Jotunheim." Loki stated.

"You're a frost giant?" Wanda asked.

"And who raised you?" Mobius continued.

"Odin of Asgard." Loki replied.

"No wonder you're so tall." Wanda mumbled.

"You're just short."

"Odin, God of the Heavens. Asgard, mystical realm, beyond the stars." Mobius stated. "Frost giants. Listen to yourself."

"It's not the same. It's completely different. It's not the same." Loki cut in.

"No no no no no no uh actually it's exactly the same thing." Mobius said over Loki. "Because if you think too hard about where any of us came from, who we truly are, it sounds kinda ridiculous. Existence is chaos. I mean Wanda here was just born on Earth or Midgard as you call it, what do you believe." He turned to Wanda.

"Uh." Wanda was caught off guard with him suddenly addressing her. "I believe in lots of things, I'm sure there's an element of realness to this, same with Loki's world but I'm sure there are other elements that are fake and made up. A lot of it doesn't really make sense to me though." She said.

"Exactly, nothing makes any sense, so we try to make some sense of it. And I'm just lucky that the chaos I emerged into gave me all this. My own glorious purpose."

Loki scoffed again.

"Cause the TVA is my life. And it's real because I believe it's real." Mobius finished.

Wanda turned her head to Loki since she figured it was his turn to give a small speech.

"Fair enough. You believe it's real." Loki started.

"Yeah."

"So everything is written. Past, present, future. There's no such thing as free will."

"Well, I, I mean, you know, it's an oversimplification." Mobius studdered a touch.

"So, in fact, in a way, you, Wanda, and I, here at the TVA, we're the only ones who are actually free."

"Where are you going with this, Loki?"

"How does it all end?" Loki asked to finish his series of comments.

"That's a work in progress."

"Oh, those lazy Time Keepers. What are they waiting for?"

"Au Contraire. No. Because while we protect what came before, they're toiling away in their chamber, untangling the epilogue from it's infinite branches."

"Ah. I see. So, when they're finished, what happens then?"

"So are we. No more Nexus events. Just order. And we meet in peace at the end of time. Nice, right?"

Wanda decided to start talking again after Mobius finished.

"So your whole thing is order and structure?"

"Yeah."

"Chaos isn't to be allowed?"

"No it is not."

"Hm."

"What?"

"Just an interesting thought. Nothing more."

Wanda smiled and Loki began again.

"No chaos? It sounds boring." He said, glancing to Wanda.

"I'm sure it does to you, both of you."

"You know called me a scared little boy."

"I called you a lotta things."

"You did." Loki nodded. "You're wrong, though. You see, I know something children don't."

"What's that?" Mobius asked.

"The birds and the bees." Wanda mumbled.

Both men glanced at her and she turned her head slightly away so she wasn't looking at either.

"Sorry I couldn't help myself."

"No. I know that no one bad is ever truly bad. And no one good is ever truly good."

"Scared little boy." Mobius commented.

"Yes, it was quite patronizing. I thought it was a bit too far, actually."

Mobius didn't say anything, only staring at the floor between Loki and Wanda as a look of realization came to him.

"You're very clever." He said before getting up and starting away.

Wanda got up as well and turned to Loki.

"I know." Loki replied to Mobius who was now multiple yards away.

"Don't let it get to your head." Wanda said in reply to his reply.

Loki got up and the two hurried after Mobius who was back in the library section.

"The variant left something behind at an old crime scene. A cathedral. A candy box. An obvious anachronism. I gave it to Analysis, but they couldn't find anything real." Mobius said.

He stopped at a bookshelf and began unlocking one of the cases in the shelf.

"Why does that matter?" Loki asked.

"Cause now we have two variables. Apocalyptic natural disasters and...."

He opened the case and pulled out a small thing that said KABLOOIE; Blooberrie   Artificially flavored chewing gum.

"Kablooie." Mobius finished his sentence.

"What's that?" Loki asked.

"Candy. Do you have candy on Asgard?"

"Yeah. Grapes, nuts." Loki replied.

"No wonder you're so bitter." Mobius said.

Wanda looked at Loki with a bit of shock.

"I know where we're going once this variant is taken care of." She said.

Mobius went back to the desk where they were before and set new files on top of the old ones.

"Okay. Kablooie was only sold regionally on Earth from 2047 to 2051. All you gotta do is cross reference that with every apocalyptic event."

"Hmm. Makes sense why I didn't recognize it." Wanda shrugged.

"I'll give each of you a third. Let's have a competition, see who finds it."

"Sure." Loki nodded.

"You wanna bet something?" Mobius asked.

"Yeah." Loki shrugged.

"Gentleman's and one lady's bet. Let's play for pride. Okay. May the best man or woman win. Go."

He handed both a stack and sat down, which both did as well in a synchronized motion.

"Anything?" Mobius asked after a few moments.

"Uhhh." Loki didn't have a reply.

Wanda didn't say anything as she scanned through the papers.

"Probably not the climate disaster in 2048." She found.

"Doubt it's the tsunami of 2051." Loki added.

"Let's go, let's go, come on." Mobius encouraged.

"2050... The extinction of the swallow.. Is that a thing?" Loki asked.

"Completely screwed up the ecosystem." Mobius replied.

"2047. 2049." Wanda mumbled as she looked at the papers.

"Krakatoa erupted in 2049 as well, huh. No kablooie." Loki said.

"God it's just one damn thing after another, isn't it." Mobius scoffed. "Cyclone, famine, volcanoes, floods.."

"Hey I think I found them." Wanda said.

She flipped over a file, showing a class ten apocalypse in Alabama where the town Haven Hills was wiped out by a hurricane.

"I win." She smirked.

"Alabama, 2050." Mobius confirmed. He looked up at her. "You're gonna take my job if I'm not careful."

Wanda smiled at the compliment.

"Okay come on." He instructed.

The three went to where Mobius had been before with the couches and the fancy doorway. The variant's had learned that this was a office for the judge girl. Apparently Mobius worked under her.

Wanda and Loki sat down on the couchs like last time and Mobius went inside.

"Do you think she'll let us do this?" Loki asked.

"I don't see why she wouldn't." Wanda replied.

"True. This is a full proof plan."

"I know! It makes perfect sense, plus she should be glad we at least are close."

"And I was the one who found a hole in their security. She should be thanking me."

"I agree. And I found the location so she should be thanking me too."

"And we are totally thankable people."

"Absolutely."

Mobius opened the office door and both Wanda and Loki turned to him to see what he would say.

"We're on."

Loki and Wanda grinned as Mobius brought them away.

"We are doing some good work today." He said as he led them to a room where some soldiers were already getting ready.

"I thought so too." Loki nodded.

"We're going great." Wanda agreed.

"I'm tellin' you, you actually help us catch this variant, and who, knows my friends." Mobius said.

Mobius went to a locker and opened it, putting his jacket in it and pulling out a different one.

"What, good enough for a face-to-face with the Time Keepers?" Loki asked with a smile.

"I didn't say that. One step at a time."

"All right. One step at a time."

"Speaking of steps, how many did it take for the judge woman to get to where she is?" Wanda asked.

"I dunno. You'll have to ask her. And her name is Ravonna." Mobius replied.

Mobius pulled out two daggers and handed them to Loki.

"Just in case." He said.

Loki took them with happiness filling him, very glad he was reunited with his amazing babies.

"Oh these feel absolutely-"

B-15 grabbed the daggers out of his hands, showing up out of nowhere.

"Absolutely not." She stated.

She opened a different locker and put the daggers inside while Loki gave a sad puppy face. Wanda patted his shoulder.

"Gather around for a briefing." B-15 called.

Mobius, Loki, Wanda, and the rest of the soldiers all gathered into a circle.

"Roxxcart is a vast superstore common to the era. It consists of a series of sprawling sections, including a large warehouse." She began.

Mobius stood next to her and various soldiers stood around. Loki was across from her and Wanda was on his left.

"This warehouse is being used by civilians as a shelter tryin' to ride out the storm. Remember, this is a class ten apocalypse. While the variant shouldn't know we're coming, he could be hiding anywhere and should be considered hostile. So stay alert."

A few soldiers nodded as she spoke.

"Every time there is an attack, the variant steals a reset charge. He's planning something, we just don't know what. So keep an eye out for the missing charges, and if you see a Loki, prune it."

She looked at the Loki across from her.

"The bad Loki, preferably." He said before giving a smile.

Everyone looked at him, Mobius and Wanda the only ones giving him a small smile of encouragement.

"That's it. Any questions?" B-15 asked.

Wanda raised a hand.

"Yes?" She asked, very hesitant.

"Can I have a prune stick?"

B-15 looked at her, considering it for a moment.

"You don't need one. You'll have your magic."

"The variant will have magic too."

"Then you'll be evenly matched and can distract him while a guard prunes him for you."

"Ah." Wanda didn't seem satisfied.

"If that's it then let's go."

Then a soldier casted a portal to Alabama.
