MY sweaty hands hold onto the 6 case of pepsi's with greasy well done fries in the other hand. this was the classic order for the sturniolo household. especially with the band competition coming up in a week. i was here to cheer on my boys while they practice.

"your favorite is here!" i shout while entering the garage. not so much of a garage anymore, the boys completely renovated it into a little studio.

two couches we found with knitted blankets that we threw on top of them. they may or not smell like coffee masked with fe breeze on them. a little stage where they practice and perform, it wasn't the fanciest but we all loved it.

"fries and pepsi? my god, i am in heaven." chris exclaims, jumping off the platform and running towards me. i laugh at his excitement. nick and matt following behind him and reaching their arms in the mcdonalds bag.

"babe, you're the best." Jack said, coming from behind me and giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"no, really you are!" nick added, with his mouth full of french fries. the boys suddenly starting jump and down and cheering while they gulp down their pepsi and fries. they were so gross but I couldn't not laugh at this moment.

i loved that my boyfriend was good friends with my best friends. and they were all in a band together. chris was on guitar and lead singer, with matt on the drums, nick on bass, and jack guitar as well. they were extremely talented, and i always was their number one supporter.

"alright guys, we got to get back to practicing. finals is just a week away and we haven't even started our new song." chris shouted. i make my way to one of the fluffy couches and plop on it.

"yeah, a song that you haven't even written yet." jack snapped.

"oh i'm sorry. why don't you write all our songs? why don't you come up and sing for us, huh?" chris replied, with extreme attitude laced in his voice. jack put his hands up as a signal he didn't want to get into it with chris.

"your guys' dad should be home soon, no? we should finish up soon." jack said. the triplet's father despised their passion for music. he wanted them to go into the medical profession and follow his footsteps. however, they had no desire to do such a thing.

"yeah, you're right. let's do one more song and we are done for the day i guess." matt replied. they all got into their places and started to play one of my favorite songs of theirs. i began to sing along lightly while i move my head to the rhythm.

that night, chris and i went out and had a little picnic while the full moon was out. everyone went out to the bars on saturday and we weren't really interested.

"after you, m'lady" chris said, opening the gas station door for me. i did a little curtsy as we both giggled.

"what snacks you thinking?" i asked. chris and i acting like little kids going aisle to aisle scanning all the gas station food.

"shit, i can go for some gummy bears and cheetos not going to lie." he said, grabbing the bags. i nod in approval as we go to the cashier.

"let me get that gold pack, please." chris said pointing to the cigarettes on the shelf. the cashier grabbed them and put them on the counter.

chris immediately looked at me, knowing what i was about to say to him. "seriously chris? i thought you quit." i said, slapping his shoulder.

"hey hey, spitters are quitters." he replied. i looked at him in confusion, the cashier even joining me with the same facial expression.

"that.. literally doesn't make any sense." i laughed. he playfully rolled his eyes as he shrugged his shoulders at me. the cashier gave us the receipt and our bag and we walked out of the gas station.

"alright, snacks.. check. picnic blanket.. check. speaker.. check. and a beautiful full moon and a sky full of stars.. check." chris said, coming close to the steering wheel and staring up at the night sky.

we talk and sing along to music til we get to our usual spot. a big football field where you can perfectly see every star in the sky. we set up our blanket and lay down on our backs. of course chris quickly opens the bag of snacks and indulges.

"you excited for the finals?" i asked, as i reach my hand out for him to give me the bag of gummy bears.

"yeah, but-" he huffed, as he rubs his eyes.

"hm?" i mumbled, while nudging his chest.

"i hate that my dad doesn't approve of this. i hate that we have to go behind his back and play." he truthfully added. i hated seeing how the boys passion made the relationship with their dad crumble.

"i'm sorry, chris. i really am. if only he would see how talented you guys are, he would maybe understand." i said. he turned to look at me, cheeto dust visible on his chin as he gave me a warm smile. i laughed at him, rubbing it off his chin with my sleeve.

chris grabs his phone to change the song, the brightness on his phone at full capacity. his eyebrows suddenly furrow while pulling his phone closer to him.

"what?" i asked, confused by his suspicious actions. he looks up at me, his eyes widened. "what happened?!" i added.

"y/n.. i, uh don't think you want to see this." he replied. what could possibly be so bad that fucking chris is in utter shock and stuttering in front of me. i steal his phone from his hands and look at the screen. someone took a picture of jack kissing a random girl at the bar.

"y/n, i'm sorry. what a fucking asshole he is!" he said, trying to take his phone back from me. i know he didn't want me staring at the picture any longer. i sat in silence before i speak up. at this moment, anything pushed me over the edge.

"then why are you his fucking friend if he's such an asshole?!" i shouted, as i shove his phone towards his chest.

"what?! y/n, just because he is in the band doesn't mean i love the kid. you and me, we have been best friends way before he came in either of our lives!" he screamed. i don't know why i was lashing out on chris. he did nothing wrong, he was just trying to comfort me.

"shut up, seriously. just take me home chris." i demanded as i pull his hand off my back.

"whatever you want, y/n." he mumbled. we both stood up, it was a little awkward how quiet it was. chris folded the blanket and grabbed the speaker as we headed towards his car.

we made it to my house, chris parking in front. "i really am sorry. i didn't mean to ruin the night." he said. he turned the car off, no music as he stared into my eyes.

"i know, chris. i am the one who is sorry. you did nothing wrong. i just cant believe he cheated. and the worst part is i am going to have to see his face everyday." i truthfully replied.

"i am going to beat his ass tomorrow, don't you even worry." he said, making me laugh at how serious he sounded.

"goodnight chris." i said, as he comes to kiss the top of my head. i go to open the door and get out. i walk towards my front door as chris honks at me, rolling down his window.

"don't forget, party at ours tomorrow!" he shouted at me.

"i forgot, your parents go out of town tomorrow." i shouted back, he nodded his head as he evil laughed. i shook my head at how goofy this kid was, opening the front door after seeing chris drive away.

a party that i absolutely knew jack would be at. but, there is no way that would stop me from going.
