Aleta's slumber was interrupted by commotion and a loud voice. She opened her eyes and began looking around the room. Her eyes landed on Myles, whose eyes were wide open and staring blankly. Her own eyes widened and she scurried out of bed, falling to the floor with a loud bang. Murphy immediately turned to her direction, rifle raised and pointing at her.

She eyed the gun before looking the boy in the eyes. "John, what are you doing?" She slowly asked. She looked behind him to see Jasper, who was trying to remain calm. "I really wish you had stayed asleep, Aleta," John said before turning back to Jasper. "Give me the radio, Jasper," he demanded. Aleta stared wide eyed at the two, thoroughly confused by what was happening.

Jasper held out a hand and used his other to slowly take the radio out of his pocket. Aleta remained frozen on the dropship floor. Jasper quickly put the radio to his lips. "Murphy has a gun. He killed Myles," he exclaimed as fast as he could. Murphy hit Jasper with the rifle, knocking him to the floor. "Murphy, what the hell are you doing?" Aleta heard Bellamy's voice through the radio.

Murphy didn't reply and instead walked to the dropship's door and began closing it. Aleta got to her feet. "No! Stop!" She exclaimed. She grabbed his arm but he pushed her away. Aleta's side hit a metal table and she hissed in pain. She barely heard Bellamy yell Murphy's name before the door closed completely. Aleta glared at the boy before falling to the floor next to Jasper. "Are you okay?" She whispered and he nodded.

"Open the damn door!" Bellamy's muffled voice was heard. "You try to be a hero, Jasper and Aleta die!" John yelled back. Aleta looked at him, her eyes burning with anger. He looked over at her, "You really should've stayed asleep."

••••

A few hours had gone by and an annoyed Aleta sat on the floor next to Jasper whilst Murphy paced. Aleta and Jasper were both tied up but only Jasper was gagged. She watched John with a mixture of annoyance and boredom on her face. She didn't say anything to him, though. He was acting unstable and fully ready to use the rifle in his hands.

"Murphy! Murphy, if you even touch Aleta or Jasper, I swear to God, you're dead," Octavia's slightly muffled voice could be heard. Aleta looked over at the closed door and then back at Murphy who ignored Octavia all together. "I don't know what you think you're going to accomplish here, but what you're doing isn't very smart. Just open the door and let us go," Aleta finally spoke.

Murphy laughed bitterly, "Why? So your boyfriend can kill me? Not gonna happen." Aleta ignored the fact that he called Bellamy her boyfriend and spoke again. "Bellamy's not going to kill you. He's not that kind of person," she said. She wasn't sure she believed her own words seeing as the man was fully willing able to torture a man and threatened to kill him. But threatening to do something and actually doing it are two different things. He laughed again, "Well, you clearly don't know Bellamy." Aleta's eyes narrowed, "I know him better than you."

He turned to her, "Then you should know exactly what Mr. Perfect is capable of." The two had a silent stare down. "He tried to kill me before. The whole camp wanted me dead because they thought that I killed Wells. They tried to hang me. And do you want to know what your little boyfriend did?" Murphy said, his voice raising as he got closer to her. "He kicked the crate that was holding me up out from underneath me. The only thing keeping me from hanging to death. He watched me struggle for life and he did nothing. And do you know why he did it? Because it was what the people wanted," he concluded.

Murphy took a deep breath and moved away from her. He grabbed a tarp off of the ground and began placing it over Myles' body. The radio crackled to life and Bellamy could be heard through it. "Murphy, I know you can hear me. All our ammo and food is in the middle level. You know that. You're leaving us vulnerable to an attack. I can't let that happen," he said.

Murphy held the radio to his lips. "Yeah, well, in case you haven't noticed, you're not exactly in control right now," he replied back. "Come on, Murphy. You don't wanna hurt them. You want to hurt me. So what do you say? How about you trade them for me?" He said. Aleta's eyes narrowed. She wasn't even surprised that Bellamy would try to do something like that. He was always been an idiot. "All you have to do is let them go, and I'll take their place," Bellamy continued.

John turned to look at the two on the floor. Aleta's eyes burned into his and he lifted the radio to his lips. "How?" He asked. It was silent for a brief moment. "Simple. You open the door, I walk in, they walk out," Bellamy replied. Murphy looked at them again. "Two for one, that doesn't really seem like a fair deal, Bellamy," Murphy taunted. "That's the agreement. You let them go and you can have me," Bellamy replied almost instantly.

Murphy pulled the radio away from his mouth and looked at the two on the floor again. "What do you think? Should I take the deal?" He asked, somewhat rhetorically. "I think you're gonna burn in hell," she replied. "Ouch. You know, you really hurt my feelings, Aleta," he said jokingly. "Then I'm doing my job," she snapped back.

He walked over to her and crouched down in front of her. "You know, you can do so much better than Blake. He doesn't deserve someone like you," he said. His eyes roamed over her body and she squirmed uncomfortably. He reached a hand up to her face before retracting it quickly. "So much better," he muttered. He looked over to Jasper who was glaring at him before looking back to Aleta. "If you want, I can show you better," Murphy said.

The boy reached up to touch her again and she moved her face away from him. He looked her up and down again and she spat in his face. Murphy stumbled backward, a disgusted cry leaving his mouth. He wiped the spit from his face and moved close enough to her that she could see all of the imperfections of his face. He raised a hand to hit her before dropping it suddenly. Murphy pointed a finger at her, "You're lucky. I don't like to hit girls."

Murphy then stood up and walked over to the door. He pulled the lever and opened the door. "Just you, Bellamy, unarmed. Ten seconds or I'll put one in Jasper's leg and another in Aleta's abdomen," he yelled out. He turned back to Aleta. "I may not hit you, but I've got no problem shooting you," he said. Aleta looked at him in disgust. "You're twisted."

He shrugged before he began counting to ten. When he got to five was when Bellamy spoke. "I'm here." Aleta saw him walk into the dropship. His hands were raised and he walked cautiously. His eyes met Aleta's. "Are you okay?" He asked. "She's fine. But you won't be," Murphy answered.

He then hauled Jasper to his feet and walked to the dropship door, throwing him out of it. Murphy looked at Aleta, his head tilting to one side. "Hm, you know, I'm not sure if I wanna let this one go," he said. Aleta glared at him and he only smirked. Bellamy looked at him coldly, "We had a deal." Murphy glared at Bellamy before waking over to Aleta. He began untying her restraints. Once he was done, he gripped her arm tightly and pulled her off of the floor, walking her to the open door. Her eyes locked on Bellamy's and he gave her a reassuring nod.

Murphy turned Aleta to him. "Sorry," he muttered before turning her back around and pushing her out of the dropship. Aleta stumbled down the ramp and was caught by Octavia and Elijah. The two pulled her away from the dropship and the ramp raised until it closed completely, sealing the dropship off from everyone outside. Octavia hugged Aleta tightly before pulling away. "You okay?" She asked and Aleta nodded, her eyes moving back to the dropship.

"He's gonna kill Bellamy," she said. "No he won't. We have a plan," Elijah assured. "It better be a damn good one," Aleta muttered. The three watched the dropship from where they stood. A few minutes passed and they heard a gunshot from inside of it. Aleta snatched the radio from Octavia's hand, looked it over, and pressed, what she hoped, was the right button. "Bellamy?" She said into it. She waited, but heard nothing.

Octavia took the radio back. "Bellamy! Are you okay?" She said. Still nothing. Aleta felt as though she couldn't breathe. "Bellamy! Do you copy?" Octavia tried again. "I'm fine. Just a misfire. Now stop worrying about me and get back to work. All of you," came Bellamy's reply. Relief washed over both girls. "And tell Raven to hurry her ass up," he added. Aleta took the radio from Octavia's hand. "Murphy, if you hurt him, I will kill you. And you won't get away this time," she threatened. She got no reply.

••••

Aleta was growing anxious as time continued to go by. She began pacing back and forth. She now knew of the plan that Bellamy and Raven had set up. She wished that Raven would work a little faster. Another gunshot rang through the dropship and Aleta stopped pacing.

She strained her ears to hear something, anything. But all she heard was silence. More time went by and Jasper ran back to where the others stood. "Is she done?" Aleta asked him. "Almost," Jasper replied. Suddenly, a lot more gunshots were fired inside the dropship. Aleta's wide eyes were full of fear and confusion. When the dropship's door finally opened, she was relieved. "Raven, you did it," Jasper called.

They waited for the ramp to touch the ground before walking in. Jasper was the first one inside and once he was all the way in, he immediately ran further into it. Aleta was the next one in and what she saw almost froze her in her spot. Bellamy was hanging from one of the pipes on the dropship's ceiling, a rope made out of seatbelts around his neck. "Oh my God." She ran to the rope.

She immediately began untying it from where it was. Octavia was next to her in an instant, a knife in hand. "Bell, hold on," the younger girl said. Once the rope was cut, Bellamy dropped to the ground. Aleta was next to him in seconds, desperately trying to pull the rope away from his neck. "Breathe. Please breathe," she mumbled. She unwrapped it completely and he gasped for air. "You're okay. You're okay," Octavia said.

Aleta leaned back and sighed, her eyes closing briefly. "Raven, he's fine!" Jasper called down to her. Aleta pulled Bellamy up. "You're such an idiot. A big, dumb, idiot," she said to him. He let out a breathy laugh. "Don't ever do that again." He nodded his head before turning around. "Murphy! Murphy! It's over!" He shouted hoarsely. He began climbing the ladder and tried to open the door, but Murphy had used something to block it.

Bellamy pushed against the door with all of his might. "There's only one way out of this for you now!" Bellamy yelled. He attempted to get the door open again. An explosion went off in the upper level and it shook the whole dropship. Octavia gripped Aleta's upper arm. Bellamy finally opened the latch. "Murphy!" He yelled again. Smoke flooded out of the upper level and Bellamy went the rest of the way up. Aleta and Jasper climbed up the stairs, one after the other.

They walked over to where Bellamy stood and peered out of the large hole that Murphy had blown into the dropship wall. The forest was what Aleta saw as she looked out of it. Murphy was running into it and away from camp. "The guy knows how to make an exit," Jasper said. Aleta gave him a look. "Should we go after him?" Jasper asked. "No. The Grounders will take care of Murphy. We're going after Clarke, Finn, and Monty," Bellamy answered.

Aleta's eyebrows rose in surprise and Jasper was surprised as well. "You and Raven were right. We don't abandon our own," he continued, looking at Jasper. Aleta smiled up at him. "Two guns you and me. That's it. Raven stays here to build up defenses. We lost a day because of this and our gun powder. Raven!" Bellamy said before beginning to walk away. "Bellamy, you almost died. Maybe you should cool it for a few minutes," Aleta suggested. He only looked at her, his eyes holding an emotion that she couldn't decipher.

Jasper looked between the two as they stared at one another. He grew uncomfortable before Aleta cleared her throat. "I'm coming with you, by the way. And don't even try to tell me otherwise. You know I never listen to you," she added. Bellamy smiled slightly, "All right, three guns." Aleta nodded and he went to leave again. "Bellamy, wait. Look, I just..." Jasper trailed off. He walked forward and hugged Bellamy. Bellamy was slightly taken aback but hugged him back, albeit, a little awkwardly. Jasper pulled away, tears in his eyes. "Long way from 'whatever the hell you want'," he said. This made Bellamy smile.

The radio that Bellamy had crackled. "All gunners! We got movement outside the south wall!" A male voice informed. Bellamy immediately made his way down the stairs and out of the dropship, Jasper and Aleta following after him. Once outside, Aleta could see the gunners making their way to the gate. "Wait! Hold your fire! It's Clarke and Finn. Open the gate!" Nathan called.

Immediately they began opening the gate. When it was open, Clarke and Finn ran in. Aleta quickly pushed past Bellamy and threw herself into Clarke's arms. Clarke was gasping for air when she wrapped her own arms around the older girl. "Thank God you're okay," they said simultaneously. Aleta pulled away from her. "We heard an explosion. What happened?" Clarke asked. "Murphy happened," Bellamy responded.

Jasper was next to hug Clarke. "Thank God! Where've you been? Where's Monty?" Jasper asked after pulling away from the blonde. "Monty's gone?" Clarke questioned in concern. Aleta grew confused. He wasn't with them. "Clarke, we need to leave, now. All of us do. There's an army of grounders, unlike anything we've ever seen, coming for us right now. We need to pack what we can and run," Finn informed.

"Like hell we do. We knew this was coming," Bellamy was quick to protest. "Bell, we're not prepared," Octavia said. "And they're not here yet. We still have time to get ready," he retorted. "Besides, where would we go? Where would we be safer than behind these walls?" He questioned. "There's an ocean to the east. People there will help us," Finn answered. "You saw Lincoln," Octavia realized.

"Yeah," Finn confirmed. "You expect us to trust a grounder?" Bellamy asked. They all look at one another. "This is our home now.
We built this from nothing with our bare hands! Our dead are buried behind that wall in this ground! Our ground! The grounders think they can take that away. They think that because we came from the sky, we don't belong here. But they're yet to realize one very important fact: We are on the ground now, and that means we are grounders!" Bellamy addressed them all.

A chorus of 'yeah' was yelled from the campers. "Grounders with guns!" Someone yelled. "Damn right! I say, let 'em come," Bellamy said. He looked around, panting quietly and Clarke stepped forward. "Bellamy's right. If we leave, we may never find a place as safe as this. And God knows, in this world, we could be faced with something even worse tomorrow. But that doesn't change the simple fact that if we stay here, we will die tonight. So pack your things. Just take what you can carry. Now," the blonde said.

The campers began to disperse, their voices mixing together. Aleta watched them all go to gather their things. "Help me!" She suddenly heard. She turned her head to see a limping Raven, making her way over to them. "Raven!" She yelled, immediately running over to her friend. "Murphy shot her," Jasper said as Finn picked her up. "Get her into the dropship," Aleta commanded, following after the boy.
