EVERY TIME VIOLET WOULD RUN INTO HAWK at school, she would look away at him or would glare. It was one or the other.

Hawk wanted to talk to Violet, but she kept pushing him away. He would try and grab her arm to get her attention, but she would yank it away immediately.

He decided it was best to give her space at the moment. He knew he messed up when he kissed Violet that day, knowing he would lead her on.

Violet still had her friend Miguel and now her childhood best friend is back too. She thought it was a good thing that Robby came back, but little did Violet know, shit was about to happen.

"Hey, Miguel, you want to get food after school? I'll ask Martin to take us." Miguel closed his locker so he can give Violet his full attention.

"Sure, is Hawk coming?" Miguel asked in more of a reluctant tone.

"No, I'm not talking to him at the moment. He said stuff that made me pissed."

Miguel nodded, not wanting to push further in a conversation about Hawk.

"Wait, so he said he was just 'in the moment'?" Violet and Miguel were talking about Hawk while eating fries.

"Yeah right?! I was so mad because I thought he actually liked me, but I guess I was wrong."

"Well, he is stupid for not seeing the beautiful person you are, Violet,"  Miguel said, making Violet blush slightly.

"Thanks, Miggy. You know what, fuck life. Let's get more fries and milkshakes and not give a fuck. This is our day to not care and I'm loving it already."

"Done. Hey ma'am? Can we get another round of milkshakes and fries?" Miguel smiled and Violet smiled back, knowing that they were going to be in a food coma, but it's okay since they didn't care.

After the fry wrappers on the floor and the milkshake cups on their table, Violet and Miguel leaned back in their chairs, feeling like they were going to throw everything up.

"Maybe 'fuck it day' was a bad idea. At the same time, I had a lot of fun with you Vi." Miguel was patting his tummy while staring at Violet from across the table.

"Awww, I had fun too, Miguel. We should do this again, but not anytime soon please," Violet let out a small chuckle before rubbing her stomach which was filled with food.

Martin took the food-filled children home, shaking his head about the preposterous action they did at the restaurant.

After Martin dropped off Miguel, he took Violet back home. The food coma was starting to kick in so Violet plopped on her bed and laid there, making her fall asleep quickly.

However, that nap was cut short by the sounds of Violet's phone ringing with an unknown number.

Not recognizing the number, but curious, Violet answered her phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Violet, it's Robby! Um, I have something to tell you and I don't want to over the phone so can you meet me somewhere?" Violet was questioning where Robby got her phone number from, but that was not her priority now.

"Sure, where should we meet at?"

"How about the diner near the school? I'll see you in 15." With that, Robby hung up the phone. Violet got up from her bed and decided to put on some fresh clothes.

Violet didn't want to wake Martin up so she decided to walk there. Luckily it was not too far from her house.

When she arrived there, she saw Robby already sitting in one of the booths.

Robby lifted his head up to see Violet standing there, beautiful as usual.

"Hey, Vi!" Robby went up to her and hugged her. She hugged back.

"Hey Robby, so what did you want to talk about that was so important?" Violet put down her phone so her full attention was now on Robby.

He looked into her eyes, but then broke eye contact which made Violet nervous about what he was about to say.

"Okay, so I just wanted to tell you something that you should know."

"Okay, what is it, Robby?" Violet was fidgeting with her fingers, anxiously waiting for what Robby was going to say.

"So the masquerade dance..."

"Yeah?"

"I was the person you were dancing with." Violet's heart dropped slightly since she had a tinge of hope her mystery man was Hawk, but she knew it was too good to be true.

"W-W-What, really? How do you know it was me?" Robby was silent for a while before speaking up again.

"I r-r-recognized that you always wear that green charm bracelet," Robby said hesitantly. Violet looked down at her hand and noticed how she never really took off that bracelet. Violet knew for sure her mystery man was Robby.

"Wait, if you knew, how come you didn't come to me earlier?" Violet wanted more answers, still half convinced.

"I wasn't sure if you were free and I don't know, I guess I was nervous." Violet smiled at Robby's cuteness and gently grabbed his hand across the table.

"I believe you, Robby." He smiled and kissed her hand.

"Good."

Violet was too naive and desperate to find who her mystery man was, so she believed Robby. Also, he is her childhood best friend.

What Violet did not know, was how Robby is lying to her.
