THE NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL, Violet was smiling uncontrollably from the night before. Her mind couldn't get away from the man she danced with the night before.

Violet gushed to Martin about the mystery man she was dancing with and he was so relieved that his daughter figure finally sounded happy for once.

"Did you guys kiss?" Violet turned her head towards Martin, playfully glaring at him.

"No, Martin, we didn't, but I can tell he was really dreamy."

"Well, I'm so happy for you Ms. Ocean. I'm glad you had a fun time." Violet went up to Martin and hugged him.

"Thank you, Martin. For giving me confidence and for everything in general. I can't do this without you."

Martin was happy that Violet cared for him as much as he cared for her. It was a relief that she considered him as family and not just a butler.

Violet thought when she went back to school, she would be able to ignore Hawk, but that definitely was not the case.

*❀❁❀*

Violet was rambling to Miguel about the dance, going on and on about everything she remembers from that night.

Miguel couldn't help but feel a small pang in the chest hearing Violet talk about another guy like this, but he just wanted her to be happy, regardless.

"Do you think he goes to our school," Miguel asked wondering how good-looking this person was.

"Huh, I'm not sure actually. But it was just a magical night. I felt like Cinderella. I even wore a baby blue dress just like Cinderella too."

"I'm glad you had fun Vi, you deserve all the happiness."

"Awww, thanks, Miguel." Violet went up to Miguel and hugged him, but that was quickly interrupted by someone bumping into them, forcing them to break apart.

"Oops, sorry Sharkie, my shoulder couldn't help but bump into you," Hawk smirked evilly then went over to his friend group.

"You know what, fuck this. I'm talking to this bitch." Miguel gave her a look and tried to talk her out of it, but it was no use. Violet was already walking towards Hawk.

"Eli," Violet said his name low and threatful. Hawk turned to look down at the girl and he scrunched his nose in disgust.

"What do you want?"

"I want to know why you hate me so much." Hawk rolled his eyes and tried to walk away from her, until Violet grabbed Hawk's arm, making him give her a death glare.

"Don't touch me," Hawk seethed through his teeth.

"Please, look what you do to me every day. You torment me. You bully me. Like literally, what the fuck is your problem?" Violet broke. She was completely done with his bullshit.

"Don't talk to me like that. Ever." Hawk ripped his arm away from her then got closer to her face. It looked like they were going to kiss, but really, he was intimidating her.

"Make me," Violet threatened back.

Hawk was done. He grabbed Violet's hand harshly and dragged her out of the cafeteria into an empty hallway of the school.

Violet didn't want to admit it, but her heart was racing out of her chest, not knowing what was going to happen.

When they reached the quietest hallway of the school, Hawk slammed Violet's back into the lockers, making her wince slightly.

Hawk was basically barricading Violet, preventing her from going anywhere. He stared at her in the eyes before speaking up.

"Princess, I told you to not talk to me like that. Or else." Violet's palms were sweaty and she tried to push Hawk off of her, but he didn't budge. He was too strong.

After swallowing some courage, she spoke up again. "You didn't answer my question. Why do you hate me?"

"Because you're annoying."

"Bullshit! I know that is nothing but lies. In second grade, you stopped being my friend for no reason. I was literally broken when you stopped being my friend. Hell, you even made Demetri stop hanging out with me too. So I'm going to ask you one more time, why did you stop?"

"You want to know why I hate you so much?!" Hawk slammed his fist on the locker and raised his voice.

"Yes! Please, tell me. I really want to know."

"Do you really want to know?!"

"Yes!"

"Fine, well it's because-"

Hawk stopped mid-sentence when he heard someone down the halls.

Violet silently cursed to herself knowing she was going to have to wait for that answer later.

Now, Violet had to wait another time, but now she couldn't get Hawk out of her head. That dance she had with the mystery man dissipated in her head.

Right now, all Violet could think of was Hawk.

tsk tsk who was the dumbass that interrupted them 🤦‍♀️ . i hope you all enjoyed this chapter eheheh
