Hoping the best & gaining some confidence to initiate & interact with the other, both Monami & Karan moved ahead and entered the terrace before Barkha needed to call them. Though they've made their minds of not getting nervous anymore, but that one question was still a big question in their minds. WHAT ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO SAY??

Karan & Monami were accompanied by Barkha & Baby who came to the terrace with them. While looking here & there, Baby spots a beautiful swing, surrounded by plants and flowers. Getting excited looking at the beautiful scenery, Baby rushes towards it in sat receiving a glare from Barkha. Monami giggled shyly on Baby's cute antics and her excitement after seeing the swing. Hearing Monami's soulful giggle, Karan's lips too curved into a smile but before he could adore her more, he lowered his gaze to not to make her feel awkward or uncomfortable.

Baby - Mumma, dekho jhula! Hum yaha jhula jhulne aaye hain?

Barkha rushes towards Baby and picked her up and made her get down from the swing. 

Barkha - Nahi, hum yaha jhulne nahi baatein karne aaye hain. Samjhe? Now get down like a good girl!

Baby (with a sad pout) - Baatein to neeche bhi kar rahe thhe. Yaha kyu aaye fir?

Barkha sighed on Baby's never-ending questions while Monami & Karan again smiled wide at the cutie. 

Barkha - Chachu or aunty yaha par baatein karenge! Aur ab koi question nahi!

Baby nodded but didn't understand anything. Koel who made her way through the stairs with a tray having tea in her hand, started walking beside Karan while eyeing him playfully. 

Karan (hesitantly) - Hi, I'm Karan! Karan Shergill!

Koel - Hello, mera naam Koel hai. Aap chahe to mujhe 'chhoti' bula sakte hain. Jaise...di bulati hain! Vaise bhi, lagta hai aap dono ka mamla jam hi jaega! Kyu?

Karan smiled awkwardly getting the meaning behind Koel's words. Not knowing what & how he should answer, Karan just asks her politely to walk ahead him and Koel too got that she has teased him a bit more. She nods and Karan & Koel goes to the place where Monami, Barkha and Baby were. The terrace was beautiful and full of greenery. Various plants having colorful flowers were kept on the boundary to give the terrace a more refreshing and serene look. 

Barkha - Kafi khubsoorat terrace hai!

Koel - Ye sab to di ka kara hua hai. Hariyali badi pasand hai inhe!

Monami (scolding while whispering) - Chhoti, chup!

Baby (fascinatedly) - Bahot sundar hai ye jagah!

Barkha - Hmm..Monami, baitho. 

Monami - A..aap baithiye na.

Koel (to Karan) - Aap baith jaiye!

Karan - Aap...

Baby (cutting his words) - Offo..koi baith kyu nahi raha?!

All looked at each other and then laughed at their nonsense antics of asking each other to sit while knowing that no one's going to sit before the other one sits. 

Barkha - Koel, hum unke saath baithne ka soch rahe hain jo khud privacy chahte hain. Main kya kehti hoon, hum chale?

Koel agreed while chuckling and Barkha & Baby left the terrace along with Koel, but not before winking and strengthening both Monami & Karan respectively. 

Karan (feebly) - Aap..baithiye na. 

Monami nodded and sat on one of the chairs placed at the terrace. On Monami's insistence, Karan too had a seat beside Monami hesitantly. They were sitting all silent in between all the plants that were waving slightly due to the slight blow of wind. An awkward silence prevailed in the atmosphere as it has been 10 minutes since Karan & Monami are sitting with lowered heads and without uttering even a single word. But they both were secretively glancing at each other. Monami was fidgeting with her fingers & Karan was continuously tapping his feet due to nervousness. Different ways yet same feeling!

Taking some deep breaths to calm the racing heart in his chest, Karan decided to finally speak up because they are here to talk & interact, not to sit quietly.

Karan - Floor kafi handsome hai na?

Monami (confused) - Sorry?

Karan (awkwardly) - Na..nahi vo aap kafi der se floor ko ghoore jaa rahi hain na, so I just..asked. 

Monami couldn't hold back and chuckled on Karan's sense of humor and attempt of initiating a conversation, making Karan too smile. But before Karan could stop smiling, Monami caught him smiling wide and adoring her smile and the moment he saw Monami noticing him, he immediately lowered his gaze in order to not to make her feel uncomfortable. Monami noticed each and everything he did, and it made a really good impression of Karan in her mind. 

Monami - Chai lijiye na!

Karan nodded & took the cup of tea and passed another one to Monami as well. A sip of good warm tea and a great company besides, that too in such an environment..the things were apt. 

Karan - Monami ji, main nahi jaanta ki abhi hume kya baat karni chahiye, lekin itna zaroor pata hai ki hume yaha aise chup-chaap baithne ke liye nahi bheja gaya hai. 

Monami - Aap bilkul sahi keh rahe hain. Yaha aaye to hum apne future ke liye hain, lekin bina ek dusre ke beete kal ke baare mein jaane to koi faisla nahi le payenge. Aap shuru kijiye...

Karan nodded with a smile & was internally happy that atleast the conversation is initiated and the comfort they are having with each other that too in the very first meet itself will help them in opening up about themselves. 

Karan - Main pala-bada to Delhi mein hi hoon. Fir, Schooling aur college ke baad Deolali chala gaya to join Parakram SAF. Vo ek commando training academy hai and I took training under Param bhaiya & Batra sir, a..vo mere senior bhi hain aur papa ke dost bhi. (Chuckling) Zindagi mein aaj tak jitne bhi missions hue hain unme kabhi dar nahi laga, lekin aaj, aapse baat karne se pehle sach mein bahot dar lag raha tha. 

Monami - Kyu? (Jokingly) Main itna bhi buri nahi hoon jo aap mujhse milne se itna dar rahe thhe. 

Karan (immediately panicking) - Nahi nahi, aap buri nahi hain! Bura to main hoon...aap to bahot achhi hain, bahot zyada achhi! 

Without realizing Karan said what he felt in fear of her getting offended. Karan uttered something which he had in his heart, receiving a sudden, amazed look from Monami. Karan then realized what he said being nervous and smacked his forehead internally. 

Karan - A..ma..in vo..

Monami - Aapko kyu lagta hai ki aap bure hain?

Karan looked at Monami being kinda surprised that among all the words he said, she only noticed what he said about himself. 

Karan - A..vo..actually I feel ki main kisi ladki ko deserve nahi karta. You know, I'm a commando. Humesha to nahi but half of the time missions par hota hoon. Meri life ka koi bharosa nahi hai..aaj hoon, pata nahi kal...

Monami - Aise nahi bolte! Sirf aapko lagta hai ki aap kisi ko deserve nahi karte, har kisi ko nahi lagta. Chaliye maan liya ki aapki job bahot tough hai and life guarantee nahi hai. Lekin jitni life hai use to jeeyo! Kal ki tension mein aaj ko kyu bhule?! I know aap apni family ki ya closed ones ke liye worried honge because they might be targetted because of you, lekin kya aap ek Special Agent hoke unhe protect karne ke capable nahi hain??

Karan was stunned by what she said and how she wants to change his perspective towards his work & life. Karan understood and realized that since the moment Sooraj asked him to be married to the moment ago, he was cautious and worried about his coming future and safety of his life partner. But he forgot that he's a well-trained Special Agent who's counted in one of the best commandos the nation has, he's more than capable of ensuring his people's safety.

Karan - Monami, I must say mera yaha aane ka decision sahi tha. Thank you for making me realize ki kal ki sochkar aaj ko kho raha tha! Thanks a lot!

Monami gave a toothsy smile & now the thin air of discomfort vanished, and Monami & Karan were talking as if they've known each other since years. 

Monami - Mention not! Aur vaise bhi, main ek doctor hoon..kisi ko niraash ya demotivate hota nahi dekh sakti. 

Karan - Oh ya, aap doctor hain, right..papa ne bataya tha. Bahot padhna pada hoga na, main to nahi padh sakta itna jitna aap doctor log padh lete ho. 

Monami - Umm..haan, padhna to padta hai but jab aapka koi patient aapko theek hokar ek chhota sa 'thank you' bhi bol deta hai na to sab worth it lagta hai. Actually, that's something common between us. Hum dono ki hi duties hi dusro ko protect & cure karne ke liye hain!

Karan was really impressed by the way Monami's talks reflected her sincerity & determination towards her duty as a doctor. That was actually a similarity between them that their respective duties are their first priority. Maybe something was growing between them. 

Karan - Ek aur cheez common hai!

Monami - Kya?

Karan - Yahi ki baato-baaton mein hum dono ki hi chai thandi ho gayi!

And with this, a sweet laughter from both Monami & Karan could be heard. They shook their heads on how involved they got while talking that they totally forgot about the tea. 

Monami - Ek aur cup??

Karan - Nahi nahi, rehne dijiye. (Sheepishly) Sach kahu to mujhe chai se zyada coffee mein interest hai. 

Monami - Kyaaaaa?! Aapko chai nahi pasand? Mujhe to chahe khaana bhi mat do, but subah ki chai is mandatory. 

Karan - Arre to aapko kaun rok raha hai? Infact, shaadi ke baad har subah main hi aapko apne haath ki chai pilaunga! What say?

Being excited & a bit too open, Karan again forgot that it's just their first meet. Not receiving any reply from Monami, Karan looked up only to find Monami with her eyebrows raised and looking at him in a glaring manner. Karan very soon realized the blunder he created. 

Karan - A..mera vo matlab nahi tha. Main to bus...

Monami (with a smirk) - Lagta hai aapko bahot jaldi hai shaadi ki. Koi girlfriend vagera to zaroor rahi hogi aapki. Haina?

Karan - Sach kahu to main kabhi ladkiyon mein itna interested tha nahi. I mean, hoon to ladkiyon mein hi interested but kabhi time hi nahi mila kisi ladki ko uss nazar se dekhne ka. Aapka kabhi kuchh...

Monami - Same pinch again! Kabhi aisa koi mila nahi jo samjhe, pyaar kare, aur pyaar se bhi zyada respect kare. You know, zyadatar ladke ladkiyon mein ek wife, ek bahu ya fir apne bacho ki maa khojte hain. Main chahti hoon ki koi mujhe ek partner ki tarah pehle dekhe, koi mujhse kandhe se kandha milakar chale, jo mujhse support karne se katraye nahi! I understand har ladki ko at most point ek wife, ek bahu aur ek maa ki zimmedari nibhani hi padti hai lekin usme uske real self ko to nahi khona chahiye na. Aap kya kehte hain iss baare mein?

Karan - Sach kahu to ek ladki ko wife se pehle ek saathi ki tarah dekhna bahot zaroori hai. Main aapko iss rishte ke liye zabardasti haan karne ke liye ya khud ka impression banane ke liye nahi keh raha, magar sach mein main ye maanta hoon ki ladkiyan ladko se zyada strong hoti hain. Aur Monami ji, main apni hone wali patni ko shayad thoda time kam de pau magar unhe mere pyaar aur support ki kami kabhi nahi hone dunga!

After keeping their views, Monami & Karan looked at each other and something changed. In the starting of their conversation, there was hesitation but now the respect for the other is increased in their eyes. Monami's expressive, mature yet bubbly nature made its way to Karan's heart & knowing how much Karan respects women, Monami too started liking him for everything he is. A perfect man, a man which every girl wants is Karan. Respectful, humble, determined yet calm, Karan's nature was liked by Monami in the very first meet itself. A rough-tough commando being in his unusual self and opening about his fears in front of her is actually surprising to her but also gave her a hint about what he feels about her. 

A girl like Monami, caring, loving, strong yet soft, a girl who no man can reject. Karan is right now sitting in front of such a girl who managed to touch the heart of that man who never paid any heed to any girl. The way she expresses herself, her needs, her expectations from her to-be groom is immensely bold & unusual of her nature. But Karan likes being straight-forward. He believes that saying something in round & round manner does nothing except making it complicated. As told by his father, Monami is not someone who says something without caring about the listener. She ensured Karan's comfort and then kept her views. A girl like Monami in someone's life would definitely make it a living heaven. 

Karan - I'm sorry, I guess main kuchh zyada hi bol gaya. Aap kuchh puchhna chahengi?

Monami (starting at Karan) - Mujhe mere saare jawaab mil gaye!

Karan's eyes widened in surprise & his lips immediately curved into a wide smile. Both Monami & Karan stood up when they saw Barkha, Faizi & Koel coming. Without saying anything to anyone nor Karan, Monami just rushes to her room but not before passing a killing shy smile to Karan. Seeing Monami rushing to her room, Koel too followed her as the smile on Karan's face was still intact & was telling everything. 

Barkha - Devar ji, kaisi lagi doctor?

Karan looked down and fidgeted with his fingers as his cheeks heated up and this was the first time when someone was successful in making the rough-tough agent blush. 

Faizi - Oh ho, kya baat hai! Lagta hai doctor ne bukhar chadha diya. Tu kahe to check-up karva de?

Faizi winked at Karan teasing him to which he just turned towards the railing hiding his blushy-blushy face. Observing Karan's antics, Barkha got her answer & rushed downstairs when Karan leaned down from the railing only. 

Karan - Bhabhi suniye to, ek baar Monami ji se puchh lete to...

Barkha - Uski muskaan ne sab keh diya!

This gave Karan the much-needed surety & now he was literally dancing in his head. 

Barkha (to everyone downstairs) - Papa, Karan ki haan hai!

Listening this, a wave of happiness & excitement rushed in everyone & Param immediately rushed to the terrace. While Deepak went to Monami's room & Sooraj, Col. Batra & Barkha went to their car for the Shagun things. 

Param - To bhai bata, kaisi lagi ladki?

Karan (stilling looking down) - Hmm..theek hai..

Param (excitedly) - Chup-chaap accept kyu nahi karta ki pehli meeting mein hi tu uspar fida ho gaya?!

Karan just smiled wide & the brothers hugged each other tight being extremely happy and Faizi too joined that hug. Deepak was also happy that his 'bitto' will start a new phase of her life. But to Deepak, his daughter's consent was way more important and necessary to him. As he entered Monami & Koel's room, he saw Monami facing the window and Koel standing behind her. He immediately rushed to Monami & took his daughter in his embrace. 

Deepak - Bitto, tu khush to hai na? Bache dekh, agar teri 'haan' nahi hai to bata de. Koi kuchh nahi kahega! (Cupping her face) - Bata beta, pasand aaye vo?

Monami smiled and a red hew again formed on her cheeks and she just hugged Deepak again that too very tightly. Her smile said it all! 

Koel - Papa, di ne kaha ki vo bilkul aapke jaise hain!

Deepak (smiling) - Pagali!

In the living room, the Shergills have arranged everything needed for the engagement. The jewelry, pooja material, clothes, rings everything was already in their car and now they just set it up. All were present there except one. Karan & Monami were seated by Koel & Barkha, and all were looking for only that one person. Looking here & there, Deepak figured out that only Juhi is missing and hasn't come down when Deepak asked to bring the jewelry from the locker. Deepak in search of Juhi, reached their room and found her sitting on the bed with a grumpy face. 

Deepak - Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho?! Sab neeche rah dekh rahe hain aur vo sone ki chain kaha hai?

Juhi - Aapko to bus apni Bitto dikhti hai! Ve log sagai ki saari taiyaariyan karke aaye hain. Raees khandaan se rishta jodne se pehle zara len-den ki baatein to karlo. Abhi aage apni Koel bhi hai, usko bhi to byahna hai. Sab kuchh mat luta dena apni Bitto par!

Deepak (angrily) - Had karti ho tum, Juhi!

Before Juhi could reply or Deepak could say anything further, a knock was heard on the door & upon opening, Deepak found Sooraj there. To hide the anger that was rushing inside him, Deepak put up a fake smile on his face. 

Sooraj - Andar aa sakta hoon?

Deepak - Ji, aaiye aaiye!

Sooraj - Aapke aapsi maamle mein dakhal-andazi ke liye maafi chahunga, bhabhiji. Par ab hum aur humara parivaar ek hone ja raha hai, main chahunga ki kisi bhi kism ka parda na rahe. (With folded hands) Hum bus aapki beti Monami chahte hain! Aur kuchh nahi. Haan lekin agar aapko koi aapatti...

Deepak - Kaisi baatein kar rahe hain aap, Sooraj ji?! Aapka beta to heera hai!

Sooraj - Haan to bus, aaj sirf ek nariyal aur 11 rupay dekar Karan ko apne damad cum bete ke roop mein swikar kar lijiye. Ye bahot hoga!

Deepak nodded with a smile & both the men ascended the stairs and Juhi too came down knowing that now there's no profit of doing any drama. This alliance won't be stopped anyhow.

In the living room, first, Deepak & Juhi put tilak on Karan's forehead along with some raw rice and Karan took their blessings. Then the same was done with Monami by Sooraj first & then ParKha together. Some clothes & some gold was also exchanged but not as dowry, but as a token of bond. Everything was done equally so no one felt any burden. Finally, Karan & Monami exchanged rings with shyness, love & adoration filled eyes. They wanted to exclaim and smile wide due to the happiness they were experiencing at the moment, but to avoid any teasings & embarrassment, they controlled themselves & their outburst of emotions. A big round of applause of given for the newly engaged couple by their people present there. 

Baby took Param's phone and started clicking pictures of each and every thing she could. 

Baby - Aunty, smile please!

Sooraj - Beta, ab aunty nahi chachi bolo!

Upon Sooraj's correction, Baby got confused by Monami & Karan blushed profusely at the change. 

Baby - Pehle to aunty thi, ab chachi kyu?

Faizi - Aapke chachu ko itni pasand aa gayi to unhone aunty ko chachi bana liya!

All laughed at the child's innocence and the grown ups' (MoRan) antics. They didn't realize while talking & laughing, when the sun set, and it was time for the Shergills to leave. The cars were ready, and everyone were all set to leave. From afar, Monami called Baby near her and passed a bundle of big chocolates to her. 

Monami - Sweet baby ke liye sweet chocolates!

Baby (getting extremely excited) - Yayyy! Thank you, chachi! Aap bhi Delhi chalo na. 

Monami (blushing a bit) - Chachi baad mein aayegi!

Baby - Okay!

And saying so, Baby rushed towards her parents who were standing near their car and were taking Deepak's blessings. 

Param - Chalte hain chachaji, namaste!

Seeing Param & Barkha taking Deepak's blessings, Baby too came forward and bent to take his blessings when Deepak lifted her in his arms. 

Deepak - Arre beta, betiyan to ghar ki laxmi hoti hai. Aur laxmi pairon mein nahi sar par achhi lagti hai! Aapse to humne 2 baatein bhi nahi ki.

Keeping Baby back on the ground, Deepak saw Sooraj and Juhi biding adieu to the Panditji who just did his work of deciding Monami & Karan's wedding dates. Deepak with a hope in his heart, went towards Sooraj. 

Deepak - Sooraj ji, aapse ek guzarish thi. Thoda samay nikal kar, aap sab kabhi humare gao Madhupur aaiye. Bahot khubsoorat hai! Bacho ko kafi maza aayega!

Sooraj - Ji Deepak ji, aap jab kahe! Ab to hume humari hone wali bahurani se milne ke bahane chahiye. Panditji ne shaadi ka muhurat 6 maheene baad ka jo nikala hai! Kya panditji, aap bhi. 

Now finally the moment has come when Shergills are going to leave, Deepak & Juhi even dropped Col. Batra & Sooraj to the gate, but all were still waiting for Karan & Faizi. When Barkha told them that he still needs 5 minutes, because she knew everything. 

On the terrace, in the dark, Koel somehow managed to bring Monami to Karan who was desperately waiting for one last look of her which he could capture in his eyes before leaving for Delhi. 

Koel - Jijaji, ehsaan chukana padega!

Faizi - Haanji janabji, dena to hume bhi kuchh padega!

And saying so, Koel left along with Faizi leaving the love birds in privacy. 

Karan - Aap khush to hain na?

Monami - Aapko har baat saaf-saaf kehni padti hai kya?

Karan chuckled on her sarcasm and now he was 101% sure that she's happy. He pulled out his phone from his pocket and made a puppy face in front of her. Monami understood what he's saying and nodded with a shy smile. Karan received her agreement and came beside her, maintaining an appropriate distance and clicked their first selfie as the memory of their first meeting. 

Karan - Thanks & bye!

Monami - Bye!

Being disheartened, they still bid goodbye to each other. But their heart was still fluttering at th thought of being someone's partner, being someone's better half and sharing a whole new life with that person. It's not about meeting someone, agreeing for the alliance and getting engaged on the same day. It's about the impression one makes on the other irrespective of the time period you know them, or they know you. Same goes for MoRan, none of them ever imagined that they'll agree to marry someone that too with whole of their heart. Monami never thought that she'd meet someone who will support her, understand her duty & will respect it & also respects others. But Karan was different...he knows how to make someone comfortable, how to respect a lady and how to make her feel appreciated. She's truly fond of Karan & his bitter-sweet nature. 

Even Karan never thought he'd meet someone who will change his beliefs & perspective about life, who will stand as his support and will respect & understand his work. He always thought that being a commando, he won't be liked by any girl, and he too never wanted any girl to get attached with him because maybe that would be the worst decision of her life. But Monami was different...she knows how to respect other's work along with hers & also respects others, she knows how to be both strong & soft at the same time & is clear about what she wants. Monami really stole the agent's heart. 

Karan left with others and Monami kept staring at the car till it completely vanished from her side. In wait of the next meet, Karan & Monami decided to live in each other's thoughts and dreams. They were now desperate to meet each other again but the restless wait also seems soulful and beautiful in love!!
