LITTLE BUN

The sun was on strike and refused to share its temperature with us. Nonetheless, it had little effect. People dressed warmly and stylishly and wandered about the city, which was enjoying the new season with a new appearance. To greet the winter, there was delight and enthusiasm everywhere. There was no shortage of joy. It could be felt in the air, heard in the laughing and roars, and seen on people's faces.

Jungkook's gorgeous face was adorned with a sweet grin. When his automobile came to a standstill at a busy street's red light, he saw the crowd.

'Knock, Knock.'

Hearing the knock on the windshield, Jungkook moved to his right. His heart wrenched a little as he looked at the small child, flushed from the cold and holding the bouquet of flowers in his palm.

It wasn't the first time he witnessed children assisting their parents in earning money. It was illegal, yet it never stopped.

As he rolled down the window, his gaze was drawn to the timer for the green light. It was still early. "Could you please come to this side, Sweetheart, quickly?" Jungkook said. "Come on, come on." He said that as he reached for his warm knitted scarf from the shotgun seat.

"I will be there, brother," the small kid said sweetly. The tiny child took little steps around the automobile.

Jungkook stepped out of his car and kneeled in front of the youngster. He grinned at the shocked child as he gently wrapped the scarf around his neck in two thicknesses. His delicate fingertips shifted the strands of hair away from the child's face.

Jungkook rubbed his palms together and cradled the tiny boy's cheek to warm it up. "Ask your mother to keep you warm in the winter, Sweetie." "Don't get a cold."

The boy stroked the silky scarf, then stared at the route, perplexed. Jungkook followed his line of sight but saw that no one was gazing at them.

When he caught sight of Jungkook's stare, the small child grew terrified. He swiftly crammed the entire bouquet of flowers into his hands, capturing Jungkook's attention.

He had a big smile on his face. "I appreciate the scarf, brother. I'll make certain to keep this safe."

Jungkook was oblivious to the small boy's distress. He gave the lovely youngster a kind grin. He didn't require flowers. So many were useless to him. Anyway, he considered purchasing them so that the young one may return home and recuperate. "Will you tell this brother how much..." he said as he stepped up to get his money from the car.

When Jungkook saw the youngster fleeing, he became agitated. He started following him to give him the money, but when he forgot, he said, "Hey... Wait... Wait a minute... You didn't take the money..."

Jungkook wasn't ready to give up, but the cars behind him began honking violently, destroying the happy atmosphere. Due to an ear-piercing noise, he had only glanced at his automobile. When he turned around, the tiny child had vanished.

He needed to go back to his car as soon as possible. He hurriedly drove ahead and parked to the side. He urgently searched for the youngster in the same area. He understood how difficult it would be for a tiny family to survive in the metropolis. A hundred dollars might feed them for many days. Even though it wasn't his fault, he felt guilty.

"I'm so sorry," he said as he stood in the center of the sidewalk.

Kindness is a virtue, but it is also harmful. He'll know it soon enough.

Jungkook sighed and got into his vehicle. His gaze was drawn to the lovely white flowers on the shotgun seat. His fingertips brushed over them, sensing the softness of the petal. He resolved to be extra cautious in the neighborhood in order to present the money to the small child.

He started his automobile and drove it towards his house. He missed his son even more after meeting that tiny child.

'Ring... ring...'

Think of the devil.

Jungkook had to stop over since it was a video call. He answered the phone and saw the face that could take away his exhaustion and fill his tiny world with delight.

"Momma!!" When he saw his son handover the phone to a set of hands and jump in front of the camera, the sweet voice drifted to his ears and he grinned warmly

"Momma, look, first snow," he said, spreading his small fists.

Jungkook was so preoccupied with his son that he missed the little white dots floating in the air and caressing his son's face. He was thankful for his thick headgear to shield his ears and extra layers to keep himself warm. He was missing him even more now. He longed to embrace his warm little bun.

He couldn't talk because the young child wouldn't allow him. "Momma, Grandma said we should first watch the snow with the one we love," he ran closer to the mobile and gently transmitted to him, exactly like his grandfather. He is overjoyed to be watching the snow with me."

The camera was turned to see Jungkook's mother. Looking at the tiny kid, the latter was rendered speechless.

The gorgeous face reappeared, and his words continued, "But Momma, I love you the most." Could you kindly come here?" It was his genuine wish.

Jungkook quickly warmed to his small boy when he made such a beautiful request. Hearing him speak so much and staring at him wistfully, he could tell he was missing him. "I love you the most, my baby..."

His voice broke in. Jungkook could hear his father chuckling while his mother reprimanded him, "You little brat, didn't you say you love me the most in the morning?"

Hearing it, his son smiled mischievously. "Oh Momma, I am caught," he immediately murmured to Jungkook as he took the phone from his grandfather. For breakfast, I requested an additional beef bun..." He confessed to him, grinned sweetly, and took off running.

"Tan Young..." When the screen wasn't concentrating anywhere, Jungkook tried to call him.

While running, he made a frown and frantically said, "Momma, I miss you." Please choose me... Oh, Grandma..." When his grandma caught up with his small legs while he was racing in the courtyard, he sobbed.

"Jungkook, uh... "Your son always fools me," his mother said, making Jungkook laugh.

When he was younger, his son was just as wicked as he was. They had a lot in common, whether it was being bad or their favorite cuisine. His mother often grumbled that when his son wanted anything, he was sweet-tongued and could talk so logically that he always won.

"Baby... Tan Young, look at me."

His boy obediently came to a halt and begged his granny to stop. Because of his incredible acting abilities, his grandma quickly seemed guilty.

Jungkook slapped him across the face. He had warned his parents not to fall for his pranks, but his adorable little face always wins. His mother, on the other hand, chastises him for being too rigid.

"Baby, please don't bother your grandparents," he said softly, without reprimanding him.

Tan Young instantly shook his head and transformed into his loving kid, saying, "Momma, haven't you said I can play around and be naughty with you, Grandma and Grandpa?" Momma, I was simply having fun." He made it sound like he didn't realize he was having fun. If they were close, Jungkook might envision his pats on the shoulder.

As if it wasn't enough to leave him speechless, his mother grimaced as she took away his phone. She was a lovely lady in her mid-forties who appeared much younger. "Jeon Jungkook, don't you remember he's five?" You're speaking to my grandson as if he's an adolescent. I did not raise you in this manner. Did I?" She raised an eyebrow, perplexed by his rage.

Queen mother's attack!

The experience of dodging his mother's onslaught is the finest option.

Jungkook pouted and bowed his head in response to his mother's reprimand, saying, "You don't love me anymore." He pouted like a helpless child.

His mother attempted to be upset, but she waved her hand dismissively, "Aish... You should have been five years old." The Queen Mother cleverly concealed her smile by moving away from the camera.

Tan Young and his mother high-fived in the air and laughed as he received the phone. "I am not sending my grandson to you until his winter holidays are over," his mother declared forcefully. Then, in a joyful tone, he continued, "We're taking him on a vacation."

Jungkook was in a bad mood. His employment as a secretariat to the President of Country South Korea does not enable him to be absent for an extended period of time. As a result, his parents always saved him, and he aspired to join them.

His father knelt behind his kid and gazed adoringly at him. He was only a few years older than his wife. His well-kept dark brown hair was adorned with snowflakes that were gradually melting away. "Darling, I adore you. "Take good care of yourself." He'd always been a man of few words.

"Momma, I love you even more," said a cheerful voice. His son interposed, refusing to concede defeat to his grandfather. He showed his mother his more love by throwing his left hand in the air.

The two most important men in his life never failed to show how much they love his. Jungkook knows his mother loves him a lot too. Or else his parents wouldn't have forgiven his unforgivable mistake, went against society for him, and supported him to be a single strong father of his little tot. He would forever be grateful to them.

"I adore you, Dad." And I love you the greatest, my darling." He confessed, spreading his hands to show his kid even more love... No, he portrays him that way because that is how he has always acted.

"Mwa..." he said before their conversation terminated, sending them a flying kiss.

He may not be able to live like a guy his age, but he has never regretted his decision. He cherished the fact that he could work hard and provide a better life for his adoring kid.

He had no idea that his life was about to be turned upside down.
