Bakugou was slightly, no, very, annoyed at the sleeping red head he carried on his back. It had been 72 hours since the incident, and the blonde never left Kirishima's side, sticking to him like super glue. Every second his mind was filled with thoughts regarding the surfer. Even when he went to get groceries to make dinner the previous night, his gut was crawling, telling him that Kirishima was in danger. Bakugou knew that the red head was a strong man, but he couldn't help worry in this vulnerable state of his.

That morning, Bakugou wanted to start the tour early, maybe watch the sunrise, or see the town slowly waking up. Unfortunately, for this unlucky pair, that didn't happen. Kirishima was slowly getting better, but he was still having a few headaches. This resulted in him, sleeping past the alarm and through the blonde screaming and yelling. In the end, Bakugou had to dress him and walk into town like a lunatic.

The sun was getting brighter and brighter, and not to mention hotter and hotter. Katsuki had Kirishima rest on a bench in the town's plaza, letting the trees provide shade for the both of them. As Bakugou began to scroll through his phone, he began to feel a tingling feeling on his neck. He felt many, many eyes staring at him.

"What the hell?" He muttered out loud, brows furrowing. The blonde's crimson red eyes scanned the busy plaza, but no one seemed to be batting an eye to the pair. After a second of glancing at Kirishima's still form, Bakugou leapt up from his seat and started his hunt around the plaza.

He cursed himself for wearing tight, black skinny jeans on this hot day, not to mention his makeup was starting to come off in the heat. As Katsuki wiped the droplets of sweat from his forehead, he saw a familiar flash of colors behind the center fountain. "Don't tell me..." Bakugou gritted his teeth. "It's those annoyances, why the hell are they stalking us!?"

But as the blonde started to look around he became more anxious. The plaza was huge, trees surrounding the circular platform and benches scattered out. They could be anywhere, not to mention the crowd of locals passing by the streets.

He decided to check around the platform first. Walking around the fountain there was no one, checking each bench there was no one, even peeking in every trash can there was no one. Katsuki was starting to get angry. He stomped his way behind the bench where Kiri was still asleep and trudged through the forest. It was cooler, to Bakugou's satisfaction. He looked behind every bark, stump, rock, bush. After many minutes of hopeless investigation, from the corner of his eyes he caught a stir of movement coming from the pile of leaves by the mountains of rocks. The side of his mouth curled into a smirk. He started sprinting towards the pile of leaves, foot ready to kick the shit out of these bitches.

ย  ย  ย  "Ah.. Bakugou?"

ย  ย ย  Hearing the voice, Bakugou slipped and crashed onto the grass. He slowly opened his eyes and saw Kirishima lazily peering down at him, looking to have just been woken up.

ย  ย ย  "Shitty Hair..." Bakugou trailed off, trying to push his anger deep into his gut. The red head offered him his hand, and Bakugou took it. Once standing, Kirishima look at him with a sleepy grin.

ย  ย ย  "Shall we get going?" He asked, gesturing to the island around them.

ย  ย ย  Bakugou nodded silently, still eyeing the leaves that were now scattered about. His brow twitched, knowing his victims had escaped all thanks to Kirishima's interruption.

-

ย  ย ย  After the two had disappeared into town, three bodies tumbled down from the trees above, stacking onto a pile on the park's grass.

ย  ย ย  "Ugh..." Mina groaned as she rubbed her aching butt. "We're lucky Kiri was able to distract Bakuhoe!"

ย  ย ย  The other two nodded, hopping back onto their feet while also rubbing their sides. Kaminari, Hanta, and Mina had noticed the two Bakugou carrying their best friend that morning. All three of them still couldn't process how an asshole like him could be save a literal angel. So, Kami suggested to stalk, no, observe Kiri and Bakugou for the day. After all, Kirishima was their best friend, it was for his safety!

ย  ย ย  Hanta lead the group through the crowd, keeping an eye on the blonde and red head. They seemed happy, to the squad's surprise. However, this didn't stop them from following the two into shops, restaurants, and even the male's restroom.

ย  ย ย  The town's market was open that day, so practically the whole island gathered. It didn't look good for the three stalkers, since it would mean losing their targets. But they were tired, even Mina got her ass whooped by her dad for peeing in the urinal. So, the group decided to put their investigation on hold and enjoy the market.

ย  ย ย  "Man, they have a lot of good stuff this year," Sero nodded amusingly at all the stands. "Dude, they have candied spiders!"

ย  ย ย  Mina shrieked when they came across one of the clothing stands, immediately grabbing her wallet from her purse. She pointed excitedly at all the patterned bottoms and crop tops. Mina grabbed the merchant's hands roughly, a gleeful grin dancing across her face as her demanded for the price.

ย  ย ย  While Mina was harassing the merchant, Kaminari noticed a little girl holding a pikachu popsicle. His eyes lit up at the sight of the adorable yellow creature and squatted down to her eye level, giving her a friendly grin. However she didn't return the smile, for she was shaking, a purple daze showered over her meek complexion.

ย  ย ย  His smile faltered a little as he chuckled lightly. "A-Are you okay?" Kaminari asked. "Also where'd you get that awesome popsicle?"

ย  ย ย  The girl turned to him, twirling a piece of her white locks nervously. Her eyes were shimmering... of tears.

"T-There was a v-very scary man who-" She choked on her words, full tears now trickling down her cheeks. One of her fists clenched onto the popsicle while the other pointed down the market. "H-HE DID IT! I-I THINK H-HE TRIED TO K-KIDNAP ME!"

ย  ย ย  Kami's eyes followed her finger, now seeing the man who caused her so much trauma.

His beloved Shinsou Hitoshi.

He tried to stifle a laugh as he soothed the crying girl in his arms. The kid's outburst caused the whole market to turn to the ice cream seller's direction. Kaminari could see the purple haired boy lowering his visor, even his burning red ears could be seen from his distance.

ย  ย  Denki sighed and put the girl down, who was calmer, but stained his shirt with her ice cream. He started, "Look, ah..."

ย  ย ย  "E-Eri..."

ย  ย ย  "Yeah Eri, um. You see, that man wasn't trying to kidnap you you know?" Denki tried to explain, now seated next to Eri on the edge of the cobblestone road.

ย  ย ย  Eri tilted her head. "B-But he gave me this scary smile... and said to come back again..."

"He was just being friendly! And look, he might be a little scary, but he's trying his best to be a nice ice cream man. He sacrifices his whole day to stand in the hot sun and give delicious, cold treats to people! I guess..." Denki feinted a hurt expression, "He must be really sad now, huh?"

Like a sudden arrow of guilt hit her, Eri's face scrunched back up, bawling her eyes into Denki's lap. "Ice cream man is sad now!" She wept. "It's all my fault!"

Denki laughed then looked back at Shinsou, who was sneaking some quick glances at the two, quite confused.

After a few minutes of reassurance and comforting, he lead Eri back to the ice cream cart. As they approached, Shinsou was serving another customer, now giving up his cheery persona. Once finished, Eri cleared her throat, making Shinsou's tired eyes make his way down. He eyes flickered to Denki's for a second, as if asking 'what the hell's going on?'.

"Mr. Ice Cream Man," Eri starts as she nervously twirls a strand of hair. "I'm sorry I thought you were going to k-kidnap me... This man told me you aren't able to be happy most of the time so that's why you have a creepy smile. I-I now know you're trying you're best to be nice so..." She clapped her hands together and exclaimed, "P-PLEASE FORGIVE ME!"

All Shinsou could do was stare at the little girl, not knowing how to respond. He was shocked of course, and definitely wondered what Denki had conversed with her about. So, he squatted down next to her and to Denki's surprise, gave a genuine smile. All the blonde could describe it as stunning. It looked serene, and made his crush look even more handsome.

"It's... Its alright," Shinsou assures her with his husky voice, patting the girl's head who was now smiling back at him. "I forgive you."

Eri laughed and patted his fluffy hair as well. But just after a few minutes friendly chatter, a man, Denki could only assume Eri's dad came running towards the stand out of breath. His face and even eye bags identical to Shinsou's.

"E-ERI!" He huffed, collapsing onto the ground out of breath. "Your father... and I have been looking around for you. I told you, ah, you could spend some money but you'd come, ha, straight back."

Eri turned around and leapt into the tired man's arms, nestling into his long black hair. "I'm sorry Daddy..." She hung her head low.

The man sighed but smiled at his daughter. He then looked up at Denki and Shinsou, who were awkwardly staring at the two of them.

"And who might you two be?"

"OH! OH! OH!" Eri pulled away and excitedly at the two of them. "That's Mr. Pikachu and Mr. Shinsou! They're really nice!"

"Really now?" Her father eyed the two of them suspiciously.

"Yup!" She nodded then leaned closer to his ear, "I think Mr. Pikachu likes Mr. Ice Cream Man..."

"Pfttt.."

Eri's father stood up and gave a nod to the two boys before walking back into town, Eri waving back at the two of them from his shoulders.

Once they disappeared from sight, Shinsou exhaled loudly and collapsed onto his fold up chair.

"I feel dead."

"Good, because you're drop dead gorgeous!"

Shinsou rolled his eyes in annoyance but the hue of his ears said otherwise. "What are you still doing here, idiot? Don't you have to rob a bank with you're friends or something?"

Denki faked a gasped and turned away mockingly. "You're supposed to be thanking me you know!"

When he heard no witty retort, his head whipped back around to see Shinsou rubbing the back of his neck.

"I guess," He began, "I should... thank you. I really don't know what you said to Eri but y'know, that's the first time a kid's ever smiled at me. So yeah, thanks and..."

Shinsou pulled out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. Once he handed the slip to Denki, the blonde's eyes widened as his ears began to burn red.

My thanks,

"SERIOUSLY!?"

"I'm starting to regret this..."

"I FINALLY HAVE IT! AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS AT UNIVERSITY I GOT IT! YOU REALIZE I'M CALLING YOU EVERYDAY!?"

"..."

"CAN I SIT NEXT TO YOU TODAY!?"

"Just grab a chair and shut up Pikachu."

-

"How much... longer?"

"Tch, you tell me, you're the tour guide."

It was nearing sunset and Bakugou and Kirishima were exhausted, they spent the whole day touring and they weren't even halfway done yet. To end the day, they decided to hike up the trail to Yama Island's main mountain. Surprisingly, Bakugou was quite good at hiking, claiming it was his favorite thing to do in his free time besides photography.

ย  ย ย  "You lucky bastard.. how do you still have so much stamina after walking around so much?" Kirishima huffed as Bakugou helped him up the rocky ledge.

ย  ย ย  "I used to do this everyday back home, I've just built of stamina I guess," The blonde shrugged, now nearing what seemed to be a dead end covered by vines and leaves. "Oi, you sure this is the top?"

ย  ย ย  Kirishima nodded and pushed past him, pulling back the greenery which revealed a orangish light from the setting sun. Once they both entered, Kirishima sat down on the rocky ledge, Bakugou following. They both swung their legs as they watched the clouds drift in the warm, painted sky. This cliff overlooked the whole town, no, the whole island. From the sandy beach, to the busy town, the plaza, the houses scattered beneath the blanket of trees. Bakugou's heart clenched. This would've been a perfect opportunity for his showcase.

ย  ย ย  The red head heard the blonde's long exhale and glanced at him. He fidgeted nervously with the zipper of his backpack. Ever since the incident, Kirishima had harbored these emotions towards the blonde. It was more than the excitement he'd get when the squad would prank Ms. Hiyoko, or getting a new surfboard. Don't get him wrong, he loved those things too, but every little thing Bakugou would do would captivate him. His face, his voice, his touch. Bakugou truly has the red head wrapped around his finger. So out of impulse, and also guilt, Kirishima bought him a gift which would surely make him happy.

ย  ย ย  "Say, Bakugou?"

ย  ย ย  The blonde hummed, eyes still flickering around the scenery.

ย  ย ย  "So you know how you're camera got broken because you tried to save me?"

ย  ย ย  Bakugou rolled his eyes now paying full attention to Kirishima. "Obviously?"

ย  ย ย  "Well um," Kirishima started nervously undoing the backpack's zipper. "I..."

ย  ย ย  "You what?"

ย  ย ย  Quickly, Kiri pulled out a brand new camera out of the bag, not a scratch dusting it.

ย  ย ย  "I had already charged and set it up hehe... I had bought it from a foreigner at the market while you were getting dango so-"

ย  ย ย  "Thank you, Kirishima."

ย  ย ย  Kirishima looked up and saw Bakugou smiling at him. Not a smirk, or a sneer. But a beautiful, and genuine smile.
