It was around six in the evening when we got the fourth warning about the icebergs ahead. As far as I know, Captain Edwards Smith, the captain in charge did change the Titanic's course, heading slightly to the South. However,  the speed was not reduced even though the alerts mentioned the giants floating on our way. She was sailing full speed ahead with a twenty-two-knot speed.

It was the final hours of the Titanic.

I still remember the ominous dread that ghosted my mind with that feeling that something bad was going to happen.

I glanced at the graceful-looking wall clock standing near the fireplace. My nails were digging into my knees with trepidation. I couldn't help but think that something was wrong. My mind couldn't rest with ease because of the overwhelming tension in the quiet room. I checked the clock as it ding-donged.

10:00 pm, 14th April 1912...

That tragic night was a memory I wished never lasted but it was too traumatic to ignore. Thinking about it, the events that occurred back that day were too much to process.

I wish that I could forget the night I lost him foreverOh, how much I yearned for that tragedy to be only a nightmare...

My hand slid to reach the chain I was wearing.

I was scared, I was nervous. The agony was overwhelming me, drifting me into a deep misery that I couldn't control.

But when I held onto the locket Jungkook gave me, I felt like I was safe. My slim fingers traced along the crafted silver pendant. I clasped it between my palms, keeping it closer to my heart.

It was such a warm feeling. Even though at that moment he was not there I felt his presence.

Jungkook had gone to talk about the warnings we kept getting.  He no longer had the authority to demand but he still wanted to secure the safety of the passengers onboard.

Someone may say that Jeon Jungkook was a captain who was out of the league and he could have stayed away from the business. But the truth was that Jungkook made every effort he could to save the Titanic and the passengers she carried that was over two thousand three hundred. He devoted his soul till the very last for them.

The name Jeon Jungkook must be written in history as one of the greatest heroes of the most tragic shipwreck in history, the  Titanic which was called the Ship of Dreams, aka same called as the unsinkable ship.

Till the last moment, he never gave up. Even though he was pushed down from his position,  he didn't let go of the souls onboard. He didn't diminish the faith people had in him as a captain.

At that moment,  he was continually trying to break into the crew meeting room to convince them to slow down the speed of the ship. But by seeing the time he was taken,  I assumed that they probably didn't let him in nor wanted to hear his opinion.

"Stay right here Y/n, I'll come back for you after this...I promise, "

That was what he said before leaving me all alone in the warm cabin. Sure it was warm, but from inside I was brought with anxiety and nervousness.

I stepped towards the cabin window that was shut closed. As I breathed, the cold air puffed into the air.

The moisture was frozen on the glass, forming a thin layer of ice up on it. I couldn't see anything through the pitch darkness except the lazy motions of the waves that continually kept hitting the torso of the ship. The reflection glimmered because of the light falling into the ocean.

It somewhat gave me a shadow of suspense.

Click...Creek...

I flickered as I heard the door unlocking from behind me. My face went bloodless as I recognized the person who was standing in front of the door with a devilish grin stretched on his lips.

I gasped.

"Hello Y/n,"

"What do you mean that the binoculars are misplaced?" with a loud thud, the captain's palm met with the wooden surface of the desk that had a map on it. His jaws were clenching together because of the anger that he was fuming with.

"They lost the key sir," Murdoch answered timidly. He wasn't a person to act like an imbecile. The chaos that was happening between the crew and the white star line had confused him.

Before others could answer a figure barged inside the meeting room. Everyone raised their heads to glimpse the guests.

"Jeon, you are here?" Captain Smith's words were more of a question out of surprise,  a pleasant surprise actually than a sentence.

"Sir I heard about the signs, is that true?" Jungkook questioned him with concern smeared on his face.  Captain Smith heaved a deep sigh before nodding a yes.

It was a pin-drop silence in the room.

Captain Smith, Jungkook, First Officer William Murdoch and the second officer in command Charles Lightoller were gathered together at that moment. All of them had gloominess and anxiety flooding their faces. The tension in the room was overwhelming.

"How many?" Jungkook was the first to break the silence in the room. The answer came from Murdoch,  the first officer in command.

" Five so far sir, the SS California reported three large icebergs, and another one was reported from Mesaba the steamship," he said anxiously. Jungkook bit his lower lip, running his fingers through his locks.

"What did it say?"

"I assume that's none of your business, Mr Jeon," Jungkook flinched at the stern voice that appeared from behind.

Anderson Harper strode towards the table taking long steps towards them. It was an awkward silence that filled the air for a moment. Jungkook balled his firsts as he came closer. The firm grip on his shoulder made Jungkook feel uneasy.

"As you agreed, I believe that you are aware that your presence or engagement is no longer needed here." his words were sharp like blades that cut through the flesh. Harper's keen voice left others with no choice but to remain quiet.

"Anderson, it's no longer a joke-"

But the captain's words were thrown off the cliff without any consideration by the arrogant man who was the biggest investor in the British white star line.

"Do I look like I'm joking or doing child's play?" Harper took his hand away from Jungkook and glanced down at the map.

"The night is calm," he said, looking at the horizon through the window.

"It'll make it difficult to see if there's anything ahead," Jungkook said without hesitation.  He knew that he wasn't wrong. It was foolproof that if they continued this way it wouldn't be easy to spot an iceberg.

"Rather than that, with this speed, it'll be impossible to turn her in time," Jungkook added more to his view. He certainly was right, no one could say no.

But the arrogant bitch inside the first-class royalty was provoked by his words. He turned at Jungkook with a snicker. His piercing gaze tried to burn the fearless man to ashes but nothing could stop Jungkook from stepping into the situation.

"Captain, we have to slow her down. At least down to twenty knots. The propellers won't handle it if they collide with ice. Order the boilers to reduce the cole," he intrepidly talked without even blinking at Harper's threat. He completely ignored his piercing stare.

He was done with shit.

Jungkook turned to the man who was wearing a neat blue uniform.

"Murdoch, what was the last warning? " Murdoch seemed to gather courage from his leader's outstanding behaviour.

"The steamship warned us, sir, she is reporting large icebergs and ice fields"

"Murdoch, go and find the binoculars, " the man promptly agreed. He turned to his second officer in command.

"Charles, you are in charge, go to the nest, and keep an eye on any suspicious things that may cause danger. " as he agreed with a salute, both the men rushed to their stations.

The young captain turned to the other one who was standing there like a mere statue.

"You know what has to be done, sir, you know what your heart says," Jungkook's doe eyes and words were more of a plea than a command. Captain Smith gazed at him. From his eyes, we could tell that he wanted to go according to the youngster's plan.

But something was holding him back.

The burden of thousands of souls and the political pressure were holding him back.

"That's enough! This is outrageous," Harper threw his fists against the wall nearby, making his knuckles bleed. He was pissed off.

"Jefferson!" he called out the guard. A well-built man entered the room. Harper roared with rage, pointing a finger at Jungkook.

"Lock him up in the store room," with his order the guard looked taken back.

"But sir-"

"Take him right now! Are you deaf?"

"Anderson, stop this silliness, we have to accept the reality, " Finally, Captain Smith decided to open up. He looked at the man who was dressed in an elegant suit that was meant for royalty,  they were royalty. But less than it counted at that time.

"I'm doing what has to be done," Captain Smith's words were firm.

"Edwards!"

"I'm doing this with you or without you, Anderson,  that is my final word" he stormed out of the room, quickly after giving Jungkook a nod of appropriation.

The room left with awkward tension as only two of them were left, Jungkook and Harper, who looked like arch enemies at that point.

His deadly glare darkened the mood.

"You are such a nosy person aren't you mister Jeon? I never actually acquiesced to the decision of making you take the lead as a captain "

Jungkook was calm and quiet He did not budge.

"I knew you were bad luck" he muttered before walking backwards towards the door.

That instant, before Jungkook could even think Anderson Harper slipped out through the door and shut closed it. It didn't take the other male a second to observe what he did. He rushed to the metallic door.

His fingers slid to the doorknob, trying to unlock it.

Sure enough,  it was locked. He was trapped.

"Bastard! Open this door!" Jungkook started banging on the door.

He was startled as no one responded. He groaned in frustration.

"Y/n, I have to go to her! "

Oh no shit Sherlock,  here we go.
