"Tyler was an informant, and he assisted us with a number of operations." Deputy Standall states.

Mia frowns, the door opens Sheriff Diaz enters the room. "We traced a bag-load of illegal guns to him." Sheriff Diaz adds. "Deferred charges in exchange for his help getting guns like that off the street."

"Whoa..." Mia exhales.

"Jesus Christ." Tony whispers.

"It was Deputy Standall's idea, and a good one." Diaz states.

"Look, Tyler put himself in harm's way to help us, and we should be grateful for that." Standall says. "All of us, our entire community is safer because of his sacrifice."

Mia slowly nods her head. "Yes, sir." She says.

"Can we talk to him?" Clay asks.

"No." Diaz replies. "Not just yet."

"Uh--you're not gonna like...tell my mom that I'm here, right?" She asks. "I just...recently came back from the station and she's not really--"

"It's fine, Mia." Standall says. Mia inhales, "Thanks." She sighs.

Clay, Mia, and Tony walk out of the station and Mia chuckles. "So, I was right." She stuffs her hands in her jacket. "And you were wrong." She points at Tony.

"Okay, Okay I get it." Tony nods his head. "But, I just...fuck! Tyler was acting really shady and--"

"Tony, we get it, but...I don't think that Ty's going to really be happy to see us for a while." Mia states.

Mia looks down at her shoes as silence develops between the three friends. Mia starts to laugh, Clay and Tony look at her. "What's wrong?" Clay asks.

"Nothing it's just...Tyler is practically a fucking Superhero!" Mia exclaims. "That's fucking awesome, right?"

Mia stands across from Tyler, she was gnawing on her lower lip. "Did he know anything about Spring Fling? Anything at all?" Tony asks.

"No." Tyler looks at his friends. "Nothing. Alex's dad convinced Diaz that I wasn't violent, just a misguided kid who liked guns too much, and who could help the department." Tyler walks over to the other side of the room.

"So where have you been for the past week?" Clay asks.

Tyler looks at Clay, then Tony, then Mia. Hurt in his eyes. "I had to be deposed and go in front of a judge in secret." Tyler answers. "I needed a break from school...and from my friends."

Mia inhales, "Tyler--"

"No, I told you." He looks at Tony. "I told you that the guns would only trace back to me, and that everything would be Ok." He states. "They wouldn't let me tell you the truth."

"We're so sorry." Mia says.

"They dropped my charges." Tyler states. "Seriously, they...they trusted me." He looks at Clay. "You said from the beginning if we just trusted each other, everything would be Ok."

Clay nods his head, "I did." He admits.

"Shit got complicated, Ty." Tony states.

"But it's not, actually. It's...I mean, all you have to do is have faith in your friends, right?" Tyler looks at them. "You three taught me that. Or did you forget?" He asks.

"We just care about you, Ty." Mia says.

"I thought you said that you didn't want anything to do with us." Tyley says looking at the brunette.

Mia tilts her head side to side. "Good point..." she nods her head. "But...some things, you just can't let go of." Mia states.

She looks at Clay and quickly back at Tyler. "Well, if you cared about me...you would also trust me." He says before walking away from them.

Mia and Clay were walking down the hall together. "How's Justin?" Mia asks, looking at him. "I just...I haven't seen him at any meetings lately, so..." Mia shrugs.

"I think...I think Justin's using again." Clay states.

Mia stops walking, Clay turns to her. "What are you..." Mia nervously chuckles. "What are you talking about?" she grips his arm.

"Mia, he's not working at Monet's anymore and...he comes home late, just...out of it now." Clay explains to her.

Mia exhales sharply, she lets Clay's arm go. The brunette closes her eyes. "Is he...trying to get better?" Mia asks.

Clay opens and closes his mouth a few times. "I...I don't know." he answers.

Mia pulls her eyebrows together and chuckles. "How...how can you not know? You live with him?" Mia asks, crossing her arms and arches an eyebrow.

Clay tenses up, those folded arms and that pointed look, all hell was going to break loose. "Uh...me and Justin, we just don't really talk that much anymore." Clay explains. "I mean...we just both have our own shit going on."

Mia tilts her head, "You're brothers. His shit, is your shit." she growls. She walks past him.

"Wait--where are you going?" Clay calls out.

"To find Justin!"

==========

Mia hears commotion down the hall. She quickly follows the shouting and skids to a stop. She turns to see Diego and Justin fighting. "What the hell?!" She growls. Mia steps forward, but someone grabs her arm.

Mia turns her head and pulls her brows together. "Why do you always try to get involve in other people's messes?" Gwen asks.

Mia looks back at them fighting. "I don't think that I--"

"Hey! Hey! Enough! That's enough, break it up!" The officer runs over to the two students and pushes them aside. "You, back to class." He says to Justin. He turns to Diego. "You, up against the locker!" He shoves Diego against the poker.

"Hey, why just me?" Diego asks.

"I said up against the locker!" He turns Diego around and forces Diego against the locker. He forces Diego's hands behind his back.

"What?" Mia questions.

"Bullshit!" Gwen hisses.

"What the fuck, man? We were just talking!" Justin snaps.

"I said back to class!"

"What the hell?" Diego questions.

"Another fucking Mexican kid starting a fight?" The officer says to Diego.

"Okay, I'm Dominican and what the fuck?" Diego questions.

"Hey, you can't say shit like that." Justin turns the officer around. "Get off hi--"

"Back off!" He shoves Justin back.

Diego shoves the officer off of Justin. The officer pulls his gun out and aims it at Diego. Mia's eyes widen, "No!" She steps forward, but Gwen holds her back.

"Oh, shit! Don't shoot! Please!" Diego holds his hands up. "Put the gun away. I'll do what you want."

"Back up. Back the fuck up!" The officer orders.

He looks at Justin, grips his jacket. "Up against the locker! Against the locker, hands spread." He forces Justin over to the lockers with Diego.

The officer slides his gun back into his holster. He walks over to Diego, turns him around, and pins him against the lockers.

"This is bullshit!" Mia shouts.

"Come on. He didn't do anything, man. Let him go!" Justin snaps.

"LET HIM GO!" Gwen screams.

Jessica and Alex walk over to Mia and Gwen. "Mia, what the hell is going on?" she asks.

Mia motions to the scene, "Look at this crap!" She points.

Jessica looks over at the officer and sees him pinning Diego against the lockers. "Hey, what the fuck?" She calls out.

The officer pulls Digeo away from the locker and slams him against it again.

"What the fuck?!" Mia shouts.

The officer drags Diego out of the area. Jessica quickly follows after the officer. Mia looks at Gwen and sees the anger in her face. "You know, I really hate this world." Gwen growls.

Mia exhales quietly, "You and me both."
