Mia drags Clay into the bathroom. He leans against the wall and slides to the floor. Mia grabs some paper towels and soaks them in water. She inhales a shaky breath and exhales a sharp one. She walks over to Clay and crouches in front of him.

She gently touches one of his wrists and starts to clean at his fingers and face as his heavy breathing fills the bathroom. "Ani left," Clay states, looking off into space.

Mia gnaws on her lower lip. "I'm sorry." She whispers.

"Why didn't you leave?" Clay questions.

Mia bites the inside of her cheek. "Clay...you and Justin...you let me stay at your place when I had no one. And...I'm just trying to be helpful." She gives him a small smile. "Wh-who did this to you?" She asks.

"Diego and your boyfriend, Brett," Clay says, jealously coursing through his veins.

Mia scoffs, "He's not my boyfriend...not anymore." Mia shakes her head. "That's what I get for trying to meet someone new." She chuckles. "I think I'll just stick with the nice guys," Mia says, looking into Clay's eyes.

They both continue to burn their eyes into each others. "What...what happened out there...if you don't mind me asking?" Mia asks, cautiously.

Clay thinks for a second, he trusted Mia, out of everyone...he trusted her. "There was this CPT dummy with blood all over it with an orange jumpsuit..." Clay says, his hands starting to shake as his mind goes back to him thinking Monty was on the field. "I thought...I thought it was Monty...like actually Monty. He was...so cold, crying, afraid, in pain, and I couldn't save him." Clay's voice starts to shake and he inhales deeply.

Mia looks down at his red-stained hands and grips them both. "Hey, Clay...look at me..." Mia whispers. She cups his cheeks, Clay looks back into her eyes. "I get it, okay? I really do." She whispers.

Clay slightly pulls his brows together as he sees the sincerity in her eyes. Mia hears footsteps approaching. She takes her hands off of Clay's face. She sees Justin, "They're looking for you. The cops...they already got Diego and Brett." Justin says, looking at Clay.

Mia's jaw tightens, her anger kicking in. "Where?" She questions. Mia stands up and brushes past Justin. Justin grabs Mia's arm, "Mia hey--"

Mia yanks her arm out of his grip and exits the bathroom. She spots Brett and Diego talking to cops. "HEY!" Mia's voice booms throughout the school hall. Brett turns his head and sees Mia stalk towards them, he saw the furious look in her eyes and he tenses up. "Keep her away from me..." Brett says to the officer. "Keep her the fu--"

Mia punches Brett square in the nose. The officer quickly grabs her wrists and press her against the locker. "YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

"I did a terrible thing. I know I hurt people..." Clay says in a monotone voice, wanting this to be over. "I'd give everything to take it back. I just--"

"Bringing a deadly weapon on campus is usually an automatic expulsion." Jessica cuts off Clay's lousy apology.

"It wasn't even a real knife." Clay retorts.

"Could it really have stabbed someone? Did you really bring it into the dance?" Jessica leans forward.

"It's not like it was even his." Mia defends Clay.

Jessica looks at the brunette. "He still brought it into the dance," Jessica emphasizes.

"These two fucking idiots filled the boy's locker room with blood." Mia points at Brett and Diego.

"Miss Walker." Foundry says in a warning tone.

Mia scoffs, "What the hell am I doing here anyway?" She questions with impatience. "I'm not really the best student."

"Well, you'd had some...trouble the last couple years. But you're grades are phenomenal." Foundry explains.

"Of course they are..." Mia shrugs like it's no big deal. "...But I have better things to do than decide about the senior camping trip. Which they obviously shouldn't be going to." She looks at them.

"Come on, Em--"

"Don't call me that!" She snaps, looking at Brett. "You both are fucking insane!"

"You're calling us insane?! No one freaks out like that over a fucking prank!" Brett looks over at Clay.

"They do if it scarred them you fucking--"

"Mia." Jessica cuts her off.

Mia exhales through her nose. "Doesn't matter. I still say all three of them don't go." She leans back in her seat.

Brett raises his brows, "Wait, Jensen too? I would've thought you wanted to share a tent with him--"

"Oh go fuck yourself!" Mia leans forward, "If you guys do go to the fucking camping trip. You're probably gonna start unnecessary shit, and honestly!" Mia stands up, "I don't need that for my last semester of high school, you blockhead." She looks at everyone in the room as they all stare at her with wide eyes.

"Sorry for the language." She apologizes. She clears her throat and readjusts her jacket. "Shall we take a vote?"

==========

"Well, that was a fucking bust." Mia sighs. Gwen looks over at her, "Dude, dude, dude, dude..." Gwen taps Mia on the shoulder vigorously.

Mia winces in pain, "Dammit, woman!" Mia hisses. The brunette looks forward and groans, "Shit." She whispers as she sees Brett walking towards her.

"Hey, M--"

"No." Mia brushes past him. Brett scoffs and looks at Gwen who has a big smile on her face. "Ha Ha." Gwen chuckles as she catches up to Mia.

Brett turns and jogs over to them. "Hey, I'm just trying to be civil." He grabs Mia's arm. The brunette turns towards him. "You lost the right to be civil with me once you do that shit to Clay," Mia growls. "You get to go to the fucking camping trip, you're lucky." Mia pokes his chest.

"Hey, I fucking did you a favor." Brett steps closer to her.

"Uh--no, no." Gwen pushes Brett back. "I will start swinging if you come any closer to her." Gwen arches a brow at the boy.

Mia slightly lifts her chin. "I swear to God, Brett..." Mia's eyes harden. "...If you even think about messing with Clay during the camping trip. I will fuck you up."

Mia shoves past Brett and walks down the hall. Gwen sends Brett a tight-lipped smile. "Damn..." Gwen shakes her head. "You missed out on such a good girl." She pats Brett on the shoulder and laughs.

Mia lays on her bed, her eyes squeezed shut. "Shut up, shut up, shut up..." She whispers repeatedly.

She opens her eyes again and exhales a quiet whine as she still sees the younger version of herself staring at her. "What. Do you want?" Mia sits, glaring at the younger Mia.

The younger Mia runs a hair through her hair. "I want you to suffer." She whispers. "I want you to feel that pain that you try to push down every day. I want you to...realize that you miss me." Younger Mia gives Mia a tired smile.

Mia slightly pulls her face back and shakes her head. "I-I don't get it..." Mia whispers.

Younger Mia shoves a hand in her sweatpants and roots through it. She pulls out a prescription bottle and Mia tenses up. "What the fuck?" She whispers.

"Don't be afraid." Younger Mia whispers. She holds the bottle out towards Mia. The short-haired brunette stares at the long-haired brunette. "You want me to use again?" Mia questions.

"What do you have to lose?" Younger Mia shrugs.

"Everything!" Mia scoffs. "I-I-I can't...you're--"

Mia's phone vibrates, she gasps quietly and turns to her phone on the nightstand. She looks in front of her, but the younger version of herself was gone. "Bitch..." Mia whispers.

She grabs her phone and looks at the message Clay just sent in the group chat. "No shit!" Mia exclaims.

"Guys, I know every one of you is a good person. You've kept my secrets, and I've kept yours, but we've all done terrible things. I can't live with that anymore. I can't keep looking over my shoulder. I can't live like this. We can't live like this. I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way. Something has to change. Wouldn't it be better for everyone if we just told the truth? We hurt people, and it's time to come clean. If we don't all confess to what we did, I'm going to tell everyone the truth at the senior share campfire."

"Jeez, Jensen's got balls." Bryce says, sitting next to her.

Mia keeps her eyes on her phone and inhales. "Why do you look so worried? It's not like you would get in trouble." Bryce shrugs.

Mia gnaws on her lower lip. She looks at the hallucination of her brother and her lip curls, "Shut up."
