"Nova!" the quiet and breaking voice shouted from besides me as fumes of smoke flooded my eyes and clouded my sight. A sudden break of fire spread around me like a blanket making me hot and exhausted.

But the adrenaline in my veins burned through my body and chose to ignore it. Something else it chose to ignore was the fear stricken voice coming from behind me.

"Nova! What are you doing?!" the shrill and sharp voice called out to me and I turned to see Brandon. The smoke had been subtly washed from his face as tears ran down his face. Instead of answering the question I laughed hysterically and jumped down from my position to where he was.

His breath was hitched in his throat and he pankiced as he ran away from me. I laughed maniacally as he began to back away looking at me with so much trepidation and fright. I didn't care as I felt my powers course through my body I let them explode around me. Looking down I saw Brandon on the floor, wide spread panic all over his face as he touched the side of his face which had a deep cut engraved in it.

"Nova...please.. stop.." he begged and pleaded before I got closer and closer to him feeling my powers once again flood through my body as he looked at me with despair and wretched sorrow closing his eyes and getting ready to feel the pain..

I looked around the room with blurred vision as I realized my head was laced in heavy droplets of sweat. The lucid images of my dream flooded into my head like water as I started to sob lightly into my hands.

I had been consumed in my tears as they rushed down my cheeks as Brandon came into the room. His face filled with worry as he stood at the door but he immediately rushed over once he saw me crying. Repeatedly, he rubbed my back, I shuddered at the images in my mind thinking about what I'd dreamt about doing.

What if they were to become a reality?

I couldn't be able to ever sleep knowing that I hurt these people let alone Brandon.

"What's wrong." He asked in a whisper as I remembered he was beside me.

"No I can't tell you." I said poking my lip out and trying to hold my breath to stop the tears or at least the pain it had cause me.

"You can tell me anything..."

"I..." i hiccuped before I continued looking Brandon in the eyes seeing myself strike him and the look of hurt in his eyes. I realized that I couldn't tell him the truth about my dream, "I had a scary dream..." I said technically not lying.

"Was it about those gummy worms? I told you they weren't going to hurt you." Brandon said with a small laugh.

I urged myself not to tell him the truth but I willed myself to because trust was everything on my planet and I needed his the most, "Brandon. Although I seem happy all of the time people from my planet aren't, they in fact are nothing like me...I'm an outcast on that planet so I left it, I was unwanted. T-they wanted me to be like them. Someone I'm not. And I.. I've tried to be so good but I can't I end up hurting people I love.." I said as I no longer tried to hold my tears inside, they made their way in hasty moments down my face that was buried into Brandon's body.

"You will always be good don't ever think—"

"I hurt you in my dream Brandon." I said sternly catching his attention as his first reaction was brief, he held his mouth open and his eyebrow moved up, not waiting for the other.

"So what?-" he tried to say but I could feel his fear from a mile away.

"You don't mean that. You're scared. You're scared of what I could do to you-"

"No I'm not!" He quickly said.

"You will be!" I warned yelling, trying to be cautious of my own mistakes and flaws knowing that the only one who appreciates it is me, the only one that won't run from me is me. The only one who won't panic and be scared... is me.

"No I won't Nova!" Brandon yelled back with sincerity in his voice as he stood up and got closer and closer to me. I got enraged and infuriated at his ignorance and non acceptance wanting him to stop coming near me.

"Yes you will Brandon! Stay away from me." I said yelling as I instantaneously feeling the jolt of power inside me before I could hear Brandon say,

"I love y-" but by the time I'd heard him say it my powers exploded in a rage around me hearing a thud. It was a quick moment and I hadn't realized what I'd done until I saw Brandon on the floor putting a quick hand to his face as he looked back at it covered in crimson colored blood.

I whimpered at the sight as I stared at the wide gash on Brandon's face. Brandon snapped his head towards me as if he already knew what I was thinking. "Nova.. it was an accident! You didn't mean it!" He shouted after me trying to get up.

Before he could I sprinted out of the room, the clear tears making their way down my face once again. Using my powers I bent the knob of Brandon's door as it shook vigorously.

"Nova! Let me out! Please! Don't go!... you're good!" He shouted desperately but I ignored him because good people don't hurt the ones they love.
