As Inochi started gaining consciousness, she found herself leaning against a tree. She opened her eyes slowly and squinted because it was way too bright.

- "Shit, am I in heaven" Inochi thought while being oblivious that she was still in the park.

- "Umi neechan, are you okay?" Gaara caressed Inochi's cheek with his small hands.

- "Gaara kun, here .. Take this water bottle" Shigeru came running and handed Gaara the bottle from which he sprinkled some water on Inochi.

- "Gaara sama, I am fine" Inochi sat up and looked around. All the kids Gaara was playing with were staring at her with concern." How long was I unconcious for?" Inochi repositioned her scarf and skirt and started looking for her shopping bag.

- "Just a few minutes.." Gaara answered "Maybe 3 or 4"

- "Here Umi neechan" Matsuri and another girl named Sari handed Inochi her bags.

- "Thank you Matsuri chan, Sari chan" Inochi took her bags and looked around. She noticed that the tree she was leaning on was pretty far from where she fainted. "Who carried me to this tree?"

- "It was Gaara chan's sand!" Matsuri and Sari said in unison, in order to appreciate Gaara's skills. "His sand caught your head before it could hit the ground and then it carried you to here" Both of them acted out the whole scene while Gaara stood beside Inochi, blushing at the compliments. The other kids nodded in agreement and praised Gaara.

- "Thank you so much Gaara sama" Inochi gave a warm smile to Gaara who hid away in embarrassment. However, his expression quickly changed when he saw Inochi getting up to leave.

- "Shouldn't you take some rest here Umi neechan?" Gaara said while the other kids looked at Inochi for an answer.

- "I think I got a heat stroke suddenly. I will rest at the residence okay?" Inochi tousled Gaara's hair. "Come back in an hour okay?" Inochi said to Gaara as she left the park.

Inochi staggered through the lanes to the Kazekage Residence. Once she entered the building, she went straight to her room and shut the door. She threw herself onto the bed and pushed a pillow on her face

- "AAAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHH" Inochi let out a hysterical shriek. "NO NO NOOOO!!" Inochi rolled on her bed, stood up and threw every pillow at the wall in front of her. She wanted to beat someone up, to vent out her anger for the blunder she just did. "I am gonna get killed right. That's the only possibility at this point. There is no way in HELL he is going to let this slide" Inochi screamed into a pillow to muffle her voice. She got up and punched the wall in front of her as she couldn't hold her anger anymore. The wall thus broke into numerous pieces and made a huge mess, aggravating Inochi even more.

- "UGHHH....SHIT.... now I gotta clean this" Inochi used her earth style jutsu to build a new wall and hung two curtains to hide the obvious difference in colour of her mud and the previously used golden clay. She cleaned the space and started preparing dinner for the night.

-"I need to calm down first. If anything, whatever happened wasn't my fault, so I shouldn't blame myself. I just need to secure myself right now, and my loved ones" Inochi thought as she continued slicing up the vegetables. "But HOW?" Inochi cut her finger and realised that no matter how hard she tried to, she couldn't stop her hands from shivering out of fear and guilt.

It was the start of the sixth month in Konoha with no Inochi, but the spy mission she left in the hands of Shin, Tenzo and the enigma, Kenta, was going normally. In the previous five months, Kenta was able to send only two letters; the first informing Inochi about the coup, and the second informing her about the level of tension between the Uchiha and the village. Kenta was able to keep an eye on Itachi and Shisui all day long, until both of them would return to the Uchiha compound, which ultimately became the biggest obstacle.

In Kenta's eyes, everything was going smoothly, with the officials trying to come up with plans to stop the coup and Itachi training hard with Shisui, honing his skills. As everything seemed to be fine, Kenta was just following his normal schedule that evening too. He was in pursuit of Shisui, but there was something about him that was very different than the other days.

It was almost night time, but Shisui was travelling quite mysteriously through the trees and hovering just about the Uchiha compound. His changed demeanor piqued Kenta's curiousity.

"Why is he acting so weird. Why wasn't Itachi with him today?" Kenta thought as he looked around Shisui.

In a quick second, he heard the rustling of leaves and just as he turned his focus back to the tree branch, he realised that Shisui had gone out of his sight.

- "What the-" Kenta realised that Shisui used his body flicker technique to escape from there, although he couldn't tell why.

"Shit" The body flicker jutsu doesn't leave any trace of the user, which made Kenta annoyed as he now had no idea to where Shisui suddenly disappeared.

Kenta leapt to the tree where Shisui was standing a moment ago and saw kunais stuck at the bark. "Someone attacked him" Kenta thought as he sniffed the kunais and followed the scent. As he traced down the scent, he saw Shisui standing against Danzo at a clearing between the dense forest that surrounded the Uchiha compound.

Kenta jumped to a closer tree, while hiding his chakra so that none of the two shinobi could find him. "Wait, the scent matches neither of them" Kenta thought. However as he came closer, he saw a group of ANBU members standing just below the tree he was taking cover in. "Ahh so it was them" He put a hand on his mouth by reflex so as to not make any noise. He crouched down on the branch carefully and looked forward to witness what was going on.

- "Is Danzo...fighting Shisui?" Kenta saw the 5 ANBU members almost ready to draw out their swords any moment. "This is not good..." Kenta couldn't hear what Danzo and Shisui were saying, so he produced a mud clone and made it hide itself just beneath Shisui's feet.

- "What is the meaning of this? Why are you getting in my way?" Shisui growled at Danzo

-" Kotoamatsukami.... a visual jutsu that creates false experiences. Such incredible power, but what a waste to use it merely to stop a coup" Danzo said with a straight face. "How unfortunate that an Uchiha doesn't know how to use the sharingan"

Shisui flinched at such an insult to the sharingan and his clan.

- "If you used your visual jutsu on the clan" Danzo continued "as long as the Uchiha clan exists, its highly doubtful that another coup can be avoided"

Danzo still had his members from the foundation backing him up, as if a fight would start anytime.

-"And even if your plan worked, it is only for this instance. There is no guarantee that the same will not happen again"

Shisui was still holding his ground, almost bracing up for any stray attack.

- "On the contrary, it probably will happen again. Sooner or later, the hidden village will have to deal with the Uchiha" Danzo lowered his tone, almost to a hostile one. "If so, exterminating the Uchiha now..." Danzo exclaimed "the future of the village will be secure, don't you think?" Danzo cornered Shisui to give an answer.

- "Danzo" Shisui frowned, almost sensing that the conversation was not going to end well. "You were plotting this, all along.."

Danzo looked up to the sky, and with a solemn tone answered

- "This is all for the sake of attaining true peace for the Leaf" Danzo returned his focus to Shisui, with an evil aura engulfing him. "Shisui...do not worry. I will make good use of your eyes"

Saying this, Danzo lunged at Shisui, with complete intent of killing and stealing his eyes. Shisui took his stance and drew his katana, thus starting a long drawn fight. Shisui's power and skills were matched by Danzo, just as expected from the head of the ANBU.

The ANBU shinobi were ordered not to interfere, as Danzo wanted to win it fair and square, which was a very contrasting order, given his personality of always using unfair means.

- "How persistent you are" Danzo said while catching his breath. "You've earned your reputation as the strongest of the Uchiha" Danzo took a pause. "I suppose I must force an opportunity upon you" Danzo signalled to the ANBU shinobi as they jumped out of the bushes and threw their kunais to Shisui.

- "Oh Shit" Kenta saw this whole fight from up a tree, but realised that he would have to join it.

The mud clone he made before, emerged out of the earth as a complete mud wall and stopped the weapons hurled at Shisui while Kenta attacked the five ANBU shinobi from behind.

- "What is this?" Danzo said in annoyance while cutting through the mud wall to reach Shisui.

Three out of the five shinobi had water style while the other two had wind style chakra. Kenta had earth style and fire style, which if used to the fullest, would have been enough to win against the ANBU. However, changing the chakra nature was not a task that came easily for Kenta, as he was not even human.

Shisui and Danzo continued with their fight as Kenta tried to reach Shisui.

- "Oh to hell with it!!!" Kenta used majority of his chakra in making a mud prison for the ANBU ninjas and rushed towards Shisui's side.

- "Shisui san, duck!" Kenta screamed. "Fire style: Firebeam jutsu" Kenta did the handsigns in a blink of an eye and a beam of fire escaped his lips and thwarted Danzo.

- "Shisui san, we need to get out of here!" Kenta beckoned at Shisui. Shisui who was confused by the sudden interruption, started following Kenta just when he felt a slight tinge in his surroundings.

- "What is happen-" Shisui saw Danzo flash before him, and in an instant took out one of his eyes.

- "What the-" Shisui and Kenta had the same expression on their faces. Kenta noticed his mud prison getting broken so he just took Shisui on his shoulders, used a gas bomb and escaped.

- "How did he even get your eye? He was completely hit by my firebeam." Kenta asked as he let go of Shisui after gaining some distance from Danzo and his ANBU members.

- "He used izanagi, the forbidden jutsu which can alter fate and reality" Shisui said while standing back up and following Kenta to wherever he was leading him to. "Wait, who even are you?" Kenta turned back and took off his shades to reveal his blue eyes to Shisui.

-"Inochi!?" There were only two blue eyed people in the village so it wasn't really hard recognising that it was Inochi. "What happened to your hair. Wait, what are you even doing here???" Shisui's mind was overflowing with doubts.

- "I am a shadow clone that Inochi left to spy on you. And as of now, the situation" Kenta, who was the shadow clone of Inochi looked back to see that they had barely gotten any distance between them and Danzo "isn't really looking appropriate to explain everything"

- "I know, I am sorry-" Shisui was still having a hard time processing all of this. Blood trickled down from his right eye socket as he jumped from one tree to the other, trying to escape the ANBU.

- "There is no time for apologies Shisui san. I don't know if you have any plans right now but I am going to go and buy you some time alright?" Inochi kept looking straight towards the direction she was leading Shisui to.

- "I would advice you to go to Kakashi niisan. I know the Uchihas are planning a coup and that you and Itachi are planning to stop it. But what just happened is bad, very bad. If anything, I just know that niisan would atleast be able to help you fight against Danzo. So please hurry and go to him. Go to the Hokage only when you are sure that Danzo san is not around"

Inochi stopped in her tracks.

-"Go, I will handle this. I can't die so don't worry" Inochi gave a smile before going back in the direction from where they came from.

Shisui saw Inochi's clone readjust the shades and leap towards Danzo and his members.

- "Idiot" Shisui said while continuing with his track "Do you seriously think that you won't be harmed. It doesn't matter where you are, a spiteful man like Danzo will sniff you out and eat you alive" Shisui gritted his teeth, being angry at his own stupidity.

He was holding back during the fight as he did not want to take down an official, and have the Uchiha's name be tainted even more, but instead he made the situation even worse. He was also wondering as to why Inochi's clone was spying on him, but as he came out to the streets of the village, his mind shifted to the last gear.

"I cannot waste my time in this" Shisui went to the training grounds where he knew Itachi would be present.

-"Shisui is that you?" Itachi who was in his ANBU uniform asked as he heard a rustle in the leaves.

- "Follow me" Shisui said without stopping, which made Itachi worried. Without any further delay, Itachi accompanied him to a cliff near the waterfall in Konoha.

Shisui was standing close to the cliff just when Itachi caught up to him.

- "If a civil war breaks out in the Leaf village, other nations are sure to attack" Shisui had his back towards Itachi, still not showing his bloodied face.

- "I was going to try to stop the coup d'etat with Kotoamatsukami, but... Lord Danzo took my right eye" Shisui turned back to look at Itachi. He brought his fingers close to his face "so I want to give it to you before he has a chance" and gouged out his left eye.

-"You are the only one I can count on, my best friend" Shisui handed Itachi his eye. "Protect the village and the Uchiha name"

Itachi closed his eye and summoned a crow, which in turn took Shisui's eye.

- "Alright, I accept it" Itachi said, as a heavy aura surrounded him. His Sharingan activated by himself, as he was too distressed with the turn of events but did not show his emotions. "What will you do now?" Itachi asked as his heavy voice slightly broke.

- "If I die many things will change" Shisui started backing off. "I have left a note"

Itachi suddenly realised what direction he was going.

- "SHISUI WAIT!!" Itachi didn't want to lose his ony companion, his teacher and the only person who understood his pain.

- "Don't try to stop me, Itachi, if you were truly my friend" Shisui held a smile on his bloodied face, as he fell off into the fault.

-"SHISUIII!!" Itachi ran to grab him, but it was too late. He saw Shisui's body falling into the abyss, and felt a tinge in his eyes. "Why" Itachi held his eyes, which now beared the Mangekyo. "What am I supposed to do now". Itachi let out a blood curling scream as tears rolled down his cheeks, almost wetting the ground. It was late, but Itachi did not return home. He spent the night right there, thinking about what things he missed that led Shisui to take such a drastic measure.

- "Who are you?" Danzo asked as he stood face to face with Kenta.

- "It doesn't matter" Saying this Kenta used his earth style to immobilize Danzo. The rest of the ANBU members attacked him but he warded off all the attacks.

While Kenta was facing the five ANBU shinobi, Danzo freed himself and in a swift movement took down Kenta who was already at the last bit of chakra. Danzo then took off Kenta's shades and mask, thus revealing his whole face.

- "I had my doubts, but still I am very disappointed in you, Aoyama" Danzo said as he glared at Inochi's sea blue eyes. Danzo stomped on Inochi's stomach, and whispered in a deadly tone "You will pay for this humiliation with your life, Inochi Nohara" Danzo took out his Katana "And also those of your loved ones" Kenta saw the Katana flash before his eyes as it impaled his already bruised body.

- "It was a clone sir" One of the ANBU members pointed out as Kenta's body vanished after the the impact.

- "Yes, I can very well see that. But-" Danzo turned around to face the ANBU shinobi "there was something different"

- "Sir, I sensed two chakras in the body. I have worked with Aoyama before, and this was not just her chakra" One of the byakugan users informed Danzo. Its impossible to distinguish between a shadow clone and its user with any dojutsu, but any change in the chakra of a person can be identified easily.

-"Hmm" Danzo thought for a bit "First lets head back to the headquarters. I need to talk to somebody who may know about this"

Just as Danzo reached the headquarters, he blasted through the door of room 201 A, that is, the room that was assigned to Inochi for the mission.

- "Lord Danzo!" Shin shot up from her chair in panic.

- "You!" Danzo dashed closer to Shin and glared at her. " What do you know about Aoyama's clone that has been sneaking around in Konoha?"

Shin was frozen for a good second before replying

- "What!?"

This answer angered Danzo even more.

- "Did you and Aoyama share any information during the mission that was not permitted by the ANBU?"

Shin visibly gulped. Her silence was a dead giveaway.

- "Take her! We need to question her"

Shin was too scared to even protest. Her eyes widened as she gave pleading looks to Danzo who had already exited the room.

- "But first, send a group to Suna, to terminate Aoyama. Next, find Shisui and bring him to me, dead or alive. He must have hidden himself somewhere by now, so hurry before we lose him. And third.." Danzo gave his last order too much thought as he was doubtful of it. But as his personality permitted, he went with it anyhow, as he barely cared about other people "Fetch me Tenzo and Hatake Kakashi. Its very possible that the second chakra nature belonged to one of them"

Danzo charged out of the headquarters to his own office as he gave his orders to the subordinates. However, in such a rush, he let his guard down. Tenzo, whom he had ordered to be brought before him, was just standing at a corner and thus heard him. He promptly escaped as he knew what 'methods' Danzo used during any interrogation and did not want to be a part of it again.

-"What the hell did Inochi do, I SPECIFICALLY told her not to get into trouble" Tenzo thought as he escaped to Kakashi's apartment.

-"Wait, they even captured the girl". Tenzo stopped suddenly as he remembered that Danzo ordered Shin to be arrested too.

Tenzo gritted his teeth, as he wanted to stay out of the problem, but his conscience did not let him.

Tenzo was a spy just like Inochi, even better in some aspects. Some of the credit goes to Danzo, as he did shelter Tenzo since he was saved from the hands of a crazy shinobi. Thus, he was moulded into one of the best spies, although not the perfect as Danzo wanted, as soon Tenzo realised the evil intentions Danzo had and thus left his tutelage. Tenzo was once ordered to kill Kakashi and bring his sharingan to Danzo, but he failed. However, that mission changed his views on life as he accepted Kakashi as his teacher. This was also the reason why Inochi was close to him the most, both had similar lives and bonds, no parents, bizarre upbringing, same tutelage and similar profession.

And that was also the reason why Tenzo did not stop snooping around Kenta's identity once Inochi introduced him. He cared about Inochi's safety and did not want a shady person who was receiving his chakra to hurt her in any way. Although he was very busy with his own missions, he did catch Kenta around and about the village twice, and thus spied on him. Beyond of his expectations, he saw Kenta spending time with a girl, which seemed to be a date. And only from there, he realised that the girl, who he later found out to be a analyser for the ANBU was also in on the mission.

- "SHIT" Tenzo backtraced his steps, and went to the prison where the ANBU held its prisoners.

-"A girl like her won't last a minute there". Tenzo knew what the ANBU prison looked like. It was nothing like a normal jail. There was more blood, a perpetual stench of death, and the worst, more insanity.

Tenzo saw that the two ANBU shinobi and Shin were on their way to the prison, which was a bit far from the headquarters. He quietly crouched down on a tree, waiting to attack and free Shin.

- "Aoyama attacked Danzo!?" Shin said in utter shock as she heard the story from one of the ANBU.

- "YES. And please shut up"

Shin started panicking and ranting the moment Danzo left, which annoyed the hell out of the two Shinobi.

- "Oh my god, what is happening. I did not even do anything. Please god help me I am going to die I don't wanna die, god please help" Shin shut her eyes and prayed just when the two ANBU shinobi beside her slipped and got intertwined with twigs and leafs.

- "GOD!?" Shin looked up straight at the night sky.

- "No its Tenzo" Tenzo appeared in front of her and hit her at a pressure point, thus making her unconscious. "But I will make do with God too" Tenzo hoisted Shin on his shoulders and fled to Kakashi's apartment.
