A Dream?

Yeonjun came down in a gaze after seeing his appa on top of his soon-to-be dad, he was shocked, mortified, traumatized you name it.

Yeonjun was sluggishly walking down the stairs, he stared at everyone sitting at the dining table wearing relatively comfortable clothes 

"What happened to you now? Saw a ghost?"

 Yeonjun looked at Jin-Hye who asked him the following two questions just before he was going to answer any of them he heard the tired footsteps of someone coming behind him turning around he just looked at the exhausted look on his appa, ofcourse it was exhausted, he thought and felt betrayed at a certain level.

"Oh uncle, I guess you are exhausted, I am so sorry for the inconvenience uncle," 

Soobin said but the words tasted like bitter coffee without any form of sugar in it to call Jungkook his uncle instead of appa, he really is attached to the idea of having Jungkook as his appa, ofcourse still an idea, Jungkook just got his distant attention when he blew off the air and laughed a bit 

"No, no it was not any form of inconvenience, it is sad that it happened on your special night of turning sixteen" 

Jungkook felt an uncanny and eerie stare and vibe piercing his subconscious continuously and he knew who it was 

"Okay kids, it is really late I guess we can just sleep okay?" 

Jin-hye sprung up on her legs to somehow make a change to the mood by smiling and taking the soft fatherly hands of Jungkook on her own, she felt so homely after a long time 

"I will show you the room where you can sleep for today" 

Jungkook was caught by surprise by the sudden strong pull of Jin-hye who was now guiding him to the temporary one-night stay in her house which was followed by the burning gaze of Yeonjun.

They were standing in the corridor which had two doors, one door closed and another was the guest room, the closed door made Huening a little very curious "Why is this door locked if I may ask?"

"Oh dad said it is room down memory lane, will show it to us when the time comes he said," Taehyun said while fussing with the MP3 player to see all the songs stored in there, Jungkook was curious, what can be in there and who exactly was Seokjin's husband? were the thoughts which rounded up his brain.

"Okay enough of it kids go and sleep, Jin-hye Soobin and Taehyun have a good rest dont worry much about your dad okay?" 

Jungkook said clearing out the silence which prevailed for a moment 

"Uncle Jungkook it is the guest please have a nice stay and hope you may be comfortable in our house our rooms are just across the corridor" 

Jin-Hye pointed at the opposite four doors three of them belonged to the three of the kids and one ofcourse their father "It might not be required maybe you should just go and sleep okay?" he ruffled the kids' hair and all of them departed but not Yeonjun.

"What happened Yeonjun?"

"What happened you really asking me what happened?" 

Yeonjun said in a deliberately low voice 

"Okay Yeonjun he was drunk he just pulled me on top of him and his grasp was strong, dont think anything stupid now, I am never going to leave you, I love you, my boy," 

Jungkook said understanding the dilemma that Yeonjun might be facing, he thought that Yeonjun might think of him leaving his boy and it would never happen, that was the train of deciphering thoughts inside Jungkook's brain but Yeonjun, well for Yeonjun it was all messed up he cannot even comprehend what to think 

"I want to sleep with you" he slowly mumbled nuzzling his head on his appa's shoulder.

Jungkook melted under the touch, Yeonjun is still his baby 

"Ofcourse come inside the burritos my dear" Jungkook said which was followed by an annoyed huff from Yeonjun but an adoring smile on his face.

Jin-hye's breath shortened, and beads of sweat were accumulating on her forehead, she was heaving trying her best to respire, it was clear she was having a nightmare something which dug deep into her memory lane.

She felt like drowning in the dark, in the abyss she felt she was falling, she felt her lungs shut down, and her body freezes.

She felt her body go into a state of paralysis until she just flew open her eyes perspiring taking in air as much as she can by taking deep breaths and calming down her raging heart, she doesn't vividly remember what the dream was but it was relatedly to her appa for sure, she saw his face clearly.

Getting out of her sheets she walked downstairs just to freshen herself with a glass of water but suddenly felt so heavy for her, her steps, the surroundings, her eyes, and every entity around her felt different 

"Jin-Hye, dear! Hear me I am your Appa!" 

She heard the voice again same as in her dream turning around she saw the glowing silhouette of Taehyung, she choked a sob catching a beautiful image of her appa whom she just spent the 4 years of her life 

"Aigoo, see my daughter grew up to be a 16-year-old now, how much did I miss hun?" the voice resonated like a rhythm through her ears soothing all the dreariness she felt "Appa is that you?" she said in a hushed tone.

Jin-Hye saw her appa nodding with the most gentle smile one can have on their face, just as she remembers 

"Is that really you?" 

She felt a string of tear fall on her cheeks she also felt the sensation of someone wiping them off 

"Is it allowed for my daughter to cry when I am there huh? Stop crying sweetpea I am here" 

She heard her appa's voice again, again that sweet nickname which was given by her appa, she felt her heart racing more than ever not because she was scared but because she was overwhelmed with excitement 

"You are doing great Jin-Hye just remember that make sure Seokjin dates Jungkook sweetpea, they both are meant for each other, you may not know now but you will just do what you are doing stop doubting yourself okay my little sweetpea?"

Jin-hye felt a big boulder out of her heart, she was indeed doubting herself, telling herself to not go into any adversaries to make her dad date but here her appa is signifying something so it actually meant something right? 

"Sweetpea, I have to go now, never doubt what you will do I will always be by your side, make sure to let that asshole date Jungkook okay?" suddenly everything changed, it is as if the background of a theatre twisted, and turned to change the dreary road she remembered where her appa died.

Jin-Hye saw Taehyung stepping back and back not stopping his steps even when he could see the flashlights of the car just meters away from him, Jin-hye screamed, she couldn't do anything, she felt her legs paralyze but her eyes wide open still she saw the kind smile on her appa's face 

"Appa dont go! Don't!" she screamed again, she was frustrated and blemished to be able not to move and just save her appa she just stood there crying and screaming at the top of her lungs but nothing changed, the car crashed with the body of Taehyung with blood splattering all over the place.

Jin-Hye screamed falling down on her knees and holding her head crying until she felt the kitchen lights turn on.

A hand on her shoulder someone embracing her in a warm hug which she immediately melted into, she felt it was her dad, but the nightmare couldn't just get out of her mind, the talks with her appa just couldn't seem to get out of the cage of her bony skull she felt her breath shorten at the last scene of her nightmare 

"Jin-Hye shh, I am here, take deep breaths, okay, dad is here for you, stop crying sweetpea I am here, shh take deep breaths to calm down, I am here okay?"

"Was it all a dream?" Jin-hye muttered before closing her eyes to just see darkness surrounding her.

A/N:- okay writing the part of Jin-Hye seeing Taehyung was really overwhelming as Jin-hye felt here because I thought I was in her place (Dont worry I dont see nightmare of anyone nor anyone in my family died so..) I felt my heart sinking with each word and felt sooooo overwhelmed you cant believe, I wrote this chapter as the last before ACTUALLY going to a hiatus please read it and lets meet again in April?
