　　Princess Rhaela Targaryen is the third born child of King Viserys I Targaryen and Queen Alicent Hightower. Her sister Rhaenyra was considered "The Realm's Delight" well before her birth, but the younger princess did not fall short of the elder sister's reputation. Due to her love for the people and the willingness of charity and kindness, the princess is known by all of King's Landing's particularly impoverished residents as the kindest of the king's children.

The Seven Kingdoms has remained peaceful under the rule of Viserys, but his physical ailment has not gone unnoticed. Particularly, the lords that which serve him are uneasy with the decision he has held in place for quite sometime — to have the Princess Rhaenyra as his heir. With many of the lords and nobles unsettled with the idea of having a woman sit on the iron throne, a storm has been brewing just beneath the surface.

Once her father dies, the princess is left broken. As if to make matters worse, her mother took it upon herself to have her brother Aegon crowned as king, while Rhaenyra remained as the rightful heir. A young woman herself, Rhaela finds herself forced to choose between sides: the greens, her siblings and mother that she'd known her entire life, or the blacks. Rhaenyra. Rhaela finds herself torn once the occasion arises that steady idleness can no longer spare her time.
