𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙇 𝙇𝙄𝙁𝙀 !

TALIA HAD BEEN rushing around for the past hour and a half, her bedroom looked like a war zone. Clothes and shoes were scattered across the carpeted floor as she tried to find a cute outfit for tonight. The raven-haired girl remained excited for tonight, finally being able to go to a party without feeling the weight of procrastinating from her music weighing on her consciousness. Talia was ready to get drunk as hell with her boyfriend and friends by her side.

Things between her and Luke had been pretty great lately, while they both had been pretty busy, they always seemed to make time for each other. Even if they ate leftover takeout at 12am it was perfect in her eyes, solely because she was by Luke's side. It had been quite a long time since she's felt something like this, a feeling of warmth rested in her chest meeting his big blue eyes. They gave her comfort, happiness, as she went on with her day.

She knew they were in their honeymoon phase and she hoped it wouldn't end. She prayed they wouldn't crash and burn like all of her other relationships. Talia often struggled with her partners getting jealous of everyone she hung around with. They always thought she was messing around on the side, but they forgot that Talia was a naturally flirty person. If there was one thing they should've realized about Talia, was that she's more than loyal.

She could never imagine cheating on her significant other. Talia felt so lucky that Luke had excepted that side of her fully and doesn't think twice of her comments. And she especially loved to say them to Luke, her heart felt so full seeing a small blush bloom on his perfectly sculpted cheeks when she said something not so innocent. With Luke she felt so happy, like he was a missing puzzle piece that she couldn't find. Her life just feels picture perfect with him and the boys as an addition. How she lived without them before, she can't remember.

Talia hummed a soft tune as she applied the final touches to her make up look, feeling her eyelashes become slightly heavy from the false lashes she applied a few minutes ago. She gazed around the mess she created but didn't worry about cleaning it up, knowing she would have time to do it tomorrow. The room was quiet, nothing but the soft buzz of her ceiling fan blowing around was heard. The girl jumped at the noise of her phone buzzing on her vanity. Scooping it up, a dopy grin plastered itself on Talia's face seeing it was a text from Luke.

I'm leaving my house now,

Talia bit her lips instantly as she typed out her response, having the strongest urge to mess with her boyfriend.

THE MUSIC WAS lightly heard floating throughout the midnight air as Talia and Luke make their way to Ashton's front porch. Luke sent a few people Talia didn't recognize friendly greetings as he kept a tight grip on Talia's hand, dragging her along with him. She sent a few of them a sweet smile as they acknowledged her with a small nod. She was rather excited to get this night going, with a quick glance to Luke who was already looking at her, she was able to drag him away from the stranger he was talking to.

He wrapped a comforting arm around her shoulders as he lead her through the house. Talia felt comfort from the touch, feeling her slight anxiety wash away, knowing that he was right by her side. A random AC/DC song was blasting throughout the house, causing Talia to bob her head lightly to the beat of the song. She saw greeting smiles be sent their way as they trudged through a few people.

"Love,"

Talia's attention snapped away from the decor of the living room to the bright blue eyes of her boyfriend. She raised her eyebrows in question, "hm?"

Luke's left hand gripped tighter against her waist as he pulled Talia closer to him so she could hear him better. "You wanna go get a drink?"

The black-haired girl sent him a soft smile, "Lead the way bubs,"

The tall man soon was dragging her through the house, Talia eyes scanning her surroundings as she was interested about Ashton's place. Luke's hand never left hers, afraid that she would slip away and go off on her own. Tonight, he felt a little more protective of her than usual, mostly because he knew she wasn't in a familiar environment. He knew Talia was nervous in situations like this, so his plan was never to leave her side, or at least until she was comfortable enough to be around everyone else.

Walking into the kitchen, a smile was instantly spread on Talia's cheeks seeing as boys resided around the kitchen island. Michael's eyes snapped up watching the couple saunter in. He practically dropped the solos cup he was holding onto the counter, "Talia, my child,"

A loud snort escaped the girl in question, eyes filled with amusement watching Michael come bounding to her, "Hi Michael,"

The girl was soon ripped away from her boyfriend, Michael immediately wrapped an arm around her shoulder, "I'm so glad you're here, I've been bored out of my mind,"

"Hey," Ashton and Calum instantly called out in offense, only making a soft laugh escape Talia.

"I'm kidding," Michael rolled his eyes at his friends, but once the two turned their attention to an approaching Luke, he unsuspectingly leaned down to Talia, "I wasn't kidding,"

"I know I'm the light of the party Michael, you don't even have to tell me," Talia quipped back, patting Michael's chest lightly before walking to Luke's side.

Talia found herself listening to the words Calum was spewing to Ashton, as soon as Luke realized she was by his side, an arm was wrapped around her waist pulling her closer to him. A bright bloom of crimson never failed to flush her cheeks when he was touchy in public. He had been the first of her boyfriends to do that. While they often held her hand, they never went more than that, but Luke was different. He didn't care about the stares, he held her hand, kissed her, did everything that the ones before him didn't. She couldn't be more grateful.

"Talia what can I get for you?" Ashton questioned politely, pulling the short girl out of her thoughts.

She gave the man a kind smile, "Rum and coke, if you would be so kind Sir,"

Ashton snorted, soon sending her a joking wink, "You got it sweet cheeks,"

Small laughs rung around the island at the words, Talia rolled her eyes at the name, recognizing that he was calling her by the name they have her as in the group chat. "Shut up sea bass,"

The boys sent her amused looks at the comment, and it wasn't long before a drink was placed in Talia's grateful hands. The girl took one sip, feeling the slight burn of the alcohol as it traveled down her throat. She stayed silent listening to the words of Calum as he began bickering with an annoyed, slightly drunk Michael about something she had never heard of.

A new song flowed throughout the house making Talia perk up in excitement, she placed her drink on the kitchen island, "I love this song, come on Luke we have to go dance,"

The boys conversations ceased, slightly surprised at the exclamation, sending Talia a look, "Luke is an awful dancer and not to mention he hates dancing," 

Talia rolled her eyes at Michael's words, "Well Michael, hate to break it to you he dances with me all the time,"

Michael gasped loudly, eyes filled with offense, "Luke, you dance with her and not me?"

Luke sighed, sending his girlfriend and Michael a look, "Talia doesn't take no for an answer,"

"As I should, now let's go dance before my jam's over," Talia remarked, soon dragging off the tall man, a large, dopey smile plastered on her face as she was going to the make shift dance floor that was created in Ashton's living room.

The three boys watched fondly as their best friend looked completely blissed out as Talia wrapped her arms around his neck to pull him closer. They could see the small laughter that fell off the man in waves at something the girl in front of him said. It wasn't hard to see that the blond Australian was head over heels for the girl in front of him. With the bright and fiery energy that Talia radiated, any person would be stupid to not want to be around her. And Luke was lucky enough to have her heart.

The boys were ecstatic to see their best friend finally happy and was with someone that could love him correctly. They knew Talia had baggage but she was perfect for their best friend. They had never seen Luke light up the way he does when he looks at Talia. The girl gave the boys hope, knowing Luke would get cared for.

"Talia's perfect for him," Michael piped up, watching Luke jokingly spin the short girl as she laughed brightly.

Calum nodded in agreement, "Thank the lord we don't have to deal with his clingy ass anymore,"

"What would we do without Talia?" Ashton quipped, soon sipping on his drink.

Michael sent the guys a knowing look, "Probably kill Luke,"

"Probably,"

꧁⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯꧂

THE ROMANO GIRL was beginning to finally feel the impacts of the amount of alcohol that was thrumming through her small body. A giggly drunk attitude flowed through her veins, a goofy smile was plastered on her face, as she remained attach to Luke's hip. The man felt content with the closeness of the girl, slightly drawing random shapes across the skin of her back. Her legs were thrown across Luke's lap as the two were sitting on Ashton's couch along with the a bunch of Luke's friends.

Talia was a little exhausted from her day, but she played it off wonderfully, not showing any ounce of tiredness. Talia fingers were fidgeting with the rings that were splayed on Luke's fingers, sometimes dipping down to trace random patterns on his palm.

"Talia I can't believe this is the first time we've met,"

The words from Michael's fiancée Crystal caught her attention. Her eyes wavered from Luke's hand up to the older woman. Talia sent her a knowing smile, "I'm surprised it took this long, I've been telling Michael I've been wanting to meet you for so long,"

"You're so cute stop," Crystal gushed, soon slapping Talia leg lightly, "But I'm so glad we've finally met,"

Talia smiled brightly, feeling excited that people in Luke's life are happy that she's around, "I'm glad too,"

Before anymore words can be exchanged between the two, Talia's phone began buzzing incessantly. The girl sent the older woman an apologizing glance before she pulled her phone out of her back pocket.

Talia's mouth twisted in annoyance watching her notifications fill with incessant texts from David. She could feel Luke's eyes peaking over her shoulder watching the texts come rolling in.

"Tal what's up?"

The girl sighed, sending him a weary look, "Oh just David's harassing me again, saying that it's an emergency,"

"An emergency?" Luke repeated questioningly, giving Talia a glance of confusion seeing no trace of panic on her face. "Why aren't you freaking out?"

"The last "emergency" David had was when he couldn't find his camera, and then proceeded to text me until I came over and had help him,"

"Well what if it's a real emergency this time? Shouldn't you go check it out?"

Talia sent him a teasing look, "Why bubs, are you trying to get rid of me?"

With slightly wide eyes, Luke immediately shook his head in a slight panic, "No, no not at all, I just don't want you to regret not going if something actually happened,"

Talia internally groaned, her body falling back to land softly against Luke's. She knew he was right, but the way he was holding her made her want to never leave his touch. He softly smiled at the action, soon placing a light kiss onto her hairline. "I don't wanna go to fucking David's,"

The man sighed, slowly intertwining their fingers together, "I know Sweetheart, but you'll feel better going and see what's going on,"

Talia turned to playfully glared at him, "I hate that you're right,"

"I always am," Luke hummed, feeling Talia jokingly elbow him from the comment, but he ignored it, "Do you need a ride?"

Talia shook her head, "I'm okay bubs, I'll just get an Uber, you should stay here,"

Luke raised his eyes brows questioningly, "Are you sure Tal?" 

The girl nodded her head quickly, "Of course, have fun, I'll talk to you tomorrow, okay?"

He sighed lightly, not wanting her to go, but he knew she had too, "Yeah, I'll call you,"

A bright smile stretched across her face, soon grabbing Luke's cheeks and pulling him down for a soft kiss. The kiss was over before he knew it, he tried to chase after her lips but she had already separated from him. She tried to ignore the pout that was etched onto his lips while her hands lightly ran through his hair. "I should go say goodbye to the guys before I go, I'll know they'll be all dramatic if I don't,"

Luke nodded eyes fitted on her face, with hands still tightly wound around Talia's waist, "Okay Baby,"

The girl chuckled, knowing Luke had yet to let go, "Lu, I can't go say goodbye unless you let go of me,"

"Oh right,"
