ok i was gonna write a one shot for a security breach series (yes series like 5 whole books) idea i got and I'll probably still do that another day, but for tonight i have decided not to because im exhausted

(im on a semi-normal sleep schedule can yall believe that?? i got to bed at midnight-1am now instead of 7am because i have 2 morning classes lol)

anywayszzszzz!!!! instead of the oneshot ive decided to write out all my headcanons for the timeline/characters of security breach!! one thing i love about the game is that despite it being so different from the rest, it still manages to be so vague about the lore and still allows the fanbase to put together the pieces themself

like fnaf 1 came out nearly a decade ago and the fanbase still sometimes cant decide on a solid timeline for everything (though i think we've managed to narrow it down to some similar ones at least)

so the following is what i whole heartedly believe about security breach's timeline for the time being + some bonus headcanons about how i believe the animatronics may have acted before vanny/burntraps influence

all in the form of unprofessionally worded bullet points bc once again im tired

(im definitely using these headcanons in like every security breach fic i may write bc im of course right and super correct as always of course definitely)

TIMELINE FIRST!

- the mega pizzaplex opens! my theory is that after help wanted released, enough people fell for it that they were like "aight bet here's a whole mall give us money"

- bc there's actual ppl behind all this. as far as i know no one knows about william aftons influence in the code and all that. i especially doubt anyone knows about the possessed abimatronics too besides ppl actually apart of the plot (henry, Michael, etc.....)

- OKAY ANYWAYS

- its in my belief that the original glamrock band consisted of freddy, bonnie, chica, and roxy.

- foxy was never apart of the original glamrock band (maybe because they wanted to make it more 'balanced' since yknow its not the 70s anymore and so they wanted to add another female band member). bc of this they made sure to place plenty of foxy art around the pizzaplex, and even gave him his own attraction/area (pirates kid cove that's next to monty golf)

- they also knew that just the band wouldn't be enough to keep people coming again and again to visit, especially since 3/4 of them are just reimagined versions of old band members ppl have seen several times, so they added plenty of other things for opening

- they added a huge arcade, seen over by the new DJ Music Man. they added Montgomery Gator ("Close friend of the Glamrocks!") and his minigolf course. and of course they added the daycare with new Daycare Attendant, Sun

- speaking of the daycare, i like the idea that its not just like.. a one time thing? if that makes sense? like i like the thought of parens being able to buy a "Seasonal Daycare Deluxe Pass", or something along that line, and with it they can drop off their child every day while they're at work. yknow like an actual daycare! fazbear industries would rlly be fumbling the bag if they didn't do that imo

- just imagine this child that comes in every day and is always so fucking excited to see his best friends Sun and Moon and then one day comes where he doesn't show up (idk out of town or smth) and Sun just looses his shit. Like a sobbing mess

- im getting off track this is more character headcanons hold up lol

- the pizzaplex was an instant hit, of course. it had been rlly smart of them to add all these varying attractions, because it seems as if all age groups come to visit, not just children begging their parents to take them

- when children are at school the pizzaplex is filled with teens skipping school and adults genuinely interested in it all. or parents come to the pizzaplex, spend money to dump their kids in the daycare w Sun, and then go on a date night and spend more money

- after a few months (i wanna say a bit less than a year actually bc i said so) or so with no incidents (besides the basics like kids scrapping their knees), a new security guard is hired

- vanessa has been a part of fazbear industries for awhile. in fact, she was one of the beta testers for help wanted and worked IT. this doesn't change the fact that she has no experience being a security guard and they really don't recommend it. but this recommendation comes from the tippy top of the chain and there's nothing they can do. at least vanessa is passionate about her job despite her anxieties that sometimes peek through

- when vanessa gets hired is when things begin getting wonky, though nobody around her makes that connection and they never will

- glamrock bonnie is a pretty positive and boastful guy (er... animatronic), and he's proud of his place as the bassist in the band. its pretty upsetting to see how he seems to get so cracked and dirtied so easily, and how in the mornings he can be found in odd places and so disoriented. he apologizes profusely each time, and each time he explains he doesn't remember how he got there.

- none of the mechanics can figure out what is going on with him. he seems to be withering faster and faster each time they fix him. he's tired and not even his friends can explain what is going on w him

- one day bonnie is seen on the cameras staggering into monty golf, withered more than ever. he disappears without a sound or a struggle, and he is never seen again.

- ok why am i being vague. srry igot too into it idk why im wording this so weird

-my POINT is that i don't rlly believe monty killed bonnie. freddy seems to truly care about monty and i think there would be more animosity between them if monty like murdered his bff lol.

- this isn't my own original idea but i watched a video by superhorrorbro on it, and basically his idea is that william wanted to do some testing on his 'possession' of the bots before he put his whole plan into motion (yknow reviving himself using their power), so he decided to test this using bonnie and that is why bonnie is missing

- i personally like this idea like so much bc its kinda symbolic... yknow william afton being trapped in the withered suit of the very first version of bonnie, using the last version of bonnie as the beginning to the end. if that makes sense. that and i refuse to believe monty would kill my bestie 4 the restie .

- anyways bonnie fucken dead

-since he just like disappeared into thin air they arent able to help him in anyway nor rebuild him (not only is it a ton of money but it would also be pointless. they cant bring back his stored memories and experiences)

- a year in and the glamrocks are down a member. a vital member who the guests adore and who all the animatronics love even more. freddy fazbear has lost his right hand man. the show must go on though.

- the pizzaplex is closed for a week so that every one can mourn. well, not really, but they don't think the glamrocks would be able to perform anyways. staff spend the week tirelessly replacing all art of bonnie besides what is in the museum sections. really the only thing that is kept is Bonnie Bowl because it would be too expensive to replace a whole attraction (and anyways who knows... profits may go up as more ppl visit bonnie bowl as a way to honor him) ***i swear im not sick and twisted like this but capitalism ykniw

- Monty is the new bassist (not like he had a choice), and despite their fresh grief the glamrocks welcome him

- the only person to see this as a dub is of course william afton. his tests with bonnie was a success, and so was his manipulation of vanessa . knowing that it all can work he bides his time waiting for the perfect moment

- in my opinion awhile passes. cause in the game freddy talks to Gregory about bonnie in very past tense. like if someone recently passed you wouldnt say "they loved me" you'd say "they love me" cause it takes awhile for it to sink in. trust me my moms dead (IRWABGOERVP9IWRBVBRVIBWRVB )

- i have no idea exactly how long though. let's go with erhhnmm uhhhhhh hehehhhuuuhuuuu TWO YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 that is completely out of my ass

- so 3 years since the plex has opened

- during this time ol will has been solidifying his control over vanessa/vanny. he needs vanny to get into the pizzaplex's systems and he needs the pizzaplex's systems to control the staff bots and he needs the staff bots for their power because how knows if just the animatronics power will be enough?! he's one old ass man!

- the closer 'doomsday' approaches, the worse everything gets.

- staff bots keep disappearing or showing up absolutely trashed. chica keeps eating beyond her limits. roxy keeps wrecking her raceway in one specific spot. monty suddenly starts trashing his room worse and worse. freddy keeps malfunctioning. moon is getting more aggressive and its scaring the shit out of the kids during nap time!

- worst of all, more and more kids seem to go missing, with their last sightings being at freddy fazbear's mega pizzaplex.

- roxy raceway closes very abruptly during an emergency with the weird sinkhole in the racetrack and vanessa is the one to investigate it (this is important for smth else)

- finally doomsday arrives.

- freddy has an especially bad malfunction on stage after spotting something odd in the crowd and triggering a threat detected (no fr look at the opening sequence its so weird why tf did he detect a threat). this malfunctions gives a good excuse for the plex to close for several days so that they can fix up freddy

- william's plan to reanimate is put into motion. and then some lame ass boy ruins everything and causes him to die AGAIN (:

- but WHY WAS FREDDY NOT INFECTED BY WILLIAM LIKE LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE PIZZAPLEX?????????????????????????????

- well i 10000% believe in the michael afton theory!

- this theory says that during one of his encounters with vanny (most likely when he and his bandmates were taken into the sinkhole where the other pizzeria lie-- this is why i mentioned roxy raceway), freddy fazbear was possessed by michael afton who had died in the fiery remains of the same pizzeria that lay under the mall. this is why he's so prone to helping gregory (redemption for forcing death upon his younger brother), and why he was able to resist possession of william afton (he would know his dads tricks the best)

- this theory makes my pussy wet its so good one of the best theories in the fandom imo.

- i like the idea though that michael is sorta dormant though. freddy still is in control of himself, yet even more humanized. as the night with gregory goes on, michael wakes up more and more until they face off against burntrap. like he's only there to make sure his dad wont get away w this and that this child who reminds him of his baby brother is safe. now he can finally rest in peace (though i doubt he leaves freddy, maybe goes dormant again)

- ok end of timeline. ik this was messy and prolly not much sense im tired

BUT CHARACTER HEADCAONS LETJS GOOOOOOO

STAFF bots (they are adorable idgaf)

- staff cleaner bots had always been there, but the security bots didnt appear until after bonnie disappeared. human security guards hadn't been enough to keep him safe so in their failure these new measures were implemented

- that's rlly the only one i got ummmmmmm

- EVERYONE LOVES THE WET FLOOR SIGN BOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so much so that sometimes they'll place them nowhere near wet floors just so guests can wave and smile at them

- map bots have been punched countless times by guests who got scared a lil too much. roxy smacked the head off of one that scared a kid so bad they started crying (she got scolded a lot for that one)

Monty! lots bc of monty brainrot srry

- i always see monty being portrayed as a sorta aggressive character. it makes sense because of his portrayal in the game and the fact he's an .... alligator lol

- and while its hot i DONT think that would be the case for the most part

- a lot of the ingame art portrays monty with half lidded eyes and sorta slumping over, kinda like a cartoonish version of a stoner lol. bc of this i think he'd be more laid back and chill

- like... cmon..... his attraction is literally mini golf. what the HELL is more laid back than mini golf

- he can still get excited of course, he's chill but not the apathetic type of chill. rock n roll and all that (he can get a bit carried away during shows)

- he was also made for the moms if u know what i mean hahahhahaha MILFS!!!!!!!!!!!! considering he wasn't apart of the band at first and his attraction is mini golf (aka not the most exciting thing to a lot of kids), i like to imagine he was intended for an older audience at first (teens but more importantly MOMS)

- bc of this he's a FLIRT!! not super in ur face or persistent or anything like that, but winks and waves and slipping his tail across ur legs. maybe a lil sly comment or compliment here and there. and ONLY for guests that are registered as 18 years andolder!

- he also likes to do some friendly teasing but that's a thing he doesn't rlly do with guests. he only does it with those he knows well.... so the other animatronics lmfao

- UMMMMM DID NOT MEAN TO STAY UP THIS LATE ITS 430AM !!! i will finish this thruout tmrw in between hw assignments but this is fun so far and everything i say is canon
- IM AWAKE NOW AND NOT DOING HW UNTIL IM DONE W THIS back to monty :D

- kids LOVE to hang onto his tail. they swing off it like a monkey bar, they sit on it like a sled, they hang onto the end and let themselves get dragged across the floor. his favorite games to play with the kids involve his tail. there's "Tail Tag" where he runs from kids as they try to catch his tail, or there's the one where he tries to see which kid he can fling the highest. his favorite one though is the one kids don't know about, where after one grabs his tail he pretends he doesn't notice them and continues on throughout the plex with them giggling across the floor lol

- and u know how in his boss fight how he was swinging offa that cart above the catwalk? i like to think that sometimes when people are in those playing the game he jumps on the side of their cart and helps them out a little. he's told not to bc of safety issues but the kids absolutely get a kick out of it (after they get over their initial fright of his sudden appearance) so of course he doesn't stop

- he DEFINITELY slaps his sunglasses onto the face of any crying child!!!!!!!!! "No time for that when you're a rockstar, kid!" he cannot stand to look at anyone crying, kid or not

- i don't think he knew how to play the bass at first. if he wasn't meant to be part of the band then why would they program him to know the songs and the bass. like u don't see sun whipping out a keytar and shredding that shit.

- so when bonnie goes missing they simply put the programming in monty to do all this new stuff. it overwhelms him at first, and he's too hesitant to touch the shiny new bass they placed in his room. he was friends with bonnie, they often went bowling or played golf together ("Hey, they gave us the two old man attractions so we gotta stick together!")

- just like bonnie he's a prideful person so he's proud that they chose him to be in the band, but at the same time he's nervous his other friends will despise him for "replacing" bonnie

- they don't. theyre all just a bit sad (no mechanics are able to explain how they can be sad but they are)

- montys new programming was a rush job so there are a few unintentional gaps in some of the chords he has to play or some dance choreography. he feels embarrassed by it (he pretends he doesn't care), and after a few of these he gets pretty pissed

- freddy is the first to put on a brave face, and through his grief he helps monty figure out when his cue is

- bonnies solo is what he practiced the most. he wanted to get it exactly right in order to honor him

Roxy!!!!!!! <333333

- first of all and most important she is a LESBIAN.

- i like when people write her as being slow to accept new people so yeah

- BUT i don't like when they make her an absolute bitch who makes fun of you just to uplift herself. u can be the most confident person on earth without calling someone else a stinky fat whale ass dookie looking hoe.

- roxy wouldn't compliment often but she also wouldn't insult u unless its for fun friendly teasing

- as we all know beauty is important to her. i imagine her being kind of like asami sato in lok. looking absolutely flawless while she tears up the racetrack.

- we also know she has a salon, so the CUTEST THING SHEJROFABWOERUGBOUWABGRERWBOGRWB

- she definitely goes into the salon sometimes just to paint kid's nails herself and style their hair (no one knows it better than her after all). no complimenting doesn't come often, but you can bet that when a young girl looks at her new haircut with unsure and watery eyes roxy will pull with the "Wow, I did a fantastic job. You look perfect, rockstar."

- roxy likes to think that any nail color or art suits her. she is the only animatronic that actually has permission to let kids alter her look, though it's only for her claws. she's allowed to let kids take any nail polish or markers to her claws.

- the most common thing a child will do with her claws is take black nail polish and sloppily draw a smiley face or heart on them, and its her favorite. her least favorite time of the day is when its time for the maintenance workers to clean her fingers off

- her and Monty tussle often. not necessarily is it violent or out of anger, more like when ur sibling will just walk up and put u in a headlock for no reason so u have to wrestle them

Chica :DDDDD

- also a lesbian but she probably is less strict w it. like roxy would refuse to kiss a guy if it was his dying wish but chica would kiss anyone just for funsies

- she is also the only animatronic that can actually eat. the others MAYBE have a few taste sensors in case a birthday boy shoved his vanilla cookie creme swirl triple stacker deluxe birthday cake in their mouth, but nothing like chica

- she has an actual food compartment where the food goes that's easy to reach thru her chest cavity

- and shes not really supposed to eat much.... just enough to encourage ppl in mazercise, but of course she doesn't listen to her limits bc she LOVES food (me 2 girl snackin rn) . after shes hit her compartment limit she can get a bit sluggish, her power can drain quicker, and if she REALLY eats too much.... she'll barf it all up . she DONT care though!

- there's actually a section in the contracts when buying a bday party that if chica is present u have to let her have some of ur pizza LMFAO (she tries her hardest not to take from the bday kids pizza tho)

- when kids get lost or whatever chica is always the first choice to track them down and guide them back to safety. i like this idea because she seems to have the most lines like this in the game! and besides freddy she is the friendliest, PLUSSSS since her thing is food she would def lure kids out with candy or pizza and kids are vaccums so they would def fall for it

- if a guest in mazercise gets self conscious about their weight she'll pick them up like they're a piece of paper and hug them tightly

- he hates parts and service )): after seeing bonnie having to be repaired so many times and it never helping him, he grew to really fear the place. that's why he freaked out so bad when vanessa left him in the cylinder with his head off

- all band members are required to know the history of fazbear entertainment. freddy knows about all other versions of him and he tries not to think about them. there's so many.... is he really his own person? (inspired by his existential crisis with the endos)

- chica is always the one to help him with these worries. shes the one that been with him after all, through every version of freddy (she wasn't in sister location but there's still a funtime chica so I'm counting it). "I know we share their name, Freddy, but I bet they're a lot different! Roxy wouldn't let me wear that ugly bib after all!"

- freddy is the suffer in silence type 100%. when bonnie 'died' he was comforting his friends, when he glitches he apologizes over and over to the mechanics and assures them he's ok.

- he has a small figure of bonnie kept hidden in his vanity. he's not supposed to have it bc they got rid of all bonnie merch but he couldn't handle handing it over. its the only time he's ever lied to an employee before gregory

- this is more of a general one about all the band members but i fucking love their teeth. like they're actually teeth its so sick . kids for some reason are so enamored by the teeth that they do the most out of pocket shit like stick their grubby hands in their mouth to fondle their teeth

- everyone else always spits their hands out, but freddy will only chuckle nervously and continue holding them as they pull at his fangs

DJ MUSIC MAN :]]]]]]

- i despised him at first bc of how genuinely creepy his bit was but he's grown on me

- he seems like such a sweet man to me. freddy is not the definition of gentle giant. DJMM IS!!!

- he's mute. he wasn't built with any voicebox or speakers or ANYTHING. 100% mute, man cant even grunt. does he care though? HELL NO

- he communicates through his music and he loves his music. hes a humble guy, but if you ask him he will find a way to tell u that he prefers his music shows over the glamrocks lol

- bc hes mute he knows asl. he don't use it often, but if he notices a kid with hearing aids or a kid that doesn't seem to react to the noises around them, he'll greet them with some asl

- they honestly probably hadn't thought his size through. they had planned on him not only being the DJ of the dance floor, but also some sort of helper that would go around the arcade and help kids with games theyre struggling with and other things

- he tries at first but its hard to manuveur around all the tiny arcade booths and the tinier people. hes careful as hell but kids can be demons and don't understand that if they dart under his feet on purpose then its gonna hurt when he stomps

- after an accident (the little girl didnt die or anything, rlly only a broken arm, but djmm doesn't play any upbeat music for days), the west arcade is shut down for construction.

- when it reopens there are new tunnels all around the walls. djmm is absolutely ecstatic to find that now he can travel throughout the arcade in a way he knows no harm will come to anyone. not only this, but now there's a bunch of mini music men designed after wind up toys, who now run about the arcade and help ppl with their problems !

- if a kkid has an emergency within the arcade then djmm can pick them up, place them on his back, and make it out of there pretty quick thru his tunnels so they can make it to first aid

- he never rlly leaves the arcade except for special events. its always been like this, and even if he wanted to he wouldn't be able to do anything about it bc of his size. he doesn't mind much though because his arcade is a popular place so hes never lonely throughout the day

- i don't think he was corrupted by burntrap that much. obviously he was some, not much after gregory turned on all the generators he stopped giving af as we all know. sooooo my reasoning for this is that stupid ass old ass ugly ass William afton did not give a fuck of draining other animatronics than he did the main glamrocks. he probably believed that the main band had the most power so he spent most of his effort corrupting them, only barely taking control of the others (so bad that they are able to break out of it under the right conditions)

SUN AND MOON IEBOFQEBCBV ((((::::;; <3333 3AUHEHFRUFEHHHHH

- AUGGHHHH IDEK WHERE TO START

- okay. ok . popular fan headcanon is that kids like to draw and out stickers on sun and considering how cute this is it is canon.

- to add on to this! i imagine that sun gets nervous about the kids doing this because he always gets scolded after close when he has to get cleaned up, but the kids are just so ADORABLE and he always gives in!

- yes, sun and moon are their actual names. but the ads for their candy say sunnydrop and moondrop in big ass letters-- and what the hell kind of little ass child would look at those and wouldn't go "ah yes their names" bc the ads for the candy DO NOT look like ads for candy.

- anyways bc of this kids more often than not call them sunnydrop or sundrop or sunny and moondrop. sun ADORES the nicknames and will respond to anything. call moon 'moondrop' though and he will grumble with irritation.

- keeping on the trend of animatronics doing things theyre not supposed to bc it could literally kill a kid-- sun likes playing a game with the kids where they climb to the top of the play structures and then jump down from the top into his arms. he cradles them gently and tickles their tummies before setting them down so they can run back to the top and start all over again

- he also likes hiding in the ball pit and letting the kids find him. whoever finds him first gets whatever flavor of fizzyfaz they want!

- sun has a very nervous personality. he was designed to be the perfect caretaker for children, so this means that their safety is oneof his top priorities, this being the source of his anxieties. hes gotten good at it not affecting the children's fun, and hes learned to be more lax, but its def still there

- kids trip more than anything and he hates seeing them whimper when they fall so that's why he doesn't like when the building blocks are scattered about. moon is especially strict about this because its easier to trip over them when its dark

- moon was the only one affected by burntraps corruption IMO. maybe it made sun a bit crazier but moon went rogue lol, so I'm assuming that before the game he wasn't batshit insane and DIDNT try to kill kids that were awake in the dark

- my guess is that's hes the silent comforter type. sun will console a frightened child by talking rapidly and shoving games in their face, but when a kid has a nightmare during naptime moon will silently sit next to them and rub their back and tighten their blanket around them until they stop sniffling. if a kid is especially frightened he will be like "its okay, kid" and let them sit behind the security desk with the human security person, aka in the lights

- moon is the one who floats about with the wires, and does that weird tip toe jump walk, bc he has to be silent during naptime

- the moondrop candy is literally just melatonin. its what moon is authorized tofeed children who wont sleep during naptime. he never forces it on any child who doesn't trust the candy, but gives them some tough love and makes them agree to at least lay down and be quiet while all the other kids are resting

- moon isn't out as much as sun (naptime is probably like an hour or two and theres probably only like 2 separate naptimes a day), so hes not as socially adept as sun

- sun doesn't like the lights being out not bc hes scared of moon or the dark, but because he gets anxious about leaving the kids. how can he make sure theyre safe if his conscious is shut down for so long?!

- moon don't give a fuck what sun thinks he is COMING OUT WHEN ITS NAPTIME

- sun comes out of the daycare about as often as djmm (so not often at all). maybe a tinier bit more if there is a special birthday request. moon comes out every night though. for funsies and for security

okayyyy that's really all i have for now. I'm sure i think of shit tons more as the days go on so I'll come back here and add on if i do.

i'd love to hear eveyrones thoughts, especially on roxy and chica bc i know i didn't write as much about them (I'm pretty accepting of what the fandom has already put forth about them besides that one complaint w roxy so i didn't have much to say). don't be mistaken tho i love them just as much (i had my chica and roxy phase way before monty lol)
