How does she...? How does she know?

Chat stared at Nathalie. He quickly covered her mouth before she could say anything else.

"Chat...? Is something going on?" Ladybug looked at him and Nathalie.

"Oh... Well, it seems that the villain mistook me for the boy. I must look a lot like him, huh?" Chat coughed. Yeah, nice one!

Protector looked at him with a surprised look. Finally she pointed her phone at Chat Noir. Something came out of it, trapping him inside.

"Ah! Chat!" Ladybug ran to him. He was trapped in some kind of a net. Before she could reach him though, Protector grabbed him and started running off.

"Protector, why are you taking Chat? I'm not complaining, but I just thought your goal was Adrien."

"You don't know? I can't believe you don't know, Hawk Moth. But then of course you wouldn't know. You're not close to Adrien, are you?"

"Know what? Tell me! Do you... Somehow know Chat's identity? You need to tell me!"

"I can't say it. Whenever I want to say it, there's like this spell that doesn't allow me to say it! So you need to figure it out by yourself."

"Whatever! In the process of taking Chat away, nake sure you grab me his miraculous. Now that I think about it, he really does remind me of someone I know. But how can it be possible?"

Behind them, Ladybug was running. She used her yoyo, helping her jump from buildings to buildings. Alya and Kagami followed close begin, even though they were kinda a bit slow.

Ladybug extended her yoyo and tried to wrap it around the net Chat was trapped inside of, but Protector acted quickly and blocked the yoyo with her phone.

The akuma must be in her phone! Argh! If I can just get closer to her!

Ladybug continued to run. That's when she noticed Kagami and Alya. Actually, she had noticed them before, but because she had to focus, she ignored them.

She stopped. "Protector! You want to protect Adrien so bad, don't you? Well, what if I tell you I know where he is!"

Protector started laughing out loud. "I can believe you don't know either, and you two work together. I don't need help finding Adrien, because I already-" She didn't finish her sentence. She wanted to, but she couldn't.

"Because you already what?!" Ladybug folded her arms. Why didn't Protector believe her?!

Then she thought of a great idea. So what if Protector didn't believe her. She was going to make her believe!

Running back to Alya and Kagami, she smirked. "Alya, this is a battle I can't fight alone! Come with me!"

"Huh?" Alya looked at her confused. Has Ladybug figured out something? She looked back at Kagami, who looked just as confused.

"I have no time to explain, but I need your help!" Ladybug grabbed her arm, pulling her forward. Kagami gave her a thumbs up.

"What is it?" Now they were alone. Alya was ready to have it. Ladybug knew something, didn't she?

"Like I said, I need your help. Protector obviously doesn't believe me when I say I know where Adrien is. But we're going to make her believe!" Ladybug smirked. "I need her to be distracted and leave Chat."

Alya then knew where this was going. "You... You want me to transform and make an illusion of Adrien?"

Ladybug nodded. "Think you can do that?"

"Of course," Alya saluted. "I never pass out on a chance to help Ladybug. Just give me the miraculous and the illusion will be all set!"

"Where are you taking me?!" Chat cried out. He could have easily used Cataclysm to destroy the net, but he was sure that Ladybug was going to save him, and he felt that he would need his power for something more important later on.

Protector dropped him on the ground. They were alone in the dark cold area. Chat shivered and tried to stand up on his feet.

Protector smirked. "You're not going anywhere, Chat Noir! I will grab your miraculous for Hawk Moth, but I will also protect-"

"You know who I am!" Chat Noir yelled. He looked at her surprised. "You... Know my identity!"

"I'm not the only one!" Protector informed. "In fact there are a few of us that know you under the mask. Don't look too surprised."

"Protector? You know who Chat is under the mask? Tell me! I need to know!"

"Like I said before, Hawk Moth, I can't tell you. I wish to, but whenever I open my mouth to speak of it, it just doesn't come out. Sorry."

"Ugh!"

"How did you find out? Who told you?!" Chat Noir yelled. He looked at her desperately for an answer.

"Yes, someone told me," She said. "Though I can't tell you either. Hehe, if I can get them to join me, that would be fabulous."

Now, Chat Noir was lost. Why couldn't Nathalie tell and answer one simple question. Or two? He groaned, knowing he could do nothing about this for now.

And that's when she started reaching for his miraculous. He tried to swat her hands away, but unfortunately once he came in contact with her skin, his hands were glued together and it was hard to separate them.

She was so close to getting it, until she heard a scream. She knew exactly who that scream belonged to, but she couldn't believe it.

She gritted her teeth. "Adrien is in trouble!" She started running away from Chat Noir.

"No, Protector! Get his miraculous first! You were so close. Get it!"

"I can't! Adrien is in trouble. If I stay for much longer, who knows what's going to happen to him?!"

Chat Noir watched her run off. He sniffed, realizing that small tears had fallen down his cheeks.

Why couldn't his father be more like Nathalie?! She cared so much. Even though she got it all wrong, she still cared and would do anything for him.

While Gabriel on the other hand, was acting as if he wasn't his son at all.

Protector ran to where the screams and little cries came from. And then she saw it. And when she saw it, her blood boiled.

There, at a distance, was Gabriel. He raised his hand and slapped Adrien's cheeks. Protector, with full anger, raced towards them. She placed a hand on Gabriel, and tried to protect Adrien from him, only for the two of them to disappear.

It's... It's all a trick! They tricked me!

She widened her eyes when she remembered Chat Noir. I knew I wasn't wrong. He was the one, why did I believe a silly illusion?!

She raced back towards where Chat Noir was, only he wasn't there anymore. He had escaped!

"Looking for me?" Chat Noir smirked from behind her. Ladybug was also with him. No Rena Rouge, which meant she had probably left.

Chat Noir's eyes then was covered in sadness. "You.. You don't have to do this. I know how much you care about Adrien, but I promise you, he'll be okay-"

"YOU DON'T KNOW THAT!" Protector looked at him. "You're lying to yourself! You know you- not okay. You know how Gabriel treats yo- Stop acting as if it's all okay."

Chat Noir realized how she couldn't say words like "you" or "your". Whenever she tried to, she got caught off. She really couldn't say it. Some part of him felt glad, at least his secret was still safe. But another part of him felt determined to find out how his secret was released.

Ladybug would probably be so mad at him because he couldn't keep his secret well enough. She could even discontinue to be his partner.

"Adrien would really appreciate all you're doing for him," Ladybug spoke. "But this isn't the right way to do it. Do you think he's going to like you being a villain, fighting others? I don't think he would."

"Yeah, but Gabriel won't even let me!" Protector yelled. "Which is why I'm going to destroy him! I'm going to take away all the bad people from Paris, so this place can only be good! Gabriel, wherever you are, just know that I'm coming for you!"

She then raised up her phone. A beep came out of it. "Heh, this phone will lead me where Gabriel is, so that I can finally destroy him!"

And she vanished...
