for any folks in a slump... or just interested in ideas I will never pursue (:

-a man with a terminal decides to fulfill his life's dream: getting banned from a mcdonalds in all fifty states

-a rabid plant has swallowed an entire island whole, and it's only when the survivors go to war that they slowly realize this is not a typical island, but the head of a sea beast. the plants are the hair--and lord knows what's underneath.

-there is a language to flowers, and character a is notorious for their fluency. one day character b walks into their shop and asks "so what combination of these will say 'fuck you'?"  

-to solve a renewable energy crisis, humans turn to an abundant power source they've learned to harness: suffering.

- "nothing is set in stone!" "you're a gravestone carver, herald."

-two races. two kingdoms. in kingdom one, you get reincarnated after you die. in kingdom two, you go to an afterlife determined by your morals in life. kingdom one is full of warriors and lethal games, with no regard for its citizens since if they perish, they always come back as new people. kingdom two is a utopia at first glance--until you realize how many game the system. a character's parents are from separate kingdoms... and when they get stabbed in kingdom one, they have no clue where they'll go.
