I got out of my mom's car, annoyed as fuck. I really didn't know how an ugly anti-rainbow, covered in mosquitoes, surrounded by trees: prison was going to make me change my view on who I am. Because it wasn't going to. My fam should know that by now. I walked up to the entrance, glad that I was early enough to not have to wait in line.

Only after basically a few seconds of waiting, a girl with a clipboard greeted me, with a question, "Name and sexuality?" "It's Alex." I said, also pointing to the pins on my cap. "..What was your dead name?" Her smile stretched wider. I glared at her and mumbled, "Alexis..." "Alright! Cabin 38."

"Ooohhhkkaayyy." I shrugged, walking my way over. I was still suspicious on what she wanted my dead name for. I closed the door behind me, and kept walking until I chose which room I wanted to be mine. I chose the one at the end of the hall. I plugged my phone in, but also texted Quinton:

>Me: Hey big bro. Just wanted to tell u that the fam decided to put me in anti-pride tree prison. Lol. I also wanted to know how's it goin nowadays wit u? U feelin ight?

But I couldn't read his response because of someone's knocking at the door. I opened the door. "Oh so it was Alexis." The guy immediately blurted. I was half tempted to slam the door in his face and lock it so he would have to sleep outside. But I decided not to: "Alex." I hissed, pointing at the pins on my cap.

"Oh! Shit! I am soo sorry!" He cringed. I sighed, "Nah, it's okay, I get it a lot." "Well, James, by the way." James said, stepping inside. "Nice to meet you." I said, plopping myself on the couch. "Didn't want to be in this hell hole either?"

××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××

"Nope." "Phew.. thought I was the only one." What the fuck? People actually want to be here? "Well, anyway, Ima go set up my room." " 'Ight." I simply responded before he walked into whichever room except mine he chose to be his.

Not even half an hour later, some blondie just came in and acted like she was the queen. "Uhm, have you ever heard of knocking?" I growled. "Not when I can meet a girlie like you faster without doing so~" She shittly attempted to flirt, winking at me. "I'm a guy." I grumbled. She had a look of confusion before she started up again, "Hate me that much already to make up an excuse?"

"It's not an excuse, it's who I am." I sighed. "Which, you're a girl?" She said, leaning on the wall. I rolled my eyes, and pointed at my pins. A small smile stretched upon her lips, "Cute pins." "You are literal living proof that stereotypical blondes exist." I rolled my eyes again.

"And how's that?" She said, flipping her stupid ass curly blonde hair. Not trying to hate on blondes, but this bitch is a dumbass, so I didn't respond to her. "Okay, jeez." She said, sitting really close to me. That made me really uncomfortable, so I scooted away. She scooted with me.

I scooted to the edge of the couch. The bitch had the audacity to scoot even closer to me this time. "JAMMMEEESSS! Get this whore away from me before I beat the shit out of her!" I called. Soon enough, he came over, thank god, pushed her over, and sat in between us. I had just been misgendered three times, purposefully called by my dead name by my mom, and just got my bubble bursted by a whore, so I'd never been so happy to sit next to a guy my entire life.
