CHAPTER EIGHTEEN - LET'S GO TO TOKYO!!

HIDEAKI WAS ON DAICHI'S TEAM as he had crouched down to save the ball. "Nice receive!" Daichi praised him. Hideaki panted in exhaustion but still wanted to continue. Hinata smiled happily as he saw the ball and ran forward, Hideaki noticed Kageyama looked over at him and got ready to toss.

Currently, the club was put into two teams, the red and white team, with the red team having 20 points and then Hideaki's team, which was the white, were at 23. Not to mention they were at their fourth set, so he was getting tired.

Tsukishima and Asahi get ready to block the quick attack, only to be misguided when Kageyama had set to Tanaka who grins and runs forward. "All right! Here I go!" Tanaka announced, as he jumped up and smacked the ball, getting a point for the team.

"Yeah!"

Hinata bounced over as him and Tanaka high five happily. "Whoo!" The two cheered, as Tanaka grins and turned to Kageyama and Hideaki. Kageyama flinched, as he knew what Tanaka was asking for, but he wasn't used to it just yet.

Kageyama held his hands out, looking unsure.

"Wh-Whoo..."

Tanaka laughed as he went over and high fived the awkward first-year.

"Get used to it already."

Kageyama was taken aback by the high five but nodded. Tanaka turns to Hideaki and held his hands out for a high five. Hideaki held his hands out for a high five, he grins happily and smacked down Hideaki's palms powerfully, which made him hiss.

"That hurt!"

"Sorry, sorry!"

He laughed, which Hideaki huffed in embarrassment. Soon, they continued the practice match with Daichi being the one to serve. "Daichi, nice serve!" Tanaka encouraged. Daichi threw the volleyball in the air and hit it over the opposing team.

"Got it!" Nishinoya reassured on the other team as he receives the ball. "Left!" Asahi called out to Sugawara, as Hideaki watched Asahi spike down the ball pass Kageyama and Hinata who tried to block him.

Hideaki used his quick reflexes to dive down, and managed to send the ball up. He was playing as libero for his team, since he wanted to strengthen his receiving.

Daichi came over to cover for him as he sends the ball up higher. "Chance ball!" Sugawara announced as the ball goes over the net, Ennoshita sets the ball up and Hideaki saw Tsukishima run forward.

"It's coming again." Hideaki heard Kageyama mutter to Hinata as the duo get ready to block.

The two jump, once Tsukishima had jumped up to spike but they were surprised when Tsukishima did a feint, Daichi and Hideaki dive down for either of them to save the ball, but they were too late as the red team got their point which made Hideaki sigh.

"It's just too easy to fool you guys." Tsukishima teased Kageyama and Hinata, who both had irked faces.

"What'd you say?"

"Now, now..."

Soon, Yamaguchi was serving on the red team, Hideaki watched him, curious to see if he improved at all with his serves as he noticed him breathe in.

"Nice serve!" Sugawara encouraged as Yamaguchi did a jump serve, Daichi easily saves it by crouching down and sends the ball up in the air.

Tanaka and Hinata run forward as they then crossed positions and Kageyama tosses the volleyball to Tanaka who slams it down. However, Nishinoya was quick on his feet as he did a rolling save and grins at his teammates when he saved the ball in time.

Hideaki watched as Sugawara sets the ball to Asahi who spiked it down to their side, Hideaki crouched down to save the ball, but the ball hits his arms and bounced off him and out of the court, making the red team get a point.

Hideaki rubbed his arms as Asahi had a powerful spike. "Damn... Almost as strong as mine..." He thought as his arms were red and throbbed a bit.

"Was that the Rolling Thunder?" Hinata had beamed at Nishinoya who smirks back.

"Yeah! Rolling Thunder!" Nishinoya announced, lifting his arm up, as he thought he looked cool.

Hideaki sighed as he rolled his eyes and turned to his teammates. "Sorry about receiving the ball. I'll try and save it better the next time." He said.

"Don't mind." Daichi reassured him, patting his shoulder.

"Rolling Thunder's so cool!" Hinata exclaimed as Tadahiro turned to him.

"All right! We're starting fresh!" Daichi announced, clapping his hands as his team nods.

"Yeah!"

Soon, Yamaguchi was serving once more as Nishinoya yelled at him, "Yamaguchi, nice serve!" He called out.

The ball hits the net but rolls over to the other side, Kageyama had dived down and received the volleyball in time. Hideaki ran over to the ball and send it to Hinata.

"Hinata!" Hideaki called out to his junior as he runs forward once. Hideaki sent the ball to him. He had jumped up high and spiked it down but got blocked by Asahi and Tsukishima.

Daichi however, saved the ball. "Nice cover!" Tanaka praised their captain, as Hinata uses his speed to run to the other end of the net and Kageyama sets the ball to him and they do their quick attack, getting the white team a point.

TWEEEET!

"All right!"

Ukai smiled down at everyone. "All right, that's enough for today." He stated but Hinata cuts him off.

"Can we do another set, please?" Hinata begged.

Hideaki sighed a little, exhausted, but didn't argue with him.

"Huh?"

"Please!"

Ukai sighed and rubbed his head. "You know, constant practice alone isn't going to cut it. Captain, talk some sense into them." Ukai informed before asking Daichi to speak up. But he paused when he saw his team's determined and eager looks to continue playing.

"You guys..." Ukai huffed at us but they did end up playing another set, as Hideaki wanted to practice some of his spiking.

โ•โ•โ•โ• โˆ˜โ—ฆแต’ ๐“…“ แต’โ—ฆโˆ˜ โ•โ•โ•โ•

Hideaki gulped down his water. "Kageyama, you can still go, right?" He heard Hinata ask, making everyone turn to him in shock.

"I see now... I feel like our defeat against Seijoh is still effecting him in some way." He thought.

"Give me some tosses!" Hinata begged.

"Right." Kageyama agreed without hesitation, which Hideaki shouldn't be surprised about, as the duo headed back onto court, no one else followed and just watched with deadpan looks.

"You guys are still gonna practice?" Tanaka exclaimed at the two.

Hideaki smiled. "What else did you expect from them, Tanaka?" He questioned out loud, as he drank up his water.

His teammates were doing some stretches. Hideaki was about to join them and do some of his own stretches but paused when he heard the gym doors open to reveal Takeda running in, Hideaki winced a little when Takeda tripped and fell, making the team crowd him.

"Sir?"

"Take?"

"You okay?"

Takeda however just looks up at them. "W-We're going, right?" He questioned, which made everyone confused.

"Going where exactly, sensei?" Hideaki asked, raising his eyebrow at him.

"Your nose is bleeding!" Kageyama exclaimed, pointing it out, but Takeda didn't care, as he instead fixed his glasses.

"Tokyo!" He announced holding up a sheet of paper, as well as stare at him in surprise.

"Tokyo?"

Takeda nods to Hinata in response. "Tokyo? You mean... Nekoma?" Hinata beamed as he looked excited about the news.

"Yeah, but it won't be just Nekoma this time." Takeda replied, which made everyone tilt their heads to the side in question.

"The Fukurลdani Academy Group... it's a group of schools from the Kanto region that includes Nekoma. They practice with each other all the time. But now, thanks to Coach Nekomata making arrangements for us, Karasuno's been invited to participate in their practice matches." Takeda explained as Hideaki widened his eyes in shock at the news.

He's heard of Fukurลdani Academy, they had one of the top five aces on their team, and he was just outside the range of the top three.

"Groups like that are created through relationships built up over the years, so it's not easy to get in without connections. We've got to make sure to thank Coach Nekomata. And the teacher here who probably kept asking and asking for this to happen." Ukai stated with a playful joke towards the end.

"No, I didn't, really... Coach Ukai's reputation had a lot to do with it too."

"Thank you!"

Everyone bowed to Takeda who had jumped back in surprise. "Over the years, we've lost connections with other schools in the prefecture that we were once close with." Takeda spoke up, making everyone stare at him. "Many of the coaches who knew Coach Ukai well have been transferred to other schools. We shouldn't miss this chance!"

"Yeah!"

"I'm going to be able to see that set up in person again." Kageyama stated as everyone jumped back at his expression and determined aura.

"This time, I'll be the one who helps defend our reputation!" Nishinoya announced excitedly.

"We're gonna take down that City Boy Alliance!" Tanaka exclaimed, as Tsukishima and Yamaguchi hold back their own laughs.

"City boy..."

"...Alliance?"

Hideaki just stared in amusement at his team. His eyes lingered over to Hinata who shakes in excitement.

"This time, I'm going to break through for sure!" He announced happily.

"Um, the only thing is, their prelims for the Inter-High start this weekend, so it won't be right away. We have an invitation, but there are a lot of details to take care of and people we need to get permission from. We'll talk about that later. For now, I'll assume the team wishes to attend?" Takeda questioned.

"Of course!"

"We'll go!"

Everyone cheered, as Nishinoya had suddenly jumped on Hideaki's shoulders in excitement, making him yelp and almost lose his balance. Takeda smiled before he gasped and looked at his watch.

"I've got a staff meeting, so I've got to get going. Ukai, I leave the rest to you." Takeda stated as he glanced at Ukai.

"Sure." Ukai assured, as Takeda nodded and heads out on out the door.

"Thank you!" Everyone bid the teacher goodbye.

"Come on! Hurry and clean up, then go home!"

"Right!"

โ•โ•โ•โ• โˆ˜โ—ฆแต’ ๐“…“ แต’โ—ฆโˆ˜ โ•โ•โ•โ•

The next day at school was long and tiring for Hideaki. He resisted the urge to sleep through his classes, but of course, he couldn't. The school day finally ended, and it was time for volleyball practice, which he instantly got up and bolted out of his classroom.

Hideaki soon arrived at the club room and entered it. "Hello, everyโ€”" He greeted everyone inside, but was interrupted by Tanaka yelling at something, as Hideaki blinked in confusion and walked over. He was reading a magazine, as everyone else, such as Nishinoya, Hinata, Kageyama, and Sugawara all came over to see what made Tanaka yell.

"Oikawa's featured in Monthly Volleyball, and there's a picture to go with it!" Tanaka hissed. Hideaki raised an eyebrow at the mention of his boyfriend being featured in the paper.

"Well, he's good enough to play in a national league. Right, Hideaki?" Sugawara spoke before turning to Hideaki.

"Tลru does bring out the best in his spikers and uses all of their abilities. So I would say yeah." Hideaki replied.

"So, what does it say?" Sugawara asked in curiosity, as Tanaka continued to glare at the magazine.

"Um... Oikawa's favorite food is milk bread. His favorite saying is, 'If you're going to hit it, hit it until it breaks.'" Tanaka stated with annoyance as everyone else stared down with unimpressed looks. Hideaki sighed in embarrassment.

"And I'm dating that piece of trash?" Hideaki thought.

"What the hell is that?" Sugawara mumbled as Nishinoya scoffs and went over to join them.

"Who cares? That's completely useless!" Nishinoya hissed as Hideaki glanced down at the page and noticed a picture of Iwaizumi, Matsukawa, and Hanamaki.

"Looks like all of Seijoh's third-year regulars stayed on the team to try and defeat Shiratorizawa." Hideaki muttered, reading the page from Tanaka's shoulder. But quickly jumped back when Tanaka got all fired up.

"Come on and bring it, Seijoh!"

"Bring it!" Hinata added as Sugawara quickly pushed Tanaka away and made him let go of the magazine.

"Hey! You're gonna rip it!" Sugawara scolded. Hidekai stood next to Kageyama, watching everything go down.

"For crying out loud..."

Sugawara looks down once he picked up the magazine, and he notices someone. "Hey, it's Ushiwaka." Sugawara noted. This got Hideaki's attention as Nishinoya and Hinata look at the page.

"Japan?"

"Hey! Get out here already."

Everyone looked over to see Daichi, Asahi and Ennoshita waiting for them outside of the club room. "We're going for a run." Daichi added.

"Hey, Ushiwaka's in the Youth World."

The three at the door look taken aback at this information. "Youth World?" Hideaki heard Yamaguchi mumble in confusion.

"Simply put, players 19 years of age and younger. He's the Japanese representative." Tsukishima explained in a bored tone.

"Only one high school can represent Miyagi in the spring tournament." Hideaki added.

Daichi came into the room and looked over everyone. "For us to go to Nationals, we'll have to defeat Ushiwaka and Oikawa." Daichi stated.

"The last time we went up against Aoba Johsai, we were defeated. Now, we have to defeat Shiratorizawa." Hideaki thought with an exhausted sigh.

"All right! Let's go running!"

"Right!"

โ•โ•โ•โ• โˆ˜โ—ฆแต’ ๐“…“ แต’โ—ฆโˆ˜ โ•โ•โ•โ•

Hideaki looked up at the massive hill ahead of them. He had an amused look on his face. "Here we are. Karasuno's famous Heartbreak Hill." Tanaka grins in determination.

"All right! Ten dashes uphill to the halfway mark! Two at a time!"

Hideaki stared at Daichi. "Daichi, are you trying to kill our poor juniors?" He shouted at him as Daichi gave him an "innocent" smile. The first to go was Ennoshita and Tanaka.

"Ready..."

CLAP!

The two bolted up the hill, the next to go was Tsukishima and Yamaguchi, as they get ready to run off.

"Ready..."

CLAP!

"Tsukishima, run like you mean it!"

Next to go was Sugawara and Asahi.

"Ready..."

CLAP!

The two third-years run off, the next to go was Narita and Kinoshita.

"Ready..."

CLAP!

Kageyama and Hinata step up, ready to race each other, but before they could, Daichi stopped them. "Hold up. Since there is an uneven number, Hideaki, you'll be going with them." Daichi stated.

"You're seriously leaving me to babysit them? You could've just sent me off with Kinoshita and Narita." Hideaki informed. "Besides, those two will just leave me behind."

"You'll be able to keep up with them easily." Daichi said, pushing him between the two.

Daichi didn't even say anything as he just clapped instead, the moment the clap was heard, the three of them ran up. Hideaki wasn't surprised when Kageyama and Hinata were ahead of him.

"Must you two compete in everything?!" He shouted to them but they didn't hear him.

"You stupid first-year brats!"

Hideaki quickly tried to catch up, he passed Kinoshita and Narita, mumbling about how he was going to kill Kageyama and Hinata. He heard the two shouting from the distance.

"Hey! Where are you two idiots going?" Hideaki heard Tanaka yell out.

Hideaki eventually caught up to Tsukishima, Yamaguchi, Tanaka, and Ennoshita. "Just let them be." Tsukishima said.

Hideaki sighed as he shook his head. "I wish I could. But then Daichi will have my head, and he's scary when he's pissed. So I'll get them..." He told him as he ran off. He mainly followed their yelling.

โ•โ•โ•โ• โˆ˜โ—ฆแต’ ๐“…“ แต’โ—ฆโˆ˜ โ•โ•โ•โ•

"I'm going to hit them! Damn you, Daichi! I'm getting too old for this!" Hideaki breathed out, as he noticed the sky was setting already.

He looked at his surroundings. "I'm not even sure where I am anymore..." Hideaki thought.

"You totally went the wrong way somewhere, didn't you?"

"That'd be you, dumbass!"

Hideaki heard the two up ahead, as he finally saw them. "I finally found you!" Hideaki panted, as he stopped in front of them.

"Izuki-san?"

"You followed us here?"

Hideaki scowled at them. "You dumbasses! Weren't you ever taught to listen to your seniors?! I don't get paid enough to deal with your crap!" He shouted as the two flinch.

"You don't get paid though, Izuki-san..."

"Shut up!"

"Where are we?" Hinata asked, changing the subject and looking around. Hideaki did as well as he looked up at the traffic lights.

"Wakano 3-chome?"

"Isn't Wakano near Shiratorizawa?"

Hideaki gulped and froze in place. "Just what we need..." He thought.

"Shiratorizawa? You mean Ushiwaka's school?"

"Did you need something from me?"

Kageyama, Hinata, and Hideaki all tensed up. He turned around to see none other than Ushijima in front of them.

"Japan!"

Hideaki really wanted to smash his head against a wall.

Hideaki looked at Ushijima. "It's been awhile since I last met him. Our last encounter was back in junior high." He thought. Ushijima's eyes lingered at Hideaki for a bit longer, as if he recognized him, before turning away.

"If you don't need anything, I'll be leaving." Ushijima stated as he started to run off. Hideaki sighed in relief, until Kageyama spoke up.

"We came from Karasuno! Would you mind if we did some recon at Shiratorizawa?" Kageyama asked as Hinata and Hideaki stared at him in shock.

"You idiot! Besides, isn't that basically spying on them?" Hideaki thinks to himself, twitching his eye a little.

"Karasuno... The team that uses that weird quick attack?" Ushijima said looking back at them as Kageyama and Hinata tensed.

"Do as you like. No matter what your abilities may be, we won't get weaker just because you watch us." He added as we stood in silence.

"I'm heading back to school now. If you want to look, follow me. If you can keep up."

Hideaki felt annoyed at his words of trying to keep up with him. "I can see why Tลru finds him annoying." He thought, as he took in a deep breath.

"Of course we're going. We're going to defeat you at the spring tournament." Kageyama had scoffed as him and Hinata stretched.

"Of course we'll watch."

"Yeah."

Hideaki kept silent, staring at the back of the man Oikawa kept losing too. "Are you out doing roadwork by yourself?" He asked as Ushijima looked at him.

"Everyone else is just slow. They're back there somewhere." He bluntly stated. Hideaki was taken aback, he then takes off as Hideaki quickly followed him.

In just a couple steps in running, Hideaki was already beside him. Ushijima glances at him, with an expression of shock. Hideaki couldn't help but smirk. "Why so surprised? You did tell us to keep up, did you not?" He questioned.

Hideaki could hear Kageyama and Hinata in the back trying to keep up with them. "Holy crap! I'm super excited! Whoo!" Hinata cheers, making Hideaki internally slap himself.

"Calm down, dumbass! Are you a dog? Are you out for your first walk, you idiot?" Kageyama insulted. Hideaki shook his head at the two.

"Those two are energetic. Especially the short one." Ushijima commented. Hideaki couldn't help but snort in amusement at his words.

"Trust me. I know." Hideaki said, his voice laced with amusement. "I apologize about my juniors. They can be a handful."

Ushijima doesn't respond but Hideaki could feel his stare on him the entire way back to his school.

โ•โ•โ•โ• โˆ˜โ—ฆแต’ ๐“…“ แต’โ—ฆโˆ˜ โ•โ•โ•โ•

The three of them soon made it to Shiratorizawa Academy, Kageyama, Hinata, and Hideaki come to a halt. "It's so big!" Hinata announced in awe.

"Their school building looks so cool! It looks like a hotel!" Hinata exclaimed as they ran over to the field. "What's with this super-huge athletic field?" Hinata announced as Kageyama and Hideaki watch him run over to some signs.

"Whoa! This place is so big they need signs!"

Soon Hinata ran off to see people on horses. "Kageyama, Izuki-senpai, horses! They have horses!" Hinata exclaimed, looking like an excited child.

"What else do you expect from a rich and prestigious school? I'm honestly not surprised." Hideaki thinks to himself.

Hinata dragged them over to the buses. "Their volleyball team has its own bus!" Hinata stated with an excited look.

"Hey, don't get lost." Kageyama scolded.

"I won't!" Hinata shouted back, looking irked. Hideaki sighed at the two.

"Tobio is right. We'll get lost in this school since we're unfamiliar with it." Hideaki stated as the two stayed silent. But then, Kageyama started to panic about something.

"We've lost sight of Ushiwaka!" Kageyama panicked.

"Then we're lost!" Hinata exclaimed as Hideaki sighed and looked over at the signs. "All you need to do is look at the signs. Idiots." He thought as he read the signs.

"Uh, guys." Hideaki spoke up as his juniors looked at him. He gestured at the signs. "Says here the volleyball gymnasium is that way." Hideaki informed as he pointed in the direction. Soon, the three of them headed off to the gym, to do some recon.

After a few minutes, they finally were able to locate the gym.

"This looks like it might be the volleyball team's gym."

"Yeah..."

"Well, the signs did point this way, so I think we're right."

The three of them walked closer to the gym, Hinata had peaked his head inside the big gymnasium as Kageyama and Hideaki walked over to the window. Hinata noticed them and slides on over.

"Hey, can you see Ushiwaka?" Hinata questioned as he sat down beside Kageyama and pushed him. Which made Kageyama get pushed into Hideaki.

"Shut up! Don't push!" Kageyama hissed.

Hideaki opened the window a little wider for them to see so that they don't push and shove.

"Huh? Isn't that another school? Is it a practice match? Who are they playing?" Hinata kept on questioning.

"Aren't those college students?" Kageyama commented.

"College?" Hinata gasped.

Hideaki nodded in agreement. "Well, no other high school in the prefecture stands a chance against Shiratorizawa. They'd have to go out of the prefecture or have a college team come in for it to even count as practice." He stated, it made him a little annoyed at how strong Shiratorizawa sounded.

"Curse you, Japan!"

"Took you long enough."

Hinata and Kageyama jumped when they heard Ushijima's voice. They turned to see him about to enter the gym, making them get up from the ground.

"I'm Kageyama from Karasuno High. Would you mind if I had a look?" Kageyama greeted.

"Kageyama... From Kitagawa Daiichi?" Ushijima questioned making both Hideaki and Kageyama freeze at the mention of their junior high.

"Yes, I applied for this school, but wasn't accepted." Kageyama informed.

"That's not surprising." Ushijima said bluntly, making Kageyama a little confused. "I remember seeing one of your middle school games. We have no need for setters who can't devote themselves to their aces." Ushijima added, making Kageyama gulp at this.

"I'm gonna kick his ass if he doesn't stop talking." Hideaki growled in his head.

Hinata suddenly snorted. "It's true, he's not the devoted type." He grins in amusement.

"What?" Kageyama yells in annoyance, as Hinata and Hideaki walk closer.

"But the Great King's not the devoted type either. And he's the best setter in the prefecture." Hinata stated.

"Oikawa has nothing to do with this!" Kageyama hissed.

"Yeah, and stop calling him that! He already has a big enough ego!" Hideaki added. He then saw Ushijima look at them with interest.

"Oikawa... He is an efficient player. He should have come to our school." Ushijima informed as Hinata looked shocked at this and Kageyama looked annoyed at this statement. Hideaki just sighed. It wasn't anything new to him. Oikawa did constantly complain to him saying how Ushijima kept telling him he should've went to Shiratorizawa.

"By that, you mean Tลru would devote himself to you?" Hideaki spoke up, making the others stare at him. Ushijima continued to look at him as he walked over.

"No matter where he is, Oikawa is a setter that can bring the absolute best out of his team. If the team's absolute best is still weak, there's nothing more to be done. If it's strong, he'll make it as strong as possible. That is his ability." Ushijima informed.

Hideaki darkened his eyes at this. Ushijima was pretty much saying that everyone excluding Oikawa are horrible at what they do. He clenched his fist. "A sapling must have good soil in order to grow strong. Good fruit cannot be harvested from barren soil." Ushijima stated.

"Barren soil? What do you mean?"

Ushijima looked down at the orange haired first-year. "Other than Oikawa, everyone at Aoba Johsai is weak. That's what I mean." He stated as Hideaki narrowed his eyes at him.

Hideaki's mind went to Iwaizumi, Kindaichi, Kunimi, Matsukawa, Hanamaki, Watari, Yahaba and other team players that he saw. They were all strong. It pissed him off that Ushijima easily called them weak.

"Weak..." Hinata mumbled as he then walked forward. "If Seijoh is barren soil, does that make us concrete or something?" He asked.

Hideaki could see Ushijima tense at his junior's expression. Which made him smirk a little. Kageyama also looked a little afraid. But Hideaki was cheering him on. Usually, Hinata would get nervous around tall players, but this time, he was the exact opposite.

"I apologize if I hit a nerve, but someone in a team that can't even make it to the prefecture finals because they lost to Aoba Johsai can say all they want, but I will make nothing of it." Ushijima informed as Hideaki narrowed his eyes at the mention of their defeat.

He saw a ball get hit out of the gym doors, Ushijima had jumped up to catch the incoming ball, but then Hinata suddenly ran forward with his quick speed and jumped even higher to catch the ball, which surprised Ushijima as Hideaki saw him widen his eyes at this. He grinned.

Hinata grabbed the ball and lands back down on the ground, as everyone stood in silence. Kageyama and Hideaki had identical smug looks on their faces as they stared at their teammate.

"I'm Hinata Shoyo, from the concrete." Hinata stated as he hands the ball back to Ushijima. He then looks up at him. "I will crush you and go to Nationals."

The two stare at each other in tense silence, it was like a crow and a hawk soar around before the hawk landed on Ushijima's side with three crows on Kageyama, Hinata, and Hideaki's side.

"Hey, are you from another school? You're not allowed to be here." A teacher had spoken up, as he saw them.

"Thank you for showing us around. Excuse us." Hinata had bowed as he turns away to walk off.

"Um... If Oikawa is the best setter in the prefecture, then I'm going to be even better than he is." Kageyama declared, making Hideaki seem taken aback.

"Pfft, I'm so telling Tลru about this..." Hideaki thought in amusement.

"Excuse us." Kageyama bowed as he ran off to catch up with Hinata. Ushijima watched the two leave.

"Well, I better get going." Hideaki spoke up, about to follow his underclassmen, but Ushijima stopped him.

"You're also from Kitagawa Daiichi, correct?" Ushijima asked.

"Yeah." Hideaki replied, wondering why Ushijima wanted to know.

"What's your name?"

"Izuki Hideaki."

"I can see you have potential of being a great player. What's your position in volleyball?" Ushijima asked.

Hideaki smirked. "I'm actually Karasuno's ace." He informed as Ushijima widened his eyes. He continued to stare down at him.

"You should have also come to Shiratorizawa."

Hideaki scoffed. "Please don't use that pointless line on me." He said.

"About what you said to Tobio." Hideaki began. "He's changed since junior high. If you seen him play in a match, you would've wished he attended Shiratorizawa. You lost a valuable player who easily placed our third-year setter on the bench. That's how good he is."

"We may have been defeated by Aoba Johsai in the Inter-High, but we'll come back stronger in the Spring." Hideaki continued. "First, we're gonna defeat Tลru and get our revenge. Then, you and all of Shiratorizawa will be next."

"Karasuno is coming for your ticket to Nationals, Ushiwaka. You better be careful, because a flock of crows might just be enough to kill a single white bird." Hideaki finished.

"Tลru and Hajime started the war, I'm gonna finish it." Hideaki declared. Both him and Ushijima had a stare down until Hideaki finally walked away to catch up with Hinata and Kageyama.

As they were walking out the school, Kageyama started to talk, "But we can't defeat Seijoh yet, much less Shiratorizawa." Kageyama had stated as Hinata had looked ahead.

"If we can't defeat either of them, nothing else will matter." Hinata stated as Hideaki smirked at this.

"You don't get it do you?" Hideaki questioned as his underclassmen looked at him. "That's why we're going to Tokyo. To become stronger, it's best if we play against strong teams, right?"

โ•โ•โ•โ• โˆ˜โ—ฆแต’ ๐“…“ แต’โ—ฆโˆ˜ โ•โ•โ•โ•

The three of them made it back to their team after a very long explanation as to where they were and if the three of them were okay. After they assured everyone that they were okay, they headed into the gym as Takeda was explaining some stuff about the trip.

"Ahem... About that trip to Tokyo... For now, we're planning to have it next month. For trips like this, we'll need your parents' permission. I'll pass out the paperwork later. The school has given consent as well." Takeda explained which made everyone smile at this.

"However, as you are aware, you have final exams starting next month."

Hideaki noticed Ukai flinch at this. "And? What kind of idiots would forget about thaโ€”" He thought as he glanced at Nishinoya, Tanaka, Hinata, and Kageyama, only to see that the four looked pale and stayed silent.

"Right?" Takeda asked the four, as they turned their heads away, not uttering a word out. Hideaki twitched his eye at the four.

"Seriously?" Hideaki thought.

"So, I think you know what I'm getting at, but if you fail any subjects, supplementary classes will be held that weekend. Which means you won't be able to go to away games." Takeda announced as Hideaki saw his four teammates shake on the spot.

Hideaki sighed and ran a hand through his hair at his four teammates who had forgotten about the exams.

"Of course they forgot. What a bunch of morons."
