Anxious footsteps echoed on the wooden floor, that was the only sound that could be heard in the run-down hideout. The silence was killing him. He scratched at his neck carefully. Any second his scouts would return. He only hoped they would come back with something useful. As if speaking of the devil, the door to the hideout was nearly burst off its hinges.

"We found her!" They exclaimed in between pants.

"Where is she?" Shigaraki demanded, nearly pouncing on his cohort.

"At a police station in the city," They went on after catching their breath. "She's with the boy and All Might." Shigaraki grinned wickedly.

"Rally the troops," Shigaraki stated, growing childishly excited. "We're going to have some fun." The sick enjoyment Shigaraki got from the prospect of killing you was contagious.

The metal was ice-cold against your wrists. The handcuffs were uncomfortable, but you refused to show your irritation. To both your left and right, heroes stood armed and ready to restrain you if you put up a fight. You knew better than to fight back or resist, it would only make the heroes trust you less.

They glared at you with venom. Each one of their eyes holding such hatred; such anger. It was obvious they all knew who you were. Part of you knew you deserved their resentment and their apathy. Yet, there was another part of you that desired their approval and that wanted to reform.

He looked at you with kindness. His empathy and idealistic optimism allowed him to give you a chance to prove you could change. His faith in humanity meant faith in you. He was the only one. Izuku smiled at you.

"Excuse me," You spoke up. The interrogation had fallen into a standstill. You answered all the heroes' questions honestly. They asked about The League, how long you had been feeding Izuku information, etc.

"Is there any way I could speak to All For One?" You requested politely. One of the heroes in the interrogation room scoffed.

"Maybe when all this is done," They remarked with a smirk, "you'll end up in the same cell block in Tartarus." Their words shocked Izuku.

"Wait, you're going to lock her up?" He asked in disbelief.

"We haven't decided yet," Detective Tsukauchi said, trying to calm the young hero down. "Having the connections she does is enough to put her away." Tsukauchi turned to look at you, trying to display some sort of sympathy. "But, if you were to tell us everything you know, I'm sure that would lessen your sentence."

"She's risking her life to try and help us," Izuku reminded him passionately. "She's not a villain, she wants to change!" He defended you in the presence of individuals he idolizes; it was heartwarming. The best part was, he believed what he was saying. He believed you when no one else did.

"(Y/n) doesn't deserve to be in a cell," Izuku stated confidently. No matter how much you appreciated what he did, you knew it wasn't smart. He could attest to your character, sure, but perhaps such a dedicated defense would lead the heroes to believe there was more to the story. You were about to tell him to stop, but you didn't get the chance.

The wall nearest to you came caving in on itself.
