I was going through a few period related articles today. [Idiotic me forgot the name/link]. One article shared the experience of a girl on her first period. It was basically about her reaction to her first period. 

She was in her school, doing Sports/PE/PT whatever you call it.  She had a killer headache, stomach pain, and felt a little faint but she thought, "Whatever, I got PE, got to go. Can deal with this "ant bite"-worthy pain later." and then she was playing basketball like nothing happened.

 Then- well, her white skirt got blood on it. Her friend said, Go to Infirmary, Matron will fix you in a minute. Congratulations, by the way.". The girl was staring at her friend like her friend was mad. 'What was there to be congratulated about and going to the Infirmary? The stuff doesn't add up.' she thought. But she went, nonetheless. 

She didn't have a clue she was on her period and when Matron asked, "What happened?" she said she felt a little faint and had headache. 

The Matron took her blood levels, pulse and was shocked. She called 911 immediately. This girl's levels were so low, and she was playing freaking Basketball. With a capital B. Then the hospital nurse actually got to the bottom of things and told her Mother to explain. 

Now this girl, who's giving the interview says, and I quote, "If a boy thinks periods are gross and girls are weak, well, tell them to come to my house and I'll keep my lecture ready. The thing I went through at 11, proves girls are stronger than they are known for. My levels were lower than normal, and yet I played on basketball with killer headaches, major stomach ache, and I legit bleeded like that. Boys, you better keep your eye out for my chef knife, because every time a girl is shamed for her period, I'm doing a verbal murder." 

Now, who agrees with me girls are strong?
