arabella felt strong arms pick her up. she could barely open her eyes she felt like she had just had a brick wall dropped on her head.

"bellamy, if that's you..." she slurred slightly. "remember to tell me to kiss you when i can actually move properly." she groaned as he gently sat her up against a tree where clarke also was sat.

"you're both okay." clarke softly said, pulling a twig out of arabella's hair.

"no. i'm not." bellamy told her. "my mother... if she knew what i'd done, who i am. she raised me to be better, to be good."

"you are good, bell." arabella softly said, her eyes slightly open, she reached for his hand and held it tightly.

"all i do is hurt people." he sniffed. "i'm a monster."

"you aren't a monster, bellamy." clarke shook her head.

"you saved mine and clarke's life's today. you may be a total ass half the time, but... we need you." arabella softly told him, her head resting on his shoulder. "i need you."

"none of us would've survived this place if it wasn't for you." clarke added on. "you want forgiveness, fine, i'll give it to you. you're forgiven, ok?" clarke told him, then she looked at arabella. "but neither of you can run. you have to come back with me. you have to face it."

"like you faced your mom?" bellamy asked.

clarke scoffed quietly. "you're right. i don't want to face my mom. i don't wanna face any of it." clarke drew in a deep breath. "all i think about every day is how we're gonna keep everyone alive. but we don't have a choice."

"jaha will kill me when he comes down." bellamy told them.

"we'll figure something out. we always do." arabella told him, squeezing his hand.

bellamy let out a small scoff. "can we figure it out later?"

"whenever you're ready." she replied.

bellamy and arabella looked at each other with soft smiles. "where you go, i go." she quietly told him.

...

arabella, bellamy, and clarke arrived back at the camp bringing everything they could need from the supply depot. they heard a commotion apparently someone had let the grounder out, a small smile formed on her face, knowing it would've been octavia.

"let the grounders come." bellamy said as they entered the camp. "we've been afraid of them for far too long, and why? because of their knives and spears. i don't know about you, but i'm tired of being afraid."

the three exchanged a glance and dropped the guns on the ground. "these are weapons, not goddamn toys." arabella began. "if i see anyone fucking around with a gun, i will not hesitate to-"

"bella." bellamy warned.

the girl rolled her eyes. "just don't be little shits." she waved them off.

"we also have to be prepared to give them up to the guard when the dropships come. but until then, they're gonna keep us safe." clarke added on, her leadership skills showing unlike arabella's considering she threatened to kill anyone who messed around with the guns.

"and there are plenty more where these came from." bellamy said. "tomorrow we start training. and if the grounders come, we're gonna be ready to fight."

...

clarke checked arabella's head wound, it was all fine she just said to take it easy in case she has a concussion.

"arabella? your dad's ready." clarke softly told the girl.

after a lot of thinking and persuasion from clarke and bellamy, arabella finally agreed to speak with her father. she drew in a deep breath. "look, clarke, i'm not making any promises that i won't completely lose my shit with him."

"i know." the blond girl nodded.

arabella sighed, walking into the tent where her father would be waiting to see her, through a screen obviously. she slowly sat down on the chair, she still had a dull pain in her head, but she tried to ignore it.

she stared at the screen her father was showing on. "hi, bella."

"hi." she awkwardly said.

"so, how is it down there? what's earth like?" he asked.

"pretty shit, almost died a few times, but it's pretty so i won't complain." she replied, her hands shaking slightly.

"what happened?" marcus asked with concern.

"well, the first day i almost got eaten by some sea monster, got a pretty cool scar to show for it though, then i almost got my throat slit by my best friend, but i knew he wouldn't he loves me too much, he's out there somewhere." she sadly smiled, beginning to feel the slightest bit more comfortable. "i got hit in the head with the gun today, hurt like a bitch, clarke told me to be careful because i could have a concussion."

"clarke's a smart girl." her father nodded. "she tells me you, her and bellamy blake run the place down there."

"eh, i just threaten everyone, puts them in line. bell and clarke do most of the work."

"that doesn't surprise me one bit." marcus laughed. "look, bella, i'm so sorry, for everything. i was one of the reasons i took your mother away from you, but i want you to know i had no choice. they told me i either did it, or they'd put me in the airlock with her."

arabella sighed. "i miss her, so much."

"i miss her too, i know what i did was selfish, but i couldn't leave you alone, you were too young."

she nodded. "i... i understand. i'm sorry i placed all the blame on you, but i need you to know... i didn't attack those guards first, sure i tormented them a little bit-"

"bella. i know." he interrupted. "again it was a situation where you either got put in the skybox or... god i don't even wanna know what would happen. i knew about the crimes you committed before the attack and i did everything i could to make sure you'd be protected, it was the council's last straw."

arabella was at a loss for words. "why... why have you never told me this before?" she asked.

"you refused to see me when you were in the skybox, i think they were honestly concerned for my safety." he explained.

"oh, right yeah. good call actually." arabella smiled. "so, random question, but, um." she stumbled on her words. "how did you know you were falling for mom?"

"why? is there someone down there i need to keep an eye on?" he joked.

arabella shook her head. "yeah, maybe." she smiled. "i highly, highly doubt you'll be pleased though."

"who?" marcus asked.

"are you sure you wanna know? i don't wanna give your old ass a heart attack." she giggled, and marcus nodded. "it's bellamy, bellamy blake."

her father's eyes widened. "i definitely wasn't expecting that, but... as long as you're happy."

"he's great, really. since day one he's done everything  he can to protect me and his sister, he deserves a second chance."

"unfortunately, bella, the choice isn't mine." her dad replied.

"i know." she nodded. "i love you, dad." arabella told him, after learning the full story, he wasn't at fault, it was the corruption of the council and arabella' bad choice of actions.

"i love you too, bella." he smiled. "i'll be down soon."

arabella smiled. "bye, dad." she stood up and left the tent, her eyes searching for bellamy.

thankfully, he wasn't far, basically right outside the tent in fact, she ran over to the man, hugging him tightly.

"hey, bella." he smiled, hugging her back.

she pulled away and looked up at him, his eyes on hers. she had never felt so safe in her life, she looked at his lips briefly.

"kiss me. please." arabella begged.

that was all bellamy needed, he held her face and pressed his lips onto her. arabella almost melted to the ground, he pulled her in by her waist and kissed her harder, his lips slowly travelling down her neck. "oh, god." arabella moaned, his lips felt like gold she couldn't get enough of it.

arabella brought bellamy's lips to hers again her hands traveling to his abs, god he was perfect, she wanted him more than anything. her hands moved to his hair, tugging on it slightly, making him groan as he kissed her.

the two pulled away when they heard clarke yell bellamy's name, he let out a breathy chuckle, pressing his forehead to hers. "i have wanted to do that since the day i met you."

"i'd say the same but i didn't like you very much when i first met you." arabella smiled.

"there you are- oh!" clarke stood staring at the two. "sorry, uh, it's time for you bellamy."

arabella and bellamy looked at each other again, and the girl nodded at him. "may have put in a good word for you with my dad." she grinned.

"you're coming with me, right?" he asked.

"of course." arabella reached for his hand and they followed clarke into the tent.

arabella and bellamy sat down, putting on the headphones things.

"mr blake. i've been wanting to talk to you for some time now." jaha spoke.

"and before you do, i'd like to say something. when you sent us down here, you sent us to die. but, miraculously, most of us are still alive. and that's because of him, mostly. he is one of us and he deserves to be pardoned of his crimes, just like the rest of us have." arabella spoke as calmly as possible to the man.

"arabella, i appreciate your point of view, but it's not that simple." he told the two.

"it is, if you want to know who on the ark wants you dead." bellamy spoke from beside her.

jaha was silent for a moment, he moved further to the camera. "bellamy blake, you're pardoned for your crimes, son."

arabella and bellamy both softly smiled.

"now, tell me who gave you the gun."
