To fall in love.
To be miles apart
Split by the world
Split by disease
Unable to see eachother.

Do you know what it is like?
To fall for their soul.
The world was broken
Everyone was forced to be home
But despite it all
I fell.

Do you know what it is like?
To hear their joy.
To hear their laugh through a screen
To hear their excitement burn
To see each ounce of joy
in their texts.

Do you know what it is like?
To fall so deep.
You can't help but imagine
A life with them
forever
together.

Do you know what it is like?
To watch them fall.
They talk to you less
They move away from the hugs
They ignore you more
And it burns.

Do you know what it is like?
To see the hesitance.
To have them hold your hand
for the first time in months
and for those dreaded words
to cause heartbreak.

Do you know what it is like?
To have fallen so deep.
But they fell back out,
they loved you back for so long
and yet
heartbreak.

Do you know what it is like?
To have loved.
With your whole soul.
With your whole heart.
With your whole body.
To crave a hug.
Yet,

Do you know what it is like?
To fall in love
and watch them fall out?
