First day of high school. Rosegold High. No friends. Just me, an outsider. I mean it's fine, because I think of myself as pretty sweet and pretty. It won't be that hard to make friends...hopefully. I totally forgot to introduce myself! Oops. I'm lauren! I have long, thick, wavy brown hair. I'm not very tall. I'm 15. I have really pretty green eyes with blue around the ring of it. I don't wear that much makeup. I only wear concealer, loads of mascara ( with some eyeliner on my water line), bronzer to contour my cheek bones and nose, a pinky Nude lipgloss and highlight (but only on the tip of my nose). I have freckles. They mainly show in the summer time but it is currently winter, in the month of January. My personality...lets just say that it changes through my life. Sometimes I could be the sweetest but if anyone messes with my best friend Liv them I will hurt them! Today I'm wearing leggings and a really baggy sweatshirt, with letters on it that spell out Rosegold High. I'm also wearing dark purple fussy socks with light brown boots. My nails are painted red, and I have 4 rings, 3 on my left and 1 on my right. Rings are my favorite piece of Jewelry!
   Family you ask? Well...I was adopted by Steff , my foster mother, and she wasn't the best. She beat me. Everyday. I have a brother named Jack. He's 14. Steff loved Jack, but suddenly Jack disappeared. Some say he went to elsewhere, and some say he went to be part of the others. Elsewhere and The Others? Yes. Ik what you're thinking, "huhhh". Here, let me explain. Elsewhere is a place where The Others take you when u "expire" or if you are "different". I heard that last year The Others took a boy named Edward to Elsewhere. He was said to be abnormally pale, red eyes and even hunted for human blood! Now that's different. The others are these people supposedly here before this world was made! I don't believe that.
   They are also found to be very wise. If you are more wise than them or disobey their orders...you and your whole family will be wiped out. I could care less, because I hate Steff with a burning passion. I do believe there is good in everyone though. On the other hand a love jack and miss him everyday!
   *bell rings*
   As I walk through the big brown wooden doors, I knew my life was going to change. I'm at the bottom of the food chain...no food or water...just me. Well and Liv of course. As I walk down the cold crowed hallway...I see such a beautiful sight. The butterflies in my stomach have been let loose! What is this feeling? Is it "love" everyone talks about? Is he "love"? He looked at me with his dark colored eyes. My heart just melted. Why is he so beautiful? Is this legal? The Others made a rule that no one can be more beautiful than the rest of us. I guess he just broke that rule and I'm glad.
