Triton

It was almost midnight, something was telling me that Dad wasn't coming home tonight.

Then again, he almost seemed anxious leaving. I wonder...

I wonder if he's seeing someone or sleeping with someone. Him and Mom are officially divorced, I guess he wouldn't need to sneak around her like he would before.

"Hey, Triton," Tyson asked, looking like he had some sort of nightmare, or maybe a vision. He gets those back and forth. "Where's uh... Where's Daddy?"

"I haven't heard him get back yet," I told my little brother. Which seemed to worry him a bit. "He's alright, Tyson."

"You sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure," I promised him and sighed, sitting up. "him and Mom are divorced, I'm sure he's out celebrating, alright? Just... He'll be back in the morning, I'm sure. He might bring like, donuts or something. That's what he does when stuff like this happens."

"Oh," he said and thought about it. "okay!"

With that, he wandered back to his room and fell asleep.

I figured I could help but Estelle to bed after dinner before I was supposed to head back to the boys.

She would not go to bed. The only way she'd fall asleep was literally, if she could lay on me.

So I'm just laying in Sally's bed, Sally isn't in there because she's taking a shower, trying to get Estelle to sleep.

Estelle fell asleep, which was good.

I fell sleep, too.

Laying in a comfy bed with my baby girl on my torso, falling asleep as she had a mini blanket for herself. I was rubbing her back, trying to keep her soothed and it was relaxing.

So I fell asleep.

After a period of time (I was asleep, I don't know), I felt something tap my shoulder and I woke up, slightly worried that it was Estelle falling or something.

"Hm...?" Was all I could say, though, and I saw Sally to the left of me, next to the bed. Wearing almost the same thing she works wear to bed when I first met her: shorts and an old t-shirt.

"I think you did your job a little too well," Sally joked and I cackled just enough so it wouldn't bother Estelle. "I'm going to put her in her crib, alright?"

Just nodding my head, I let Sally take our little girl and just laid there. Much like eating, gods don't need to sleep. We need to relax, not overuse powers. But we don't require sleep.

However, like anything else, once you get used to it? You get tired.

And I didn't sleep last night. Tyson had a bad dream and it woke him up right before I was going to lay down for a few hours so. Which,I don't mind. But I'm tired now.

Almost dazed, I noticed Sally come back into the room after a minute and she squatted to my level.

"Sweetie."

"Hm?"

"Do the boys want you home tonight?" Sally asked. "Because I have to lock the door, I'm going to bed."

I shook my head.

"Nope," I insisted. "I told them that I'd be back, and if they needed me back sooner to call."

I'm assuming that's what I said, at least.

"Alright, then I'll be right back."

Once again, Sally left the room, so I sort of lazily changed into my pajamas. They were on when she got back.

And this time, I was under the blanket, instead of laying on it.

I heard Sally walk over across the bedroom and I opened my eyes to see her crawl into bed, and I smiled. I've been pretty slow with like, being touchy. I gave her a kiss on the temple and that's about it, while we were watching a show after dinner, mainly trying to get Estelle to relax.

She's been through a lot. Recently, and in general ever since I've been with her when she got pregnant with Percy. We have time, I'm not about to rush anything.

But, almost as if everything never happened, Sally cuddled right up next to me and rested her head just under my shoulder, one arm across my torso, the other holding my hand.

It made me smile. Because honestly, I love this woman.

"Mmm... Goodnight, sweetie." Sally said, which made me melt.

"Goodnight, darling."

She hummed in response and we fell asleep.

It felt nice to sleep with somebody I actually cared about.

Percy Jackson

I finally got that checkup Apollo tried to give me after I was, uh, raped. I didn't really want to, but I sucked it up because Grover said we could go get some dessert if I did it.

It still feels weird, physical contact. I guess I don't mind with Grover because he's like, my boyfriend and all. Other people irritate me, though. They hear about what happens or even that just something happened and suddenly they want to hug me and rub my arm and I'm not a fan of that shit at all.

That's reserved for like two people. Grover, and my mom.

If somebody tries to so much as touch me and it's not them, I will cry.

I had to fill out paperwork for like, medical stuff, though, so I was sitting in the big house when Chiron summoned Grover. Which personally, made me anxious that he knew.

Why it'd be bad that Chiron knew that we were together, I'm not sure, but... It just makes me kind of anxious.

"Grover! Hello!" Chiron exclaimed, which made me look up to see my boyfriend. "You made it!"

"Uh, yeah," he responded and I smiled just a little. "I guess I don't know why I wouldn't be able to. What's going on?"

"Nothing to worry about," the centaur assured him. "I was just wondering if you'd be able to head into the city tomorrow to do a small recruiting job. We already have Will planted there as a friend to help get them here easier."

"Oh, yeah!" Grover answered. "I can manage that. Do you have a file yet or...? Any information?"

"Yes, I believe so." Chiron answered before handing him a file. "There you go, Grover, you can go over that and just hand it back to me when you've finished. You know how it is."

So as Chiron went to go do his thing, probably to teach the swordfighting class that I'm supposed to teach, Grover sat next to me.

"And here I was thinking that he was going to ask about us," Grover said, sitting next to me on the couch on the back porch. He exhaled after a second. "Hm...what are you doing tomorrow morning?"

"Me?" I responded and he nodded his head. I learned myself against Grover. I literally hate paperwork. I'm dyslexic. It's not like it's just boring, I can't even read it. "Nothing, I don't think. I was just going to do whatever. Why?"

Grover moved the hair out of my face and I smiled.

"You should come into the city with me in the morning," he suggested. "and I can meet you once Will is set. It shouldn't take long, you can go see your mom! They're by like, north side. We could go out for breakfast, too!"

"Ooh!" I liked the idea of a breakfast date because literally nobody else does it it feels like. "Yeah, we should do that. Make sure my mom's doing alright with Estelle and Paul being gone. I'm sure she is, she raised me, but like... I just like my mom."

"I like your mom, too."

I cackled and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Good," I insisted. "Because if you didn't, you'd literally never hear from me again."
