Macy P.O.V.
It's been about a year since the incident that bought me into Teaberry Orphanage. Considering what has happened, I am doing okay. Robert has kept me on my feet. I feel so comfortable with him. He listens to me anytime I want to talk. I do the same for him. We have such a close friendship, but I can't help but feel something will take me away from my best friend...

Robert's P.O.V.
"Miss Peregrine? Are you down here? I want to ask you if Macy and I can go to-" I started to say walking down the stairs. I stopped when I saw Miss Peregrine was talking to two young guys. They had matching fringe hair cuts. The two guys didn't look very outgoing to adopt a kid. Why were they here?
"All my children here are well mannered. Some have had tough pasts...but they have gotten through them. They deserve the best. Can you give them that? Can you give them the love they deserve?" Miss Peregrine told the two males. They parted their lips in shock then closed them.
"We can handle a child. We're not perfect. We're just...best friends...who want to make a child's life happy. We want to give them the life they deserve." The older male with the black fringe said. Miss Peregrine nodded and handed them the book containing all of the orphan's information.
"Look through this book and tell me which child sounds like the child you would desire." Miss Peregrine told them. The two boys nodded and sat on the visitors couch with the book.
I focused my hearing onto what they were saying. They were scanning the pages closely mumbling about the children.
"Greg...Logan...Lola...Matthew.." The younger male with the brown fringe mumbled out loud.
"How about Robert, Dan?" The older male asked. My heart started racing. They were talking about me?
"He looks nice but I think I want a girl, Phil." Dan responded. Phil nodded back at him.
"Me too." Phil agreed. My heart dropped for a moment. I felt disappointed they didn't want me. Then I thought about Macy. I couldn't leave her! It was a good thing they didn't pick me.
"Nev...Max...Hannah...Felix..." Dan continued to mumble flipping pages. Phil's eyes then caught a glimpse of a girl Dan skipped over.
"Hey Dan. Can you go back to page fourteen?" Phil asked. Dan nodded and turned back. They then both smiled at how cute the girl was.
"Her hair is like ramen noodles!" Phil squealed while Dan read information about Macy.
"Her name is Macy...she's eight years old..." Dan explained to Phil who was intrigued to listen. I stood shocked on the stairs. They wanted Macy? No no no! This can't be happening. I ran up the staircase to find my friend in danger of being adopted.

Dan P.O.V.
"Wow. Her past is really sad." I mumbled reading about Macy. Phil looked over to the book to read about her.
"Yeah.." Phil agreed sadly. This girl seemed to cloud my mind. I felt the need to adopt her. I was sure she was the one for Phil and I.
"Dan...I want this girl." Phil said quietly with a smile. I nodded to his statement.
"Me too. She deserves a bright future after all she's been through." I told Phil with a grin. I closed the book and walked over to Miss Peregrine sitting at her desk. She smiled at us with her pearly white teeth.
"Yes gentlemen? Are you interested in any of my children?" Miss Peregrine asked us. I looked at Phil then looked back at her ready to say our choice.
"We would like to meet Macy Deyes." I said with certainty.
