Macy P.O.V.
Robert..no..he left me. No, I left him. I didn't mean to hurt him. Robert has never been easy going with change. He wanted things to stay as they were, us always together. He couldn't accept weekly phone calls and a few visits. It's too much for him. It would be too many changes.
I hugged my legs close to my chest and I slumped onto the walls. My tears kept coming. I lost my best friend. I chose people I don't know over my best friend. That's not even the worst part. I always want to spend time with him. I listen to him closely and study is facial expressions. I knew everything about him. I think I loved him.

Miss Peregrine P.O.V.
"Miss Peregrine? Is Macy going to come down to meet us soon?" Dan asked me. I tapped my finger on my chin.
"She usually comes down at this time to have Lunch. I'm going to go check on her to see if everything is alright. Please wait here gentlemen." I said politely. They nodded their heads and smiled. I walked up the spiral staircase and looked down at the hall of rooms. In the middle of it I saw little Macy sobbing on the floor. I instantly walked over there.
"Macy? What's wrong?" I said as I wrapped her in a hug. She soaked my sleeve with tears.
"Robert heard someone wanted to adopt me and I was happy. He was not. He wanted me to stay and I wanted to take this chance to be adopted. He told me our friendship was over and I lost him." She cried into my sleeve.
"Oh sweetie. I'm so sorry. Things like this happen all the time here but you have to stay strong. Two nice young gentlemen down there want to adopt you. Sure, you won't have a mother really. But they are good friends who want to adopt a child. They chose you. Please come down to meet them?" I asked her. She lifted her head up from my arm and sniffed up her tears.
   "Okay." Macy said
