Man, I cannot believe it's a brand new year... Honestly, it feels like it should be only June or something... 

You guys deserve a little bit of an update on my life. Seriously, it's been the longest time since you guys were updated. So many things have happened... 

Short version: 

Camille is totally attached to Levi now. Ryan has been expelled from school for bad behavior and is being home schooled. I've made some amazing new friends: Belle, Ash and Samantha. (names changed. If any of you read Soul Mate, then they're the people I based off of for the series. Fun fact.) They've honestly been my sanity lately... I'm so close to failing calculus. The trilogy I'm working on (Soul Mate) is taking up a lot of my time. 

I honestly don't think it can get more short than that. 

For those of you who want the details, feel free to stay. I haven't even written in my journey to Joshua Tree National Park or Christmas in my actual real journal yet... Wow... 

I'm gonna start with Cam and Levi. 

WARNING: RANT AHEAD. WILL BE MARKED BELOW IF YOU WISH TO SKIP

Ugh oh my gosh. Those two have been driving me up the wall! Levi is leaving for his mission in less than 20 days, and Cam could not be more attached. Yes, I understand that she won't see him in, like, two years, but honestly... It's hard being the best friend to someone who won't even give you the slightest bit of attention when they're around their "boyfriend". 

Honestly guys.... I just... I'm so tired of being pushed off to the side. Every time Camille gets a new "boy toy" I'm left to scramble for some sort of sanity provider. 

Luckily I've been on Christmas Break for the past two weeks, but at lunch time in school, Camille doesn't even seem to notice me anymore... She just turns all of her attention to Levi -- who visits "us" (cough CAM cough) every day -- and forgets I'm there. 

RANT (MOSTLY) FINISHED

I've made some really amazing friends because of this, though. Belle has been a life saver. She's a senior this year and is one of the best people you will ever meet. She's random, silly, and has THE CUTEST LAUGH EVER! Oh my gosh, guys, she wheezes when she laughs so hard and it's adorable! 

(unlike me who snorts and sounds like a dying, fat pig)

Belle and I are actually sitting next to each other as we write. It's kinda funny to think that even though she's going to be leaving this next year that we've become such good friends. In all honesty, she's a lot like me. We like similar things, we have the similar interests, and heck, she puts up with my weird blabberings about my future. That's got to mean something, right?

On top of Belle, I also have become friends with Samantha and Ash. Ash is one of those people who are really kind, but when they get angry, they can punch your lights out. Her and Ryan never got along, which I think was actually the key that introduced me to her. She has it hard, though... Her parents are divorced and she's not exactly happy with where she is. She's a junior like I am, so I'll be able to see her next year. Sam and Belle have to go, though... 

Anyway, I have to tell you guys about Sam. She is one of the most spastic people you will ever meet, but when you really get to know her, you can see the spirituality that radiates from her. It's something that really strikes me as special with her. Sam can turn anything into a happy situation, almost just by being there. I was in her bathroom previously today and saw some beautiful things on her mirror. There were quotes, scriptures, and pictures of Christ posted on one edge. I took the time to stand in front of the mirror for a moment. I love Samantha. She's such a spiritual refresher. Belle has a very similar effect, so I don't mean to leave her out or anything haha. 

We've had so many adventures together. Belle, Sam and I got together today and had one of the best experiences ever. Belle had set up some reservations to the temple that we live very close by to, and along with her cousin, Sam and I joined the trip. The temple was so peaceful... 

After we finished with that, we stopped in at Wendy's to get lunch. It was so funny because the fancy  drink machine was out of pretty much everything, so poor Belle didn't get her emotional need of Dr. Pepper filled. Haha, it's alright, though. She got it from the gas station later on. ;)

Belle's mom soon picked us up after that. We stopped by my house and picked  up my mini van, Fran (yes I have a mini van called Fran. I also have a phone called Adalyn, a Chromebook named Cassy, a charging cable named Chase, and my keys named Kiara) and we then headed over to Sam's house. 

And, let's not forget, Cassy the Chromebook joined me in this journey. We watched Pride and Prejudice (which I've never seen okay?) and had a great time laughing, giggling, and writing. 

Now, at this lovely time in my life, I am sitting in front of Cassy while enjoying the wonderful room of Belle's. 

You know, I don't want to go back to school. The first day of school in the New Year starts on Monday, and I really really don't want to get back into the whole daily routine of Cam and Levi... Nor do I want to deal with Calculus. 

Yeah... about that, I am pretty much almost failing. I have a C-, which isn't bad, but my teacher doesn't give Ds. Seriously, it's either a C- or an F. I am balancing right on the edge of C-, which isn't a lot of fun. If I don't get 100% on an assignment, it drops to an F. How annoying is that? 

I guess the reason I'm failing so badly is the fact that, well, I'm working on a FREAKING THREE BOOK SERIES! For crying out loud, I would rather sit in a class and write  instead of doing stupid worksheets... I literally have the first book's rough draft finished and ready to be sent into an editor, and the second book's rough draft is 75 pages along. 

I'm trying to look for some good beta readers for the book I'm trying to send into publication. If any of you are interested, please just contact me. 

Honestly... I feel so lost... I don't have anyone to help me through the process of publication. I have a book all ready to be sent in, but I don't know what to do. Do I go plead on an internet site? Do I go through a painstakingly long process of self-publishing? Guys, I'm so desperate... I'm literally going to start crying, I am so overwhelmed. 

Can you see why I'm failing calculus and not English?

I seriously am just trying to ignore the fact that I have to go home and read a book, color a poster, and check and see if I missed any math. 

Well, Belle has to write an essay. Go figure.

OH THAT'S WHAT I FORGOT! I HAVE CHEMISTRY HOMEWORK. STUPID MR. SHULER!
