Sorry for the super long break! But here's the next chapter. I'm thinking on rewriting the prequel to this, I Hate Hypocrites To Death, but I'll publish it in another story. How 'bout that?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kuzui stood there, frozen in shock. He couldn't move and stood rooted to the ground. The man standing in front of him didn't notice him, but Kuzui did in fact find him familiar. So very familiar. Like an old friend that he hasn't seen for a long time. Like someone he knew from long ago, yet, Kuzui felt as if he had done something to betray him. Betray them. Todoroki eyes scanned over the crowd, and his eyes came over Kuzui. He immediately shook his shock off. Seeing the pink haired girl getting up, Kuzui helped her, trying to ignore the widened eyes of Todoroki. Kuzui looked up for one second to see Todoroki had noticed him. At that point, he felt himself tremble, nervous for some odd reason. With his hand around the pink haired girl, he ran off.
He turned around a few corners, before finally stopping, noticing that he grabbed her hand. He let go, his face tinged red with embarrassment.
"A-ah... S-Sorry.. for grabbing your hand..." He stuttered, looking down to the ground nervously. Emily was surprised that he grabbed her so abruptly but, she wasn't angry.
"It's alright. I didn't particularly mind, and it's a bit fortunate for me you did that." She smiled back. "I'd rather not be swarmed by reporters asking me why I would do such a stupid thing."
"Oh.. I guess I'd be the same..." He realized what he spoke was a little strange and added on quickly. "I mean if I were in your situation." She gave a puzzled expression before it turned to a smile.
"Anyways, you have my gratitude for dragging me away!" Her grin never faltered, giving Kuzui a warm feeling in his chest. She stretched out her hand and introduced herself to him. "I'm Emily, Emily Frontier. I'm also an aspiring Hero, although I might be a bit too old for that."
"-N-no! I think you'd be a great hero!" He stammered slightly and and shook her hand, blushing at his speech. "I'm Kuzui. You can just call me by my name."
"Then you should call me by Emily too! It'd be awkward if you called me by my last name, since it doesn't sound Japanese at all." She shook his hand back with vigour. "I'm part French. Me and my brother moved here from France a few years ago in hopes of being able to do something good."
"You mean to become a hero?" Kuzui questioned, admiring her courage and determination to say her dream out loud.
"Yes, but I guess my brother's definition of doing something 'good' is a bit different." Emily's face fell, turning to an expression of disappointment. "He doesn't want me to become a hero, because it would be dangerous. I know it's for my sake, but he's just too overprotective!"
"I'm sure he'll come around to it eventually..." He trailed off, not knowing how to comfort her.
"You don't understand.." Her expression changed to one of worry. "He seems like he's hiding something, ever since we moved from France." Kuzui said nothing and allowed her to continue. "I just don't know what to do about it.."
"..Emily," Kuzui let the name roll off his tongue so naturally. "If you think he's doing this for your sake, you should decide whether or not you'll trust your brother. Trust that he understands what you want, and why. If not, then tell him that your worried and about your true feelings. If he still doesn't tell you, at least he knows how you feel. Then," He gave a smile, one that seemed innocent but was indeed mischievous by his words. "if you want, find out for yourself." Emily's eyes were slightly wide, her expression was one of shock, but a pleasant type of shock. She smiled, her golden eyes closing slightly.
"Thank you Kuzui." Her words were genuine and happy. "I don't know why I can speak to you like this, but I'm glad I did talk to you."
"Me too. It was enjoyable, talking to you." He also couldn't understand why he spoke to her in such a way. Elsewhere, no one would've cared for his opinion.
"Then, I'd better get going. My brother will worry when I'm not back on time!" She turned her back, waving as she walked. "See you later Kuzui!"
"See you." Kuzui replied with his own wave, watching as her figure disappeared over the horizon. Time to go back, to the empty house with his 'family'.
Todoroki couldn't believe his eyes, and spent more than half of the afternoon pondering about it. He sat at his desk in his office, his hand at his temples and a headache coming on soon. It was impossible.
That person should've already disappeared.
As he sat there rubbing his temples, a shout came from outside the door. He paid it no attention, focusing on the thoughts in his mind. A moment later, a loud BANG resounded from the outside, nearly shaking the documents off the desk. This time, Todoroki lifted his head towards the commotion. Soon enough, the double doors were busted up with a explosive kick. Bakugo, ever so ungracefully, strided in with his back straight and full of the same confidence he'd had since way back.
"What's with this trashy office?" He referred to the size of the room, and the less fancy decorations like a covered lamp. "And here I thought you were the No. 1 hero." Todoroki frowned at his unnecessary comment.
"Still am, and you won't be able to change that any time soon." Todoroki replied without much expression, causing the ash blond to have a beyond angry expression. It was the one point he hated the most. After all, he grew up and went through high school thinking he'd be the best. But perhaps that changed after Izuku's death. "Well then, what are you here for?" Todoroki asked, still having a lot on his mind.
"Just to annoy you." Bakugo nearly snarled at the No. 1 Hero. "What're you doing so tied up in your mind for?" Todoroki thought for a moment, deciding between two options. Telling him what he saw, or not telling him. Todoroki chose the first option, knowing he wouldn't be able to get it out of his mind if he didn't.
"I just came back from a mission, to release a hostage from a villain and capturing them." He started off slowly. Bakugo didn't really expect him to tell him the reason, as he was only trying to annoy Todoroki, but nonetheless listened on. He knew at the very least that it was serious. "After I finished with the mission, in the midst of the crowd, I thought I saw a familiar face." Bakugo's expression stiffened as he opened his mouth to speak, this time not spouting an insult.
"You mean.. him?" Bakugo frowned at the thought. "That's impossible. He's long dead."
"I know." Todoroki's expression changed to a worrying suspicion. "But, we never found the body, did we?"
