I looked at the small figure in shock. It was a young male with bubblegum pink hair. He wore a loose white shirt and tight ripped black pants. He had his head down, his legs pulled up and was sobbing into his knees.

"Are you alright?" I asked gently, reaching a hand out to him, touching his shoulder.

When he looked up in surprise, my mouth dropped open. He was easily one of the most beautiful men I had ever seen in my life. He had pretty delicate features and plush lips stained a bright pink.

"Don't hurt me!" he cried, shrinking back against the tree, tears rolling down his plump cheeks and a look of absolute terror on his beautiful face.

I kneeled down next to him, but kept a far enough distance away to try and calm him down. "I'm not going to hurt you," I said gently. "Can I help you? Are you hurt?"

The young man looked up at me then resumed sobbing. I didn't think he was injured, just sad. Clearly, I wasn't helping him, so I made a move to get to my feet, but a hand shot out and grabbed my wrist. The hand was surprisingly strong.

"Are you leaving? Why are you leaving?" he asked, panic in his voice.

I peeled his fingers off my wrist and got to my feet. "I have to leave. I wanted to make sure you were okay," I said.

"Why do you have to leave? Where are you going?" he asked.

I hesitated then answered the strange young man. "I have to help my brother. He's been cursed. I am going to see the Dark Wizard," I explained. "Now I really must be leaving."

I turned to go, but stopped when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned towards him and was surprised once again. He was several inches taller than me and his tight pants did nothing to hide his amazing body.

"Are you going by yourself?" he asked, disbelief in his voice.

I gave him a strange look. Uh duh I thought to myself. "Do you see anyone with me? Of course I am going alone," I said, irritation in my voice. I didn't have time to chitchat with this strange man.

"Can I go with you? Please?" he pleaded. "Maybe the Dark Wizard can help me too!"

I hesitated before answering. "Help you with what?" I asked.

The young man looked down at his feet as big fat tears started to roll down his cheeks.

Oh god! Here we go again I said to myself, rolling my eyes. I felt bad for whatever he was going through, but I really didn't have time for this.

"I've been cursed by the witch in the Night Woods," he said softly.

"How were you cursed?" I asked, my curiosity getting the best of me.

The young man sighed. "I was in the Night Woods looking for a flower for a spell. I didn't realize I had wandered so close to the witch's cabin. She attacked me and cursed me. She said it was my punishment for being in her lair. Even though we're technically allowed to be in the Night Woods," he explained.

"How did she curse you?" I asked, a slight interest in my voice.

The young man's tears continued to spill down his cheeks. "She took away my wings and my powers," he said sadly.

Wings and powers? That must make him...

"Yes. I'm a fairy," he said, reading my expression. "But clearly not a very good one without wings and powers."

"Why can't you go alone?" I questioned. I started making my way back to the path, the young man following along behind me like a lost puppy.

He sighed again. "I can't let a pretty young woman visit the Dark Wizard alone. You don't know what kinds of things you'll meet along the way. I can help you."

I scoffed at his serious look. "Really? You think you can help me?"

He turned his face away and huffed, offended. "Yes. I can help you. I'm stronger than I look," he said.

I lifted an eyebrow in disbelief. How strong can a fairy possibly be?

"I see you don't believe me," he said, a look of frustration on his beautiful face. "I promise you I can take care of you."

I sighed then shook my head. "Look fairy," I began, but then was interrupted.

"Jimin," he said, with a huff. "My name is Jimin, not fairy."

"Whatever," I said, "I appreciate the offer, but I really must go. I'm sorry for your curse, but I can't look after someone else and myself."

Jimin stomped his foot like a child. "You really don't know much about fairies, do you?" he asked, a pout on his plush lips.

I shook my head. "Not really. Not one of the supernatural beings I was interested in studying. They always seemed so pretty and ... delicate," I said finally, after searching for the most polite term. I didn't want to admit that I always thought fairies were weak.

Jimin rolled his eyes. "Fairies are pretty and delicate, yes, but male fairies are surprisingly strong," he replied.

I waved my hands in surrender. "Okay, great. I'm sorry, but I really have to go." I turned away, but was stopped by a harsh tug on my hand.

"Please take me with you," Jimin pleaded. "I need the Dark Wizard's help and I promise I can protect you."

I sighed then nodded my head. "Fine," I said finally. "But if something happens to you, I won't hesitate to leave you behind."

Jimin nodded his head. "Don't worry. You won't have to protect me," he said.

"Then let's go fairy," I said, the annoyance clear in my voice.

"My name is Jimin, not fairy," Jimin said again, frustration visible on his face.

"Whatever your name is, let's go," I replied, heading towards the path, not waiting to see if he was following me or not.

"What is your name?" Jimin asked.

"Y/N," I replied hesitantly, stopping to look at him. Although Jimin seemed harmless, I didn't fully trust him just yet.

Jimin held out a hand to me and I put my hand in his. His hand was surprisingly warm as he closed his fingers around mine and brought my hand to his lips. "Pleasure to meet you," he said softly, kissing the top of my hand.

I stared at him in surprisefor a moment then quickly pulled my hand back. "Yes," I said carefully. "It'snice to meet you, too. Now let's go."
