Iris sat, bathing in the sun, while watching her children play in the snow. Deiago tossed a snow ball at Mira but it missed the target. Mira flicked her tail and snow piled ontop of Deiago. Mira fell on the soft ground laughing as Deiago tried to dig his way out. He became bored and set himself a flame. The snow melted away quickly, and they continued on with their game.

Their power was a great relief and a great stress for Iris. She saw no close end to the Phantom's War. They could protect each other. At least they will be safe when I'm not around. That's what Iris told herself anyway. But on the other hand, power can corrupt. It would kill her to see her little angel's hearts blackend by power lust. But thoughts of destruction faded as she watched the younge cranes play carefully with their powers.

Mira spread her wings and held them high above her head. Between her wings, a small ball of ice started yo spin. As it spun it got larger, and as it got larger, the faster it would spin. Mira started to panic at the increasing power she held.

"Deiago, move away! Its out of control! I don't want it to hit you." She yelled.

He nodded and flapped his wings hard to fly into the air. At the same moment, Mira shot the ice out and it pounded through the stone behind him. Iris dove over to check for injuries. Mira was fine and Deiago had barely missed the ice sphere.

"I'm sorry Deiago!" Mira cried.

Deiago laughed. "Don't be sorry! You did not try to hit me. Accidents happen!"

Mira smiled at her forgiving brother.

Suddenly a dark shadow was cast on the ground where they stood. The trio looked up in shock to see an enormous black bird diving for them. Mira and Deiago backed out of the shadow in fear. Iris stood still, looking up at the approaching figure. With tears in her eyes she shouted,

"Jamaa!"
