By the time they got there, it was too late. It was Deiago who found their parents. They where mangled up with missing feathers and their bodies charred from the electric skin of phantoms.

Mira and Deiago where silent while they burried their beloved parents. They stood at their grave for hours on end. Not really thinking nor dreaming. They did not know what to do.

She felt as if this where a dream. That it was some terrible nightmare that she will wake up from. Then her mom will kiss her and tell her everything's OK. She kept waiting to wake up. Waiting for proof that this isn't happening. For once in her life all Mira wanted was to wake up.

Deiago felt nothing. He felt no loss, no pain, no sorrow. He felt nothing, because there was nothing. His heart has been eaten out by the shock. He knew what was going on, he knew this was all real but, he didn't feel like anything.

Deiago was raised to love, be kind, and patient. But something inside him told him, kill or be killed. He could not shake this thought. He did not want to. He wanted these words to linger in his mind forever.

Deiago turned tail and calmly walked away. Mira looked over her shoulder and cried.

"Deiago...? Please don't leave me.. I don't want to be alone."

He paused. And muttered

"We where always alone Mira... Come with me if you desire company but don't come if you seek comfort because you will receive none."

He started strolling down the scorched pathway again.

Mira started to follow him. Blinking tears away she replied.

"Deiago? You don't really mean that, do you? Now is not time for jokes."

He halted and turned his head. His once big, livley, yellow eyes had turned into black spheres that only held death in them. Her eyes widened with fear.

"I meant every word I said. Do not talk to me unless I request it. Do you understand?" His voice was toneless and sharp.

Mira didn't want to go with him, she wanted to fly as far away as she could from him. He wasn't the brother she had grown with and loved, this was a monster, thirsting for blood.

But as much as she wanted away, she didn't want to be alone. So she nodded.

"Good." He blandly replied. He turned once more and walked down the path.

And Mira quietly followed.
