The days just seem to drag on, like nothing mattered anymore. Shock had worn over and depression has taken effect on poor Mira. Deiago still calmly lead the way through the twisting paths.

Occasionally he stops and looks a place over. It gives Mira a chance to sit and rest alitle while then they continue their long journey.

Neither of the siblings ever talk any more. They stay as quiet as possible. Deiago barks orders three times a day. Mostly stating that they are going to walk, eat, sleep, and so on.

Deiago does not shows emotions anymore, probably because he might not have them anymore.

Mira stared at the ground, thinking about the ground feeling pain when you walk on it. She paused and looked up. The clouds where dangling in the sky. She continued walking.

Deiago halted and looked over the ridge. Mira had not been looking at the landscape, and it surprised her. It was very green, with scattered trees and long rolling hills. Over a small hill, thick, black smoke arose in the distance. Deiago spread his wings and took off towards the smoke. Mira eagerly followed him.

Mira was horrified when they landed in the town. It was burned to the ground, nothing was left. Deiago folded his wings and continued to stroll down the stone roads.

As they progressed through the town, the views didn't get better. All Mira could see was a hard black shell covering the ground, and from it, a steady stream of thick black smoke.

A small stone from a house started to topple over. Mira walked over to find a small, blueish wolf pup tumble from under the stone. He looked up at Mira and trembled. Mira layed down with the little pup until he stopped shaking. His big pleading yellow eyes had becond her to stay.

Mira then looked up, she had lost track of her brother. She looked frantically around. The pup placed his tiny paw on her silky wing. When she looked down on the pup, she saw he needed her, and she needed him.

Mira then realized she was not alone anymore. She smiled at him, and he smiled back.

"I'm Mira, what is your name?" She asked.

"Greely."
