The girls sat down in the blue booth seats at the Bluebird Diner, Ysa's choice, for lunch. Ysa and Caitlin sat beside each other, leaving Indigo to herself on the other side of the table.

Caitlin was sat closet to the wall, almost trying to make sure Ysa could hide her incase any Hawkeye fans came in. But, Caitlin wasn't doing that good of a job as she was wearing Hawkeye pants along with a Hawkeye women's basketball sweatshirt.

"Ya know for someone who doesn't wanna be recognized, you sure do wear an awful lot of Hawkeye basketball clothes" Indigo laughed sipping on her Sprite.

"I swear that's the only stuff in her closet" the blonde laughed, causing a side eye to be given to her from her girlfriend.

"She's wearing Kate's Edwardsville basketball sweatshirt!" Cait pointed out by sticking her finger dramatically at Indigo.

"Ok, I've had this since I was like 15, so give me a break" the girl rolled her eyes before she crossed her arms.

"It literally says 'Martin' on that back, but whatever" the basketball player shrugged as she scooted herself closer to Ysa and placed her hand on the girls thigh.

The rest of lunch went by quickly, mostly Ysa having to make sure Indigo and Caitlin don't raise their voices to an outside level. No matter where Indigo and Caitlin went together they always ended up acting like they were 12 year old boys, and Ysa was their mom.

"So, Indigo, why was Ms. Martin on our couch a few mornings ago?" Ysa asked as the group walked out of the diner. Indigo's eyes widen as she looked over at Ysa.

"You didn't tell me this!" Caitlin gasped playfully hitting Ysa's arm.

"Because I was having a little panic moment, and my mom wasn't answering me and you weren't home, so I texted her" the girl just shrugged walking a little bit ahead of the two other girls whose arms were linked together. "It was nothing. We watched Footloose, ate ice cream, and talked"

"And what would've happened if Sienna wasn't in the picture?" the blonde teased nudging her best friend.

"Probably the same thing. Kate has made it so fucking obvious that she does not like me and never has" she said with a small laugh, trying to not show that it actually hurt that her feelings were always one sided.

"What? That's not true" Caitlin joined in. "She's had a crush on you since, well I met her in her sophomore year, and she still had a crush on you then"

"If that's true...why did she push me away when she went to college, hm?" Indigo questioned turning around to look at Caitlin. Her hands were in her sweatshirt pocket as she walked backwards, the wind hitting her back and making her hair fly in her face.

"Because she liked you..." the brunette stared confused as she looked at her, "no wonder y'all never kissed until now. You're both idiots"

"I feel like she definitely knew that I would've been with her if she told me how she felt. She didn't have to push me away" Indi dropped her shoulders before she turned around and continued walking.
