As the door opened Kate was met with a tearful Indigo. The blonde saw the mascara tear stains on her cheeks and her messy hair as she looked at her, "I'm sorry, it's just that my mom wasn't answering and Ysa is out, a—and I didn't want to bother you cause you were probably about to go to bed, but I just need someone to talk to" the girl rambled out as the blonde made her way into the apartment dropping grocery bags onto the table before quickly bringing the girl into a hug.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. Just tell me what's going on" Kate whispered in the girls ear as her hand found its way to the girls hair, gently smoothing it.

"I don't even know" Indigo responded with her voice cracking as she tried holding back tears from spilling out of her eyes. "Just everything—it's all so much and it just happened so, so, so fast" the girl spoke almost as if there wasn't going to be air left in her lungs as she tried getting all of her words out in a fast pace.

"Let's sit down, if that's ok?" Kate asked bending down to find Indigo's eyes, the girl just nodded her head before Kate took her hands and brought them both to the couch. "We can just sit here if that's what you want. And then if you want to talk about anything we can" Kate's voice was comforting as she talked to the girl trying to calm her.

"Mhm, that'd be nice" Indi nodded wiping the tears from under her eyes.

"I brought your favorite, strawberry ice cream" the blonde smiled resting her hands on Indigo's legs.

"Why are you the most perfect girl ever" the junior smiled for the first time of the day.

"And then maybe I can make you some popcorn, hm?" Kate cocked her head to the side, meeting the girl's eyes. Indigo just laughed at the way Kate pronounced the word popcorn, as if it had an a in it. "What?"

"Nothing, nothing" Indigo shook her head, "the papcorn would amazing"

"Shut up" Kate laughed getting off the couch and grabbing the tub of strawberry ice cream along with two spoons. She then head back and popped open the tub and handed it to the other girl. Kate handed her both the spoons before she walked over to the tv, "I know you have it somewhere" the blonde mumbled to herself as she looked around until landing on the Footloose dvd.

She then popped it inside the dvd player and grabbed the remote turning on the tv and then hitting play on the movie. Kate then grabbed a blanket and joined the girl back on the couch, putting the fluffy blanket over the both of them.

"Let me get some of that" the blonde giggled scooting closer and grabbing one the spoons before dipping it into the ice cream container.

As the movie came to a close and Indigo had her head rested against Kate's knees, the girl felt the courage to ask what had happened early that made her break down. "Indi? Do you wanna talk now?" the girls voice was quiet as her hand rubbed the other girls back gently.

Indigo sat up quickly and rested her back against the arm of the couch. "It's stupid, really" she started, shaking her head embarrassed about it. "I don't know I think the tip of the ice berg was the fact I keep seeing things that remind me of my dad, and then along with that being cheated on, again. Like, God, is there something on me that just screams 'Cheat on me!' or something?" she let deep breath, "And then this broken fucking hand" she said plopping the hand covered in athletic tape on Kate's legs.

"You know it's not your fault she cheated, right?"

"Yeah, yeah" Indi just shook her head, "that's what everyone says, but come on, in my first relationship I got cheated on and then now my second one! I'm literally twenty and got cheated on twice! Like what the fuck?"

"It's because the people you date are idiots and don't deserve you" the blonde replied taking Indi's hands in hers.

"Maybe I should just become a sister" Indigo shrugged, "move to Nashville join the Dominican sisters, ya know"

"Ok, I don't think that's gonna solve your problems" Kate let out a laugh. "You just haven't found your person yet, and that's ok"

"God, I just wish I could have what you and Sienna do" Indigo confessed dropping her head onto her hand and looking at Kate. "You're just so sweet to her, and I mean of course you are. You're the sweetest person ever"

Even though Kate admires how sweet and kinda Sienna is, there was just no passion between them. It's only been easy, and she doesn't want easy. She wants someone that she would fight to stay with. Someone that makes her feel like she is learning new parts of herself everyday.

Kate just nodded her head as a response, not really knowing what to say. "You wanna head to bed?" she asked, noticing that Indigo had let out a big yawn.

"Mhm" she hummed.

"I'll sleep on the couch" Kate announced as she stayed put watching Indigo get up.

"You sure? Ysa isn't coming home tonight, so you can sleep in there if you want" Indi shrugged turning around.

"It's good, the couch is comfy as hell" Kate smiled.

"Ok goodnight weirdo" Indi giggled walking off into the hallway and going into her room. She snuggled up with the manta-ray stuffed animal Ysa had gotten her for her birthday two years ago.
