Linnie sighed as she would have to tell her daughter the news. "Talia. I have something to tel you." Talia looked up and said "what is it?" "Your father and I have been talking. And we decided that you should go and live with him for a year." She said. Talia shook her head and said "no. I want to stay here. Ilvermorny is my home. I don't want to leave my friends behind." "You'd be going to Hogwarts. It's amazing school. Your father and I went there." Linnie said. Talia sighed and said "it'd only be a year?" "Yes. Your father wants to see you." "I haven't seen him in years. Why does he want to see me all of a sudden?" Talia asked. Linnie frowned. Her husband worked as an Auror and Linnie wanted to move to America to work for the ministry there. Erick chose to stay behind and that was years ago. "Pack your things. Your father is expecting you." Talia stood up and began to pack her belongings. Linnie took her daughter to her husband's lavish home in London. "Talia, my darling daughter." Erick said as he walked over. He hugged Talia who didn't hug back at first. She slowly wrapped her arms around him, a tear going down her cheek. "I've got all your things you'll need for Hogwarts. And you'll just go back to Hufflepuff." Her father pulled away and Talia quickly wiped the tear away. "They're going to let me back into Hufflepuff?" She said. Erick nodded and said "of course! That's your house. Even though you did Hogwarts for one year that's your house and you can't switch." Talia half smiled and said "that's nice of them." A feeling of hope washed over Talia. She had made one friend way back when at Hogwarts. A boy named Dale Dovetail. She wondered what he'd look like now. "Linnie, I've missed you." Erick said to his wife. Talia let her parents have a moment and she went inside the house. It looked the same. Nothing had changed. She walked up the stairs to her bedroom which was completely different since she was no longer a child. All of her Hufflepuff things laid inside and she felt a lot better about the situation. She missed her friends in America but maybe Hogwarts wouldn't be so bad.

When she arrived at the platform she looked at the Hogwarts express, a feeling of dread. "Great." She mumbled. She had forgotten about this part. And as a new student this would suck. She lugged her things onto the train and went to find a cabin that was empty, to her delight she found one, going inside and closing the door. Talia felt odd in her Hufflepuff robe. She looked out the window as the train started moving. Not even a few minutes into the ride, the cabin door opened. Her eyes widened and a boy stood there. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the train's full. Could I sit in here with you?" He asked. Talia nodded, not saying a word. The boy came in, closing the door behind him. He stared at her and Talia said "what?" "Sorry. You just look like someone. A friend I used to have." "Dale?" Talia said softly. "Yes?" "It's me. Talia." Dale practically jumped out of his seat and went to hug her. Talia stood up so he could and he said "I thought I'd never see you again. You just left. And it broke my heart." "I missed you too. When my mom told me I'd be going to Hogwarts. I got excited cause I remembered that I'd get to see you." Talia said. Dale pulled away and said "so are you permanently here? At Hogwarts?" Talia looked down and said "my mom only wants me here a year. But I think if I like it, I'll stay." Dale frowned and said "I just got you back and you're gonna leave?" Talia didn't realize how much she had missed the boy in front of her. Being in America made her forget all about her life at Hogwarts. "I'm not leaving just yet. Don't think about that, Dale. We're finally back together and I'd like to make some good memories." Dale nodded and said "you're right. So, how's America?"

When they finally reached Hogwarts, Talia got more nervous. She was stopped by McGonagall who told her Dumbledore was going to welcome her back. Talia took a breath and listened to the speech Dumbledore gave to start the new year. "And one last thing. I'm proud to welcome back a student who was here a few years back, Talia Fogs." Talia stepped into the great hall and everyone's eyes were on her. Dale smiled really big and clapped, which caused everyone else to. Fred and George Weasley looked over at the new girl. "She's pretty." Ron said aloud. Hermione and Ginny rolled their eyes. George's eyes widened as Talia walked to the Hufflepuff table. Fred smirked at his brother's expression. Talia sat down next to Dale and the attention was taken off of her. However, George couldn't stop looking at her. Dumbledore began to talk about the Tri-Wizard Tournament. And that two other schools would be at Hogwarts. The Beauxbatons and Dursmstrang. Once they arrived and sat down Dumbledore announced that no one under the age of seventeen could enter the tournament. "That's rubbish!" George yelled. "Oh, come on!" Fred added. "That's not fair!" Dale said. "You don't know what you're doing!" "BOOOOOO!" Talia looked over at the twins, slightly smiling at their outburst. She couldn't believe the twins had actually booed Dumbledore. Dumbledore quickly silenced everyone and finished the rules. Talia didn't know it but she'd be in for an adventure involving the goblet of fire.
