Personality

Ben is a foul-mouthed person but at the same time trustworthy, quick-witted, eccentric, cool-headed, and dependable person.

While he is aggressive toward devils, he doesn't openly discriminate them as he believes that they aren't truly evil beings, due to certain devils like Charlie and her friends, who are trying to redeem sinners in Hell to be sent to Heaven, are good ones and respect them completely, and is even lenient toward some of them, sparing those who deserve it. He even feels sympathy toward those like Denji, Reze, Angel Dust, Moxxie, and Octavia, while disgusted with those like Crimson, Stella, Valentino, Katana Man, and Makima.

As for angels, while Ben likes them, especially those like Emily and Saint Peter, he often disapproves of some of their actions such as Sera allowing Adam to take charge of Exterminations and seeing Lute's bloodlust in killing all demons and her action against Vaggie.

As someone who likes Kamen Riders, particularly that of Heisei Era, he tends to use some of the catchphrases used by past Kamen Riders or possessing some of their traits, such as saying Wizard's "It's Showtime", or Kuuga's thumbs up.

Background

Ben was born to son of Marshall and Gemma Woods. Ever since he was a child, much like his father who was a scientist, Ben would perform science experiments, in which his father encouraged him to become a great person who used science to help out others in need. He also became a great fan of Kamen Rider growing up, especially the Heisei Era.

When Ben was 13 years old, he became aware of his mother being a Devil Hunter. Seeing how strong his mother was, Ben asked one day if he could help his mother, which she happily replied he would since Ben was strong.

At some point after, Marshall and Gemma were both killed by a Devil. However, due to the two forming a contract with six of the high-ranking Devils in Hell: Carmilla Carmine, Zestial, Rosie, Stolas, Asmodeus, and Beelzebub, Ben survived and the Devil was destroyed by the six, and due to his parents' contract the six demons became bound to Ben to protect him.

After that, he was sent to live with his uncle, Carlton, who owned a farm. There he helped out with many farm works and bonded with some of the animals. This also inspired him to develop the Vistamp System based on animals.

Sometime after he made a breakthrough in developing the Vistamp System where it helped out many Devil Hunters and government agencies based on supernatural research. During this time he made an enemy of Team RWBY due to their differing ideals, mindsets, and personalities.

Later on, he met Taeho Yeun, a young CEO of Genm Corp who has developed his own Rider System based on the video games he has created. Taeho's eccentric side despite his God complex made him easily befriend Ben, and the two became great friends ever since, Taeho using some of his company's money to fund Ben's research.

Ben later discovered his father's research in developing the Chimera Driver. Seeing how it could be improved and perfected, he used his own research and along with help from his Devils, to develop the Juuga Driver. At some point later on, he used the Vistamps to make contract with three Devils previously under control of Makima, the Control Devil until her defeat at the hands of Kamen Rider Evol, and another one who embodied primal fear.

With ten devils, Ben completed the Juuga Driver and used it to become the ultimate devil hunter, Kamen Rider Juuga.

Due to his parents' contract to protect Ben, he has six Devils in which three are Overlords, one from Ars Goetia, and two of Seven Deadly Sins in which his parents passed down to, and they are bound to Ben.

Later on with the Vistamps, Ben contracted four more Devils, three of which were under Makima's control and one being a Devil of primal fear.

Ben uses the Vistamps to replenish their vitality, boost their powers, and heal them when they are injured.
