"You wanna talk to this criminal even though the captain told you to stay out of it." Even though she was technically talking to Caitlyn, she didn't actually look at her. Her attention was captured by the entirety of the Stillwater prison. She had never been here before and her curiosity was getting the best of her.

"Yes, now stay close! I have a feeling this really isn't the place for you to get lost in alright." Cait waited for her partner to actually look at her face, which did take a few seconds, but after she saw how serious she was she nodded slowly.

"Good, now let's go."

The two walked into the intimidating building, though one of them had a much more serious face compared to the other. They both approached a giant desk in the center of the first room with a large man sitting there who probably was the equivalent of both secretary and security in the prison.

Caitlyn stepped forward to speak.

"I need to speak with one of the inmates."

The warden stared her down and gave a glance to the obviously distracted enforcer before lifting and eyebrow, "Oh, folks in here aren't usually very talkative."

Caitlyn took a step forward pushing her voice out to be more clear and show that she was serious, hopefully it would also distract him from Hayden. "This one was hit by friendly fire. He's got reason to talk. Must have been sent in today?"

The warden's eyes tilted away as he came to a realization, "Oh. Inmate 2135... Yeah, I'm, uh, afraid that's not possible."

"Why not?" Both of the girls asked at the same time, making the warden glance back at the other again, but Caitlyn coughed to keep his attention on her.

"Uh, well, there's been... an incident."

"What kind of incident?"

"The...not so pretty kind."

"You don't understand, I have to talk to him." Despite not meaning to, her voice sounded desperate.

"Oh, you'll be able to. As soon as he can move his jaw again."

"Who assaulted him?"

Both ladies were traveling down the elevator, Caitlyn feeling more anxious than she would like kept glancing at the levels they passed, while Hayden just seemed to stare at the passing numbers the entire time until they finally reached the -40th floor. They stepped out slowly, Caitlyn's arm all that kept her partner from walking ahead.

While traveling through the hall they could hear thudding, though both stayed quiet as they approached the first cell, apparently where the assault-er was being held.

Caitlyn peaked inside first while Hayden felt it was best to stay a few feet back, much to the other's relief. Though when she saw the pink haired girl punching a wall, she couldn't help but stare until she turned around.

"Who the hell are you?"

Caitlyn didn't answer as she started speaking through the bars. "I took a look at your file. There's no record of you or your crimes. What are you here for?"

"My sunny personality." As the inmate spoke she started to pace the cell.

"You attacked an inmate. Why?"

"Why not?"

"He was a witness in an ongoing investigation."

"Hmm, bummer."

She let out a sigh before turning away and starting to walk back towards Hayden. "This was a waste of time. Come on Hayden."

Instead of turning to walk with her the other stayed where she was, letting the inmate finally notice her, since she was more focused on Caitlyn beforehand. She shook her head because of course the enforcer had some kind of back up, why wouldn't she have.

"Couldn't have put it better. Hey, give Silco a kiss on that winning eye of his, will you?"

That made Caitlyn stop and turn back around with another sigh. She then looked at her partner who was still just staring at the inmate, so she went back to the cell.

"Silco? The industrialist?"

"Okay, this is getting old. Can you just send in whoever's gonna kick the shit out of me, so I can get on with my night?"

Caitlyn made a face as she went over her options. It was obvious that this woman knew something, but this way of questioning wasn't working in her favor.

She stepped over the recommended pink line. "Does this mean anything to you?" She gestured to Hayden who stepped forward and pulled open a book to show the pages full of her recent investigation.

The inmate slammed against the cell making both girls step back and gasp. Her eyes kept going back and forth from both of them.

"Where did you get this?"

"My question first. He worked for Silco?"

"Uh, they all do. How can anyone not know that? Where did you find this?" It was obvious that her attention was primarily on the book, making Caitlyn more suspicious.

"There was an attack." She then held out her hand for Hayden to give her the book, which she did letting her put it back in her own bag. The only reason she had it was because it kept her occupied on the way to the prison. "This is evidence. I need proof if I'm to believe what you're saying about Silco."

The inmate scoffed, "I could get it for you. Just not from in here."

Though neither girl was paying her anymind Hayden took a step closer to the cell.

Caitlyn let out a small laugh. "In what mad world would I trust someone like you?"

It was obviously the wrong thing to say since it upset the inmate. "Someone like me? You enforcers are all the same. Just asshole criminals in fancy uniforms. You know what? Find Silco yourself."

"I will, thank you." She started to walk away this time, not even calling her partner but still expecting her to follow.

"Hmm... Undercity's gonna eat you alive." The inmate changed her position while still leaning on the bars, this time noticing how close Hayden still was, but not seeing the way Caitlyn seemed to stop and think about her options.

"What do you want?" The question made Cait turn around and see Hayden was just watching the other inmate.

"Hayden?" She called and her partner tilted her head back to glance over her shoulder.

"I'll stay and wait." And somehow it seemed as though Hayden could read her mind, so she just nodded and got back on the elevator.

"Wait for what? Think I'm gonna break out while you two go get the warden?" The inmate sneered but Hayden just slowly backed away, while making sure to keep her eyes locked on her, until her back hit the other wall and then she slid down until she was sitting.

"Nope." Was her simple answer and the inmate furrowed her eyebrows.

"The floors here aren't exactly spotless you know."

"Yeah, but I don't like standing a lot unless I'm moving. But I also told Caitlyn that I wouldn't get lost. So I'm sitting down." She tilted her head slightly to see the rest of the cell, but it was too dark and obviously messy.

"You... aren't like the other one are you?" She was going through her own head trying to figure out what type of tactic this could be. She'd never seen an enforcer be so... Normal? Nonchalant? Simple?

Hayden grinned and her head tilted more. "Thank you for noticing. I also noticed something! And it wasn't just your desperation to figure out how we got our information." She shook her head before looking back down the hall where the elevator was, not caring about the way the inmate was just staring at her. "Obviously something in Cait's book is personal to you. But what I noticed is the way you're looking down on us simply because we're enforcers. I'm assuming you've had some bad experiences in the past."

The inmate scoffed and finally backed away from the bars. "You can say that. But that's probably to be expected. You didn't assume I walked myself in here did you."

Hayden nodded as if she understood but the inmate rolled her eyes. She didn't and she probably never would.

"Yeah but the way you talk seems like you feel their actions are unjustified, like they're all wrong, and as you put it, asshole criminals in fancy uniforms. And since there isn't actually a crime named on your record for you to be here, I can't help but wonder if you might be right or not. From your perspective of course."

The inmate gave her a confused look but before she could say more the elevator finally made a noise to signify Caitlyn was back. The inmate just turned around and waited for what she assumed was another beating, while Hayden finally stood back up.

No one spoke as Caitlyn then unlocked the cell, and then sighed. The inmate just stared for a few seconds as she then turned and walked away, before she looked back at Hayden who smiled and then followed behind her, which made her follow too.

After Vi got a chance to change all three of them went out to get a good view of the undercity.

"I heard the bathysphere has a nice view. That could be a good way to get a lay of the land."

While Caitlyn was confident in her suggestion, Vi only pulled up her head and turned back to the cliff she was on, "Too risky."

"What..." And both Caitlyn and Hayden ended up watching her jump over. When they got close enough they could both see the other girl jumping and flipping over buildings. Hayden's eyes widened in excitement as she immediately tried to follow, though she was a bit wobbly. Caitlyn threw their tickets before doing the same.

Hayden couldn't help but laugh at their pace compared to Vi who was way ahead.

"Well, at least I'm doing better than you!" That just made Cait scowl but when she almost slipped she stopped and went back to focusing on her balance and just trying to keep up.

It took a minute before Caitlyn actually could catch up to Vi, but as soon as she did an outfit was thrown into her arms making her grunt.

"Welcome to the lanes."

"You almost got me killed."

"My little sister could do that when she was 7. All us fissure folk can. Don't you want to blend in?" She then started to walk past her.

"Tell shortstack sorry but I was only able to get two outfits." At that Caitlyn's eyes narrowed.

"You mean Hayden?"

"She's short isn't she. Anyway, I'm kind of surprised you made it here first. She looked more of the type." She chuckled and Caitlyn started to look around them.

"She was... in front of me just a... damn it!" She face palmed herself making Vi look back at her with her hands in her pockets.

"Trouble in paradise? Is she slower than expected?"

"No she... she probably got distracted. But we don't have time to look for her, let's just go. She always seems to find me again after a while."

To her surprise Vi actually did look concerned at that. "This is the Undercity, it isn't exactly the safest place to just 'get lost' in."

"Well I'm sorry but do you know where she is? Because she gets lost multiple times a day, we wouldn't just happen to find her."

Vi gritted her teeth before scoffing. "Just, keep your eyes peeled for her. If she's in that uniform she won't blend in anywhere."
