it was hard to see anything since lots of people were almost on top of her.

"are you alright?"

"oh my god, he hit her hard!"

"she's dead!!!" song's voice echoed insider her mind. she felt lots of arms grabbing hers, helping her to get up and when she finally could open her eyes, they met with hyungwon's worried eyes.

"are you okay soon?" his voice, worried and warm, sent shivers down her spine. everyone was expectant of an answer.

"i think we should take her to the infirmary." jinhwan appeared next to her, grabbing one of her arms.

"let her speak for herself." seulgi said glancing worriedly at soon.

she glanced at everyone and finally her eyes landed on hyungwon. "i am fine."

a heavy and deep sigh escaped hyungwon's lips. he was relieved she was fine and then, the laugh.

his devilish smirk turned into a laugh that soon was followed by the rest present.

soon glared at everyone laughing except at professor song, who looked worried as he approached soon. "professor park, are you sure you're alright? shouldn't we take you to the infirmary or something? to have a doctor check you out-

"that'd be my responsibility. i hit her accidentally – a voice made yunhyeong stop, everyone turned to look at hyungwon – i am the one who should take her. come on." he said helping her up.

park soon, almost against her own will stood from the beach's sandy ground with hyungwon's help. the rest seemed still worried. "i'll take her, don't worry." hyungwon said with a reassuring nod.

she was about to reject him but he quickly dragged her with him away from the crowd. in a way, she was glad he did, but she didn't want to go to the infirmary.

"thanks. but i don't need to go to the infirmary." she said freeing herself from hyungwon's grip.

her head turned heavy and everything around her started spinning around for a brief second. next thing she knew, hyungwon's strong arms caught her in the air, preventing her from falling again.

"i think you should really go to the infirmary. come on." without any other pretexts, she finally agreed and walked with him.

hyungwon asked constantly to the staff around since none of them knew where the infirmary was. with help and guidance from the lobby boys and girls, they finally arrived the small office.

the doctor, a lovely aged woman, received them and treated her wound. she medicated with some pills for the pain and sent her to rest.

soon thanked the woman as hyungwon helped her out of the infirmary. "let's take you to your room." he said as they waited for the elevators, as he pushed the green button.

soon's eyes widened. "i can go by myself." she said, earning a confused look from hyungwon.

"what? nonsense. i am taking you there. i am responsible for you."

"i didn't ask you to take responsibility for me."

"but i hit you with a ball, in your head. i should take full responsibility for you from now on." it seemed he was actually enjoying having this discussion with soon.

she sighed, shaking her head as the elevator arrived.

hyungwon waited for her to get inside as he marked the number on the panel after soon told him.

"you did it on purpose?" she spoke her thoughts. since the infirmary consult, park soon couldn't push away the idea that hyungwon did it on purpose.

he turned to look at her with surprise and widened eyes, pointing at himself as if he was the victim. "me? do you have proof?" he asked, crossing his arms on his chest.

she sighed once the elevator doors opened, both walked out at the same time.

"i don't know... you don't seem too regretful to me."

in that moment, he bit his lip as a smirk appeared on his lips. they arrived soon's room and he stood on the door's frame, leaning in one arm, closing the space between them. "what are you implying?" he asked, his voice somehow lower than before.

soon noticed a change on his eyes, they glowed up with a mischievous light. he was having a great time with this defiant conversation.

she glanced at him warningly. "your regret doesn't feel honest to me." she said stepping inside her room but turning to look at him. they were now facing each other, soon inside the room and hyungwon at the other side of the door.

he smiled. "how can you know about my feelings professor park?"

she shrugged.

she wanted to say: because i know you. and right now, you're lying.

but she knew that wouldn't make any sense on hyungwon's mind since according to him, they only met a few months ago in the university.

"i just have a hunch – she said, at the same time he laughed – and i can read expressions. you're expressions and body language are giving you away professor baek."

he stopped laughing and fixed his eyes on her for a long second. the silence grew between them and soon could swear she saw a hint of melancholy on his eyes.

he sighed, looking into her eyes and not blinking twice he finally confessed. "fine. i did it on purpose." he crossed his arms on his chest, looking at her with scared eyes, since he was surely scared of what she might do or say to him now.

but soon only rolled her eyes and glared at him. "i knew it. but why?"

he licked his lip as if he was thirsty and sighed. "you never want to be alone with me and i wanted to spend some time alone with you-

her eyes widened. "are you crazy? you could have just asked – y-you didn't need to hit me with a ball."

his eyes widened. "i know! i know... it wasn't the right way – but – he said pointing at her with his slim finger – you wouldn't have accepted spend time alone with me even if i asked nicely!" he exclaimed.

"what? how could you know that?"

"because you don't want to be with me... never." he said frowning.

she opened her mouth to say something but then shut it. the whole conversation was ridiculous and just now she noticed.

"there's no reason for us to spend time alone."

he frowned again. "why not? we're friends."

"we're not-

"you said we were friends." he said with a serious now and determined tone.

she swallowed hard. his aura wasn't menacing at all. it was more as if he was begging her.

soon knew that technically it wasn't wrong. she could be friends with a male colleague. but this wasn't any male colleague. it was hyungwon.

closing her eyes she sighed. "either way... what you did was wrong."

he nodded softly, pressing his lips in a thin line. "fine. i am sorry. i promise i'll never do such thing." he said, again popping his little finger, waiting for her to wrap hers around his.

she stared at it and then at his eyes, that shined with then thousand lights. his chest going up and down faster, as if he was hungry for her touch.

the simple and chaste touch of their little fingers, warming up each other's skins.

her heart and chest tightened as she slowly lifted her hand and wrapped her little finger around his.

her brown eyes looked up and found him staring the same way.

in that moment, her whole body grew weak as that simple touch quickly turned into something deeper.

pulling from both sides, soon their faces were inches away from each others, eyes widened and chests beating faster.

the calm before the storm.

soon's ears throbbed as hyungwon's hands trembled. he glanced at her lips for a second and she did the same, remembering all the times her lips had kissed his.

remembering how good it had felt in the past.

once more they looked at each other's eyes, finally closing the space that their lips shared.

eyes closed and only lips moving in sync for a period not superior than the 5 seconds.

only 5 seconds before park soon snapped, remembering that was wrong, every piece of it.

she pushed him away with a shocked face as she took her hands to her lips. "what did you do?" she asked almost desperately.

hyungwon's eyebrows furrowed as he stared at her in confussion, both agitated and longing for more. he took a step towards her to touch her but she tried to close the door on his face.

he put a hand to stop her from closing the door, pushing her open and finally walked inside.

he didn't know what he was doing. he didn't know why he pushed the door open, why he insisted in coming inside her room.

hyungwon didn't know what to do once he was inside.

he glanced around, at her room, looking desperate and confused. trying to calm down his accelerated and crazy beating heart.

a new sensation, he had never felt before.

never.

"i didn't- kiss you... you kissed me." he said pointing at her, playing victim when he knew, it had been both.

she shook her head. "you should go." she said approaching him and pushing him to the door but he turned around and grabbed her face, looking hungrily for her lips again.

he wanted to feel it again.

alive.

he had learned it that the touch of her lips, now, warm and wet, against hers, made him feel alive and frantic.

he could almost feel his blood running through his veins and hearing his own beating heart right on his ears.

she fought back to stop him but the charms were so deep, like a 30 foot kraken that had her captive almost against her will.

difference was, this wasn't an ugly 30 foot kraken and he wasn't being held against her will, almost.

what started as a chaste kiss quickly turned into a heated make up session with hands all over and clouded thoughts.

in that moment, soon forgot she had a husband and hyungwon forgot he had a girlfriend.

his big hands closed the door that was open and they were finally trapped inside her room. soon's hands lifted his shirt while he tried to unbutton her pants. all at the same time they eat each other's mouths and lips.

the temperature increased as the wetness of their kiss. soon felt his teeth greeting her neck and his digits playing with her clothed breasts at the same time she helped him remove his shirt.

their eyes met for a second as they bit their lips when suddenly a phone made her jump.

hyungwon stopped for a second as they both glanced at her phone that she had dropped on top of the bed, kihyun's name appeared on the screen with a picture of kisoonie, their bonsai.

guilt appeared on her face as she looked between them only to realize nothing had happened yet.

guilt.

it was kihyun, calling.

she pushed him away, cleaning her lips with the back of her hand as she gathered her own clothes. "you need to leave." she said, avoiding his eyes and grabbing her phone, locking herself up in the bathroom to take the call.

hyungwon glanced at her confused and hurt as he looked around, finding his shirt lying on top of the nightstand's lamp and then down to his already unbuttoned jeans, only to let out a heavy sigh.

he put on the shirt at the same time his ears caught a piece of the conversation.

"ah no, i wasn't busy. i was alone- we just had lunch and i am going to get some rest before the next workshop..." she spoke on the phone.

his heart crumbled as he put on his shirt and buttoned up his jeans, fixing his hair and general appearance. his eyes changed from a hurt glance to a deep glare as he shook his head and finally walked out of the room.

when soon ended the call, she stepped out of the bathroom only to find her room empty.

he was gone.
