Tomiwa POV

It was Friday and for once it was slow. Like really slow. I and Erica were studying civic education because of the impromptu test we were going to have in the next 1 hours.

The test came and went by in a blur and I honestly can't believe I was seriously studying for the test. It was damn too simple and at the end of the day it was Erica and I that finished first. We were the most brilliant girls in SS3 technical, what were you expecting.

" Omo that test was just too simple."

"Yea, even if we didn't read for it last minute, I am sure we would have still passed it."

I said in agreement to Erica. And she nodded her head in agreement we were busy gisting while waiting for our next teacher when smith decided to resume his post in front of our table. Doesn't he ever get tired, what does he want this time. I thought to my self  But before I could find suitable answer to the question he spoke saying.

"Have ever wonder why I haven't given up on us? It's because  I love you and I want our love story to be the talk of school."

"Noo smith. you don't love me, you are just obsessed with the idea of being in love with me."

"Now that is not true. And I will prove you wrong."

He said staring deeply into my eyes and I could have sworn I saw his eyed spark with untold emotions. Did he really mean what he said or was he just playing the victim.  I guess I'll never know because he was already out the door and out of our class.

The rest of classes went by smoothly but I couldn't stop thinking about what Smith-wAlker said. The only Biracial student this school has, did he really mean what he said I I'm the one putting too much thought into this.

Better focus ooh tomiwa, you don dey loose guard.

My subconscious chided and I obeyed paying full attention to the mathematical teacher. Thank God I obeyed my subconscious because 4 seconds later the teacher called me to come and answer questions in front of the class. That God I want a mathematics guro, I was able to solve with out breaking a sweet even though u wasnt fully paying attention to what the man was teaching.

The next class was pretty funny our geography teacher did less teching and more joking around. That really help if you ask me, because now we would never forget this class or the things he taught us in this class. That is one golden way to teach adding  a little humor to spice things up. which if you ask me works just fine . Even the person we thought was the dumbest in our class was able to answer a few questions thrown at him.

Lunch came by with its drama Again and this time Tiana wasn't the cause of it. Now that I think about it I haven't seen her or her girls all day. This is really weird coming from   Tiana, the right hand man to the principal who never misses schools. Maybe she was sick or something, but then again this is Tiana we are talking about, the current headgirl of Herbert Macaulay prep. There is no way she will be sick and the whole of HMP wouldn't know, heck the whole social media would know about it.

"Well that's a first. Two brave souls are fighting over the last doughnut."

" there is no way I'd do something like that. Pretty stupid if you ask me."

I said responding to what Erica said. We were both eating lunch which was spaghetti and meatballs. Weird but that was all they had on the menu today, either that or doughnut which am not a huge fan off. Don't even asks why it's a long story i am not ready to relive the moment against.

"Hey, can I buy you a cup  of coffee"

Said, Some guy who I recognized was two sets below me . I was shocked at his boldness And courage of which he possessed . He just walk up to our table and said that to my face. Does he not know who I am? this must be a prank for sure and the poor things right now is the bait. Sigh before I could process and give him and appropriate respond Erica who was a little more aggressive than me was quick to respond.

"Hey, peeps-quick... thats your senior ,Right  here."

" Oh i am sorry, I didn't know I... I just movied i——"

"We'll keep moving"

said Erica a death glare in her eyes as she won't even let the poor boy land. After I an Erica shared a knowing look we both busted into laugher. It was the look of horror in his face when Erica said we were his seniors. Can you just I imagine look what this school has turned us into.

Now a Junior form SS1 for that Matter is trying to ask me out on a date , to rub shoulders with Me. Goodness this is unbelievable, but than God this is my last day in this school. Too bad Erica can't come with, I can't believe she is going to have to put up with this.

Before we knew it school was over and Instead of going home, i and Erica Headed to Golden fray. We got there as exactly 2:30pm and I immediately got to work, since it was a working day there were not much customers. So we just sat and talked basically and of cus I baked alittle something for us to eat, Cookies.

" you know, Erica. It's sad that people think when they get to the top everybody around them is as good and their slave. Take Miss Okiki for example, she is well over 25, not Married and yet she thinks  it's my fault."

I complained to Erica reminiscing on how badly I have been treated thanks to my soul called guardian Miss Okiki. That woman is  Voldemort personified if you ask me, Voldemort is even way nicer that her when it comes to some certain things self.

" I know right there's a saying that goes, pride goes before a fall and Miss Okiki'a pride is far bigger than our school."

"Which makes it all the more reason why, when she falls,she's going to fall hard. so hard that she's not going to be to get ourselves back up"

I said In agreement to what she said. She had a strong point and I was really hoping that Miss Okiki would Change her ways before it was too late. I shock my head in pity of what was to befall her, life can be very unpredictable if you ask me. If I knew my parents were going to depart the way they did... sigh I don't even want to think about it, as i brought my mind back to what Erica was saying.

" I know right. It's just pitiful honestly, like why will you treat your fellow human so poorly because you are at an advantage."

"Hmph, to show sign of power and dominance obviously. Ever since she heard about my little scandal at school, she gave me a punishment I would never forget. I didn't eat food in that house for the next two weeks. It's a miracle I survived."

I explained to Erica the kind of punish I got for a scandal I had nothing to do with. Those were the most horrible two weeks of my life, I mean because of it now she doesn't trust me around boys my age. Does she think I am that loose that I would pouch on any guy that walks pass me. Gawd I am Disappointed in her to think of me that way, I am not Tiana for pit sake.

"She is a witch how could she do such a thing. She is even worse than I imagined, I'm sorry you have to go through all of this Tomiwa. but don't forget there is always light at the end of the tunnel."

"Thanks Erica. I am glad to have you as a touch lighter to walk in this tunnel with me."

I said wiping a stray tear away from my eye. She smiled at me and held my hand that was both on the table. We were like that for a few minutes before the bell at the door jingled to alert us a customer was around. Good this we had both finished our Cookies and soft drink. While she help Me wash the plate we used I went to attend to the customer.
