Hey guys! I'm so sorry that I've been gone for so long, but I'm back! Also, can we talk about how many READS I got while I was gone?! Nearly 7,000! Thanks so much for the support guys. Without further ado, let's get into the story ;).

If you want some background on this, read the chapter called "Parenthood // Steve Rogers". Maya is still 6 in this story.

You woke up to a warm arm wrapping around your waist. Turning over and slowly opening your eyes, you meet the gaze of your loving husband, Steve.

"Mornin'  Y/N," he rasps. You smile as he runs his fingers through your hair, causing you to nuzzle your face into his shoulder. "We should get up."

You move your head back to look at him lazily. "How about no?"

He smiled and kissed your forehead. The moment was ruined when you suddenly heard an ear-piercing scream from Maya's room. Both of your eyes shot open before you two flew out of bed, darting toward her room. Steve threw the door open and ran inside.

"What's wrong?!" he demanded. Maya turned to face you with the brightest smile you'd ever seen.

"It's snowing!" she exclaimed. You breathed a sigh of relief as you made your way to the window she was standing at. She was right. Snowflakes slowly floated down, reminding you of the magic of winter. "Can we go sledding?"

"I don't see why not," Steve smiled. Noise yet again filled the room as Maya jumped around and squealed in excitement. "Why don't I get her dressed while you find some sleds?"

You nodded and went to the garage. You searched high and low, left and right, but there were absolutely no sleds. It was strange that it only just occurred to you that your family is not prepared for winter at all. Just when you had given up hope, Steve and Maya entered the garage. Well, Steve entered. Maya waddled in because her snow pants were so thick.

"Have you found a sled?" Steve asked. You sighed, knowing that you would be disappointing your daughter.

"No, we have nothing. How have we gone this long without buying a sled?" you wondered.

"There has to be something...," Steve trailed off, looking around. Suddenly an epiphany hit you both, and your gazes slowly turned to a particular object.

"Are you sure?" you asked.

"Why not?" he shrugged. He walked over and picked up his shield, then looked at Maya with a sparkle in his eyes. "Let's go sledding!"

Maya squealed with excitement as Steve scooped her up and ran out of the garage toward the hill, giggling as they went. You smiled to yourself and followed after them. By the time you caught up, Maya was already sliding down the hill atop Steve's precious shield. You wrapped your arms around Steve and he did the same, letting you nuzzle your face into his chest.

"That was nice of you to let her use your shield," you mumbled.

"What was I supposed to do? Disappoint her? That would have been a nightmare," he chuckled.

After a few rounds of Maya sledding down the hill, she trudged back up and stopped in front of you and Steve.

"Dad, you should try!" she beamed.

"Uh... I'm not so sure sweetheart," he declined. Her face instantly fell at his words.

"Please?" she whined. He considered this for a moment, then sighed.

"Alright," he conceded.

"Yay! Can I take a video on your phone mom?" she begged.

"Sure," you agreed, handing her your phone. Steve took the shield from Maya and sat down on it, then he turned around to you and started to speak.

"This hill is pretty steep-"

Before he could even finish his sentence, you had put your foot on his back and shoved him down the hill. He started yelling as he tightly gripped the sides of the shield. You and Maya laughed at his terror, until you realized something. In the midst of all the fun, you had failed to factor in that Steve is quite massive, which meant that he was now moving very fast down the hill. Everything seemed to be going fine. That was, until he hit a well masked rock under the snow. Suddenly he was launched into the air, screaming even louder. You gasped and covered your mouth, waiting to see what would happen. Seconds became hours as you watched him fly. He continued to scream, but he was silenced when he fell into a deep snow mound and disappeared completely.

"Steve!" you screamed. "Stay here Maya!"

You took off, barreling down the hill toward him. Once you arrived at the snow mound, you dug through the snow and finally uncovered his face. He shot up into a sitting position and looked at you like a mad man.

"Are you ok?!" you demanded, checking him for injuries. He just grinned.

"That was awesome!" he exclaimed. Upon seeing this you calmed down and sighed with relief. "I just wish I could have seen it. That had to look hilarious."

"Don't worry. I'm pretty sure Maya recorded the whole thing," you assured him.

"In that case, we should get back to the house," he decided. You two made your way back up the hill to the house and brought Maya inside, helping her out of her snow gear.

"Maya, why don't you go pick a movie while we get Dad some warm clothes?" you suggested. Maya nodded and skipped to the living room.

You brought Steve to your shared room and went to your closet to find him some dry clothes. You chose a white t-shirt and gray plaid sweat pants, and when you returned to your room you found Steve standing in nothing but a pair of boxers, violently shivering. You threw the clothes on your bed.

"Alright you big baby, put on your clothes and go make your daughter some hot chocolate," you giggled.

"I'm a soldier, not a baby," he shot back.

"Mmhmm," you smiled, leaving the room.

You sat with Maya on the couch and started watching Mulan. After around ten minutes Steve appeared, fully dressed and with hot chocolate. You three sat there until the end of the movie, and when the credits began you looked over and found that Maya was fast asleep on Steve's lap. You smiled, draping a blanket over them and kissing their foreheads. You turned off all the lights and retired to your bed, a content smile decorating your face.
