The atmosphere at the hospital was heart wrenching. Neil was too much in shock while DD was running around handling both hospital work as well as office works. Suddenly, doctor came out to pat on Neil's shoulders.

Dr: Mr.Khanna. Come to my cabin.

Neil came into his senses and silently went behind the doctor prepared for the worst to come. He could handle anything but not losing her.

Neil: Yes doctor?

Dr: Listen to me very carefully Mr.Khanna. Your wife is fine and out of danger.

Neil's face lit up with happiness and he let out a sigh.

Neil: Thankyou so much doctor.

Dr: You are welcomed. But, there is more to it. The poison is completely flushed out of her body. But, some have seeped too much in. Her right hand will stay numb and unusable for sometime. She would suffer temporary paralysis for her right arm where the poison was smeared.

Neil: Will she be fine?

Dr: Ofcourse she will be. Maximum 10 days. You should be with her everytime. She should not take stress that a part of her body is not working. You have to keep her motivated.

Neil: Yes doctor. I understand.

Dr: There is yet something more Mr.Khanna. She might find it difficult to talk. She may fumble and would take time to communicate. Its the poison effect. Nerves there are damaged temporarily. Ye issue around 5 days me teek ho jayega. But you must take care of her. She may feel low. You must encourage her to speak and practice. If she chokes during speaking, ask her to stop there. Neil: Yes. Completely doctor. I will take care of everything. Can I ring you up in case of any trouble?

Dr: Sure! I will always be available for you. You can take your wife home tomorrow morning.

Neil: Thankyou Doctor.

Neil went to meet Avni and took her right hand in his. Avni signalled in a "no" as to she doesn't feel anything. He planted a kiss on her fingers and assured her that everything will be alright.

Neil: Bhook lagi hai?

Avni: Haan.

Neil: Kya khana hai?

Avni: K...k...kuch bhi
mee..mee..meetha..

Neil: Meetha? Okay kal breakfast me kuch bhi meeta khayenge hum. I promise.

Avni: I can't...taa..taalk..

Neil: properly na? Its okay. You will be fine. Main hu na? I will be your voice whenever you are in need. I can be your hands too. Thode dinon ki hi tho baath hai. Just chill wifey!

Avni smiled heartily. Both of them dozed off holding hands.
